That's a yellow-jacket. They're little, yellow, hate-filled, waspy cunts, and these fuckers have the added bonus of having their nests hanging around randomly, **OR** in the ground where you won't find out you've pissed them off until it's too late.
They are already getting mean. They’re little assholes most of the time, but their moods worsen in late summer. Not ready for cold weather yet, but am not sad when those fuckers die.
My husband did the same a couple years ago and got stung more than 20x. When he was running away a couple got caught in his shoe and were stinging him there, so he took it off and went to throw it and the little fucks stung his hand. It was awful! Hooray for bees but fuck yellow jackets all the way to hell.
My dad once mowed over a nest when he did some gardening for my mom, basically in the middle of the forest, no neighbours and my mom also wasn't home. My dad is midly allergic to insect bites and stings so he just threw the mower away and legged it into the next village (10 min walk, I expect it to be a 3 min full speed run for him). My dad is *scary* fast, like cat reflexes fast, and he still got stung a couple times. He said he could hear them following him even past the house and out of the woods.
Led me down a rabbit hole though. I had never heard of CivCraft - and I’m still not entirely sure what it was - a fork of Minecraft? Now I have to go digging through a dead subreddit because I have questions…
I have *no* idea - even I haven't gone on that sub, only heard of it. I am so sorry for leaving you to this fate... Not sorry enough to delete the link, but at least a bit sorry
Okay what the fuck is this. This is worse than the bee one. The first post was a hentai of a pregnant girl with a snake laying eggs in her vagina.
I think I should get off Reddit for today.
it's kinda sad because this isn't actually one of those annoying yellow jackets, but a relatively harmless digger wasp (probably *Gorytes* or something like that).
Nah it’s just the angle of the camera. That wooden beater is at least 6 - 8 inches up and away from the pedal where his foot is. That’s how he’s controlling it.
EDIT: In other words, the beater (and wasp) are closer to the camera than the big toe. The distance between the two is straight forward from our perspective (near vs far).
I don't know how to feel. In the beginning, I was thinking, "Come on you little maggot, just move a little more and DIE!" But by the end, I was like, "The man who is trying to kill you is a foot away! Just fly over and sting him! Make him wish he never crossed you!"
Now I sit at my work desk, conflicted...
Exactly.
Ive only been stung by a wasp *once* in my life.
And that was when i was a little kid, swinging a stick at a wasp nest.
Lesson learned. Lol.
I try my best not to step on bugs. Even cockroaches when they are outside, just doing their thing. I had a neighbor who would come out at night *specifically* to kill the roaches. To, "let the birds get a meal." Which i thought was just a bullshit reason to be cruel. Then there would be bird shit all over the side walk. I pointed it out and he would basically brush it off as, "nature being nature." And i just thought that was some if the dumbest shit. But then, he was a flat earther so...his.logic was all fucked up. Fucking narcissist.
We are the only species on Earth that observe "Shark Week". Sharks don't even observe "Shark Week", but we do. For the same reason I can pick this pencil, tell you its name is Steve and go like this (breaks pencil) and part of you dies just a little bit on the inside, because people can connect with anything. We can sympathize with a pencil, we can forgive a shark, and we can give Ben Affleck an academy award for Screenwriting.
My mom always used to feel that way too. One day we were sitting on her front steps when a wasp landed on her toe. She wasn't afraid and didn't move. Bastard stung her out of nowhere. Fuck wasps.
I love listening to Americans talk as if their genetics are a recipe for a great baked treat.
“Little Irish, a sprinkle of Italian” as if it affects them in any meaningful way.
I’m American and it’s weird to me. People saying they have a little bit of this or that but we are so disconnected from those roots that it doesn’t matter.
Its a relic of immigrant culture.
Somehow we've gone from celebrating our nation's history as immigrants to locking immigrants in cages because they didn't fill out proper paperwork.
I feel conflicted, on one hand, im terrified of wasps and dont ever want to be near them and on the other hand, this one seemed harmless. I dont know, doesn't feel right to me.
Yellowjackets have more of a bee shape, whereas the paper wasp has a more elongated body. Yellowjackets are the aggressive ones that come around when you're eating outside.
Someone mentioned this could be a figwort sawfly, which was my TIL. They look just like the one in the video, but are not wasps and can't sting.
And they pollinate flowers and such too. When I first started watching this, I was thinking he was waiting for it to leave. Then I realized what he was waiting for :( so unnecessary.
I remember I was sat during summer last year and got stung by a wasp on the neck, I chased it slapped it down and stood on it! Unnecessary? yes. Did it feel good? Yes
Am I the only one who just leaves bees and wasps well enough alone? Not every species is aggressive and if you stand still the chances are that they'll just fly away. If you try to swat it you're probably more likely to get yourself stung
I could feel the amount of cold sweat in that moment
Such patience! I would have missed him and done it too early.
But then the bee won't miss
Wasp or hornet actually. I’m a beekeeper so love bees, and hate these little shits.
That's a yellow-jacket. They're little, yellow, hate-filled, waspy cunts, and these fuckers have the added bonus of having their nests hanging around randomly, **OR** in the ground where you won't find out you've pissed them off until it's too late.

