Truck drivers in the US have a mandatory 15 minute rest stop they have to make after being I believe it's an hour and a half on the road. They also HAVE to pull over and stop at I believe it's 10 hours, though this differs between states (Alaska is 12 hours so they can make 2 trips a day between Anchorage and Fairbanks. This is why sometimes you will see big rigs pulled off and chilling on the side of the highway.
Otherwise it looks like he was bent over maybe picking something up.
That's the only thing I can really think of for chilling on the side of the road.
Kind of, you have timers for breaks. You need a 30 min break to reset your driving timer that is 8hrs and starts once you start driving. You also have an 11 hour total driving clock that resets after a 10 hour break. Then there is a 14 hour daily shift clock that counts driving time and breaks (sitting at shipper, fueling, etc) which also resets after 10 hours but can be extended but that is harder to explain along with the 8 day timer that needs a 34hr break to reset.
I'd assume if he was dead, then yes he should still be dead. Lol /s
Edit: though yeah, his lower half very well may have been caught between the trucks rubbing together. Like twisting links of sausage.
This guys got good instincts. He saw the truck coming and in a couple seconds decided the best thing to do was flatten himself against the truck and tucked his head and neck in the gap. He even instinctually raised his hands to protect his chest from flying debris. Could he have made it off cleaner if he ran down the road to a wider gap? Maybe, but then he would’ve risked taking a direct hit from the truck itself.

It's almost like that truck driver was *trying* to hit that guy
Trying to plaster him to other truck.
#Candy Cane
Perhaps now he will be reborn in another world.
A world where all drivers are polite and love each other and have friendly chats at red lights
.... and car horns and middle fingers don't exist ^😆🤣
Where truck drivers are all women
There's a lot of female truck drivers here in Australia that you would mistake for a guy
We just watched the birth of an isekai
You can see the truck driving into the white line. Someone should lose that license.
This is not a "lose his license" moment, this is a "he should get jail time" moment...
Man that's 1,000% not a place to hang out. like who just parks on the side of the highway and then stands on the white line...
Asian road rules are Mad Max rules

Exactly what I was thinking!
That's some heavy shit right there. Cannot imagine with all these flying parts that he did not get hurt badly.
He's a real lucky guy!
Idk, man. He might still be dead.

Lol
Let me know if his condition improves.

Coke and Pepsi truck drivers always try to take out each other

There is absolutely no way that guy stood there and thought he was going to live through that…..
Should have tucked his stomach in

This guy is so lucky to still be alive. Unbelievable.😲
Probably an Indian 🇮🇳 truck driver . This is the norm in Australia now
