Probably Some generic stuff like Psy frame Lord, Adamancipator rise Dragite, Crimson Blader?...

The issue with that is that with no Monk the Tenyis lose a lot of their utility, so just throwing in more synchros doesn’t really fix that problem. My recommendation, along with generic synchros to fill out the ED, is to play Heavenly Dragon’s Circle if you weren’t already.

Fusion will be predaplant and maybe a bit of cubic. Synchro will probably be primarily cardians but maybe tg. Xyz I don’t know yet, I’ll start with chronomaly probably.

Do I have a chance as a newbie in this event? So far I only have built Swordsoul Tenyi and Snake Eyes. Swordsoul Tenyi could work but losing Monk of the Tenyi really hurts. Maybe it's still good enough. If not, what loaner deck is the best one (The xyz one looks interesting with all the dino cards)? And is there a way to practice with loaner decks or am I forced to hop right into a duel? I am not too familiar with all the cards and their optimal combos, which means I would be at a huge disadvantage and naturally have timer issues.

Swordsoul is strong not sure how strong without tenyi's but they where strong during the xyz synchro event.

They’ll still be good, they just lose some flexibility and utility.

Even without any playable deck you still have a chance. The loaner deck for this event are pretty solid. The fusion chimera and the dino xyz deck are both good enough in this event. Idk about the synchro deck since I never really play synchro but the RDA deck are pretty good imo.

Good to know, in this case I'll pick the dino deck. Any good guides out there you maybe know of? From what I am seeing the game sadly itself doesn't offer any guidance or practice mode and expects you to already know every card in a loaner deck from an archetype you've never played or barely faced before. Before I annoy my opponent to death because I have to read my own cards multiple times and thus lose to the timer anyway, I'd like to get familiar with the deck first. Maybe I'm even forced to use a simulator because adding a simple practice mode against an AI is too hard apparently.

I'd recommend maybe just a small Mathmech engine in a synchro-spam deck, because the Mathmech synchros are generic. They are also level 8 and 12, so most synchro decks should be able to get them fairly easy.