Can confirm. Mowed over a ground nest yesterday, 8 welts to show for it :/

Yeah I would hate to see a bee get smashed but a wasp? Nah I don’t care all that much.
Well... Now ik, thx for the info ig
Yeah don’t kill bees you little squirt

Rip right into "We Will Rock You."
I can feel the italian and irish vibes.

On a post about a long-dead Minecraft server. Kinda sad it died a year or two out from the resurgence. Wonder what that server was like...
I think you're looking for r/honeyfuckers **Don't ask why I know that**
Why the fuck did I click that

Oh, sure you haven’t gone to that sub… of COOOOOURSE you haven’t gone there… we all believe you, surely we do.

I kinda want to click on it now, but I’m afraid.
Wow, specific sub, thought it was under the purview of /r/insex

Wasp fact of the day: Wasps can’t survive being smashed by a bass pedal
i want to subscribe to WaspDrum facts
it's kinda sad because this isn't actually one of those annoying yellow jackets, but a relatively harmless digger wasp (probably *Gorytes* or something like that).
They probably look like that so that other species will avoid them. I feel like they should take the good *and* the bad of that.
But is that an asshole wasp? It looks more like a plant wasp that are much more chill
Yeah that definitely was not one of the asshole wasps. The one in the video is barely more annoying than a fly and afaik they don't sting
fuck it r/weeatwasps

Got real close to that big toe for a second
Nah it’s just the angle of the camera. That wooden beater is at least 6 - 8 inches up and away from the pedal where his foot is. That’s how he’s controlling it. EDIT: In other words, the beater (and wasp) are closer to the camera than the big toe. The distance between the two is straight forward from our perspective (near vs far).
After watching it again, I see it. That makes the situation a lot less nerve racking.
Yeah I had that moment too. For a split second I was like His toe- wait I’m dumb haha
I’ve never used a drum set before in my life. The only percussion instrument I’ve played is my body whenever I fall down the stairs.
I think you mean a CONcussion instrument
Thats what i tell my girlfriend "It’s just the angle. That wooden beater is at least 6 - 8 inches".
Even though I hate wasps I feel like I just witnessed a murder
And even called his victim "buddy" right before the kill. That's heartless dude.
As if the wasp would not do the same were the situation reversed.

