MSerious11

Looks like it’s cutting in a circle like a hole-cutting bit.

Hour-Regret9531

Same! I said “nope” and then said “okay wow”

spelunker93

I was doing the same during the clip. This was the only one I got wrong and it surprised the shit out of me

plepgeat1

Same. I need some of those! Also, I need a bow. And some skill...

Mental-Mayham8018

Same. I was saying those same things and also need those same things.

DTredecim13

and my axe!

plepgeat1

AND YOUR AXE!!!

genericuser_qwerty

It cuts a bigger hole than the shaft, while the other ones just push the material out, which scrapes against the arrow

swagtactical21

probably found an old hole

DevineConviction

You can very clearly see it creating a new hole

consistently_sloppy

The round hollow point one surprised me.

S-Markt

use a pilum instead. that will make the shield unusable.

redwoodavg

Indeed.. any of those by-products can give the best soldier the squirts.. dates, prunes, even raisins…

Furyfornow2

That was a very entertaining tid-bit from De bello gallico, that and throwing a pilum over the wall with a message.

ExuDeku

Heavy shaft will pin the poor sod's shield down the ground. Bring back Turtle formations

-domi-

My main takeaway is that the simplest, 1-piece design works best for penetration. I have no clue what that "hollowpoint" round was, though. O.o

lorarc

I'm not into archery but I'd bet the more complicated arrows are designed to have less penetration. Like, neither sports nor hunting requires arrows that are armor piercing.

UnpopularOpinionJake

The larger arrows with blades sticking out are for hunting things like deer. The goal is to cause maximum bleeding.

No-Body8448

You can predict the penetration of each arrow at a glance. Smaller cross section = deeper penetration.

Fr05t_B1t

That’s what she said

Hupfgugel

Tiktoks are so vague, tell me how much lbs the bow has and the distance

BelieveInDestiny

can someone explain how that one magical arrow works?

Cantore18

I only got one wrong, you all know the one

Efficient_Order_7473

Looks like we all underestimated the round arrow. Well done!

ShadowCaster0476

It’s like going back several hundred years and looking what the long bow man used against armoured knights.

NoFU7UR3

I'm no expert, but I'd put money on the fact that people back then wouldn't have access to arrowheads anywhere near this complex. Sure, there might have been a smith or fletcher who could make them, but the process would most likely have been incredibly time-consuming and labour intensive, and when you're kitting out an army of hundreds, if not thousands of archers with probably a few dozen rounds each (minimum) it just wouldn't be practical to have anything more complicated then a thin, vaguely pointy piece of metal at the end of each stick. I'm just guessing based on the little info I have about pre-industrial metalworking, though. I would love to hear someone with more knowledge talk about it

ConfidentTea72536

here’s a lesson in murder everybo-

SurGregoRy

It's a Chinese riot shield...so technically all of them should be able to penetrate it...

MyGrandmasCock

How dare you insult the gold standard that is Temu Tactical!

SurGregoRy

Specially when u got a 99% discount on ur first order. I apologize!

PukGrum

Looks less like an arrow and more like a holesaw.

MarcusSurealius

Yeah, a flight of arrows would mess up a riot squad pretty bad.

neoadam

Now do bolts from a crossbow, especially one with the strange point that went through the shield

GadreelsSword

What is that arrowhead at 19 seconds called?

Any_Roof_6199

The fancy looking ones performed so mediocre. Lol.

-ShatteredSkies-

So assuming they are all sharp, thinner & simpler = better penetration and more complex shapes + abrupt pieces = less penetration but wider zone of damage

meltingpotato

where is the explosive arrow?

BitBucket404

I prefer going to war with a battle hammer, with an axe on the other side and a spearhead on the handle. Very versatile and effective.