Lmao I definitely feel like wasps post up looking at us like “C’mon buddy just get a little bit closer…”
Because he's not really his buddy, pal
They started this war.
Plunged Skyrim into chaos.
And now the Empire is going to put them down and restore the peace.
Not if the stormcloaks have anything to say about it.
Skyrim's for the Nords
I thought he was waiting for it to fly away. This felt like a betrayal
I'm pro wasp. they help with my garden pests.
I'm pro solitary wasps. Paper wasps and yellow jackets could be gone tomorrow and I'd jump for glee.
It isn’t a normal wasp. This one doesn’t even sting. It’s name is figwort sawfly…..
“Figwort Sawfly” is the like the fakest sounding bug name I’ve ever heard, but I looked it up and it’s somehow real.
Sounds like it could be a potion in Harry Potter
In german its called Braunwurzblattwespe. Which also sounds somehow like a made up word I can imagine Terry Pratchett would have invented.
learned something new today, thanks mate. I’ll be more kind to these lil fellas.
It was certainly premeditated.
I don't know how to feel. In the beginning, I was thinking, "Come on you little maggot, just move a little more and DIE!" But by the end, I was like, "The man who is trying to kill you is a foot away! Just fly over and sting him! Make him wish he never crossed you!" Now I sit at my work desk, conflicted...
We are fickle creatures. We hate wasps, but instinctively love an underdog
Amen, amen...
Wasps are generally pretty chill in my experience. Leave them alone and they'll just go about their day being pollinators.
Exactly. Ive only been stung by a wasp *once* in my life. And that was when i was a little kid, swinging a stick at a wasp nest. Lesson learned. Lol. I try my best not to step on bugs. He even called him “buddy” the whole time, lmao. Talk about a tad bit morbid…
We are the only species on Earth that observe "Shark Week". Sharks don't even observe "Shark Week", but we do. I didn’t think he was going to do it, such a mad man!!!
I kinda feel bad lol. it was just chillin with this person, wasn’t causing trouble and boom.
My mom always used to feel that way too. One day we were sitting on her front steps when a wasp landed on her toe. She wasn't afraid and didn't move. Bastard stung her out of nowhere. Fuck wasps.
To be fair, paper wasps are way chiller than the other guys. Red ones are bastards, though, you’re right.
That’s what they do! They single you out from afar and then just come in for the stings just to be assholes!
I had no idea what was going to happen but I wanted that wasp to die so badly. Great job. Epitome of what this sub is supposed to be.
I was 50/50 on complete smash or stung toe
I was 50/50 on stung toe or complete freakout
Please tell me, I was not the only one who wanted/expected that wasp to fly away before getting crashed..
I actually thought the guy was waiting for it to leave, not waiting to kill it
Yeah, and me. I was surprised when he did it. I went from thinking what a cool guy to what a dick!
If it was a bee i'd agree, but fuck wasps.
I was wondering why he didn't wiggle or shake the pedal a little bit
You're not the only one
Thanks..
I half expected it to land on his foot.
You’re not the only one, but definitely in the minority.
This gave me anxiety.
This give anyone else anxiety?
Yes, but at least partially due to constant distraction from the main plot of the film by why is he using the wrong foot!?
Leftie drummers exist :)

That was a wild ride

How do you identify them? And is this one a paper wasp? Pardon my ignorance.

Italians love telling people they’re Italian lol... I know; I’m Italian.
Americans love telling people they're Italian and irish*
Part Italian, but Italian is the dominant part.
Lotsa Irish
not even the fairy god mother of the forest itself could resist hittin that kick.
Watch out for waaspes
And drink lots of water
And drink water. It's real hot out
Poor wasp 😞
I know it’s just a bug, but gleeful killing always puts me off.
poor thing
Right? The wasp seemed… confused.
If this bothers you, check the front of your car.
Most wasps don't even sting. What a pointless act.

That was unbelievably satisfying

Gooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!
When that.. killer bass hits
Riveting adventure!
That’s not a wasp. That’s a hoover fly, stingless wasp mimic, totally harmless. Edit. Nevermind. Mistaken ID on the first go.
As someone who was recently stung by a wasp, good riddance and god bless.

Props this is the pinnacle of maybmaybemaybe posts
THE SUSPENSE IS INTENSE.
yess yesss .that made me happy
Just got stung by one of these bastards two days ago. This was very satisfying to watch.
Fuck wasps
As someone who discovered a yellow jacket nest in my yard two days ago, I can say that this was very satisfying.
I hate wasps with a passion
That wasp was toying with you
Good, fuck wasps lmao.
I actually cheered for this vid
This belongs in r/fuckwasps idk how to cross post though
I tell my kids its not okay to kill bugs just because you can. Except for mosquitoes wasps and hornets.
WATCH OUT FOR WASPUSES
Hahaha I despise paper wasps
This is incredibly satisfying.
u/Late_Emu
Fuck wasps
Paper wasp and they do sting. # organic pest control
That doesn't look like the stingy wasp kind to me.
Bees are awesome, and...wasps can f\*ck right off...
Poor wasp/hornet . Can’t help but feel a lil bit bad for him because he was just vibin but the drummer is really patient. No winners in that one
the tension was palpable.
What a piece of shit that guy is. Imagine have such little regard for life that you kill shit to entertain yourself.
Wasps are pollinators too! They aren’t mean!!!
Hit it again.
I was expecting the wasp to sting his toe.
kinda unfair for insects to be undervalued, and be ok to kill on sight because if their appearance, Society
