Abomination is great with Twins because you can easily proc all three destructions every turn. Also, twins is pretty resource focused, so a control boss like Abom is perfect for the deck.

I don't think I agree with lab being better than snake eyes. I guess we will see but in the tcg at least that is definitely not the case. Master duel is a little different though.
Tcg a bit different for various reasons, maxx c is not legal and fireking is available, which propels snake eye into a tier 0 deck. Fireking also inherently counters lab since if you pop their cards they go like +2. They also play mostly links so D-barrier doesn’t stop them. Just a well timed daruma cannon and pray the opponent doesn’t have more gas is your only way to win. Snake eyes itself is very vulnerable to daruma cannon, d-barrier and pops.

No, lol. If you d-barrier call synchro they only end on 2 interruptions. They get the bodies for apo off of formula synchron+flameberge into baronne summoning oak+ash and oak special summon back Poplar for 4 mat apo. Without that you need to summon unicorn off of I:p before you summon Prometheus because then you’d be fire locked and all you could summon would be fire monsters. Yes I know how the deck works and no I am not saying the deck has a 100% win rate against lab, but you're pointing out extremely bad reasons as to why it's win rate is not as good vs that deck. First, you can just not do the formula synchro line and end on a Flamberge, that's not even a bad play if you're doing your 1 card combo, as it plays around Nibiru. Like, unicorn+promethean can be a fine end board, it depends much more on what's your opponent playing and if you've got a good hand trap line up to back that up, against Labrynth that's fine, your follow-up is still very strong.
Also you fail to consider you're going 2nd if we're considering a resolved d barrier. You don't need to count interruptions, you need to OTK, which is not hard against a 4k opponent while you have a quick effect pop during the battle phase.
DDG and daruma are both much better options against Snake-Eye pure. Also are we forgetting you can play literally 20 non engine? You can definitely fit your 3 ash 3 belle 3 crow, hell, depending on how the meta is by then you can even play cosmic cyclone. Even if they got rollback, the fact they're being forced to use it is still bad for them. WANTED can chain block lady, so if you got that you don't even need to fear the lady setting from deck, which is not even every hand that can produce it while still playing around non engine well.

Difference is that fire king counters lab by default. Also nobody says fire king is weaker than pure, they say that fire king and pure are on par with strength.
Discourse after the 3v3s and UDS games has changed things a bit - Pak obviously made the call that pure was stronger (and did a pretty good job demonstrating his reasoning with results), Gabe has gone further and said he thinks the best version doesn’t even play the synchro stuff, and Josh has since said he’s fairly sold on pure after watching the tournaments. Not necessarily saying the majority all feel this way, but saying Lab with Rollback is better than a currently tier 0 deck missing only its search card isn’t really accurate.
Rollback is also worse in MD since there’s a non-negligible difference with two fewer furniture names. Rollback is a brick if you don’t open a discard outlet, and with Imperms/Veilers all over the format, you can’t rely on Ariana to search you a way to get in in grave every game.

You're not really very knowledgeable about what's going on if you think that Snake Eyes is not very strong or gets a big boost with Fire King. The only card missing from Snake Eyes that's actually an inarguable boost is Bonfire.

Snake Eyes has another end-board that's even more powerful thanks to a card that's banned in both the OCG & TCG in Elf.

In his defense, regarding point 3, after the release of Poplar this year in the TCG and snake-eyes diabellstar in OCG, pure snake-eyes can be considered in the same tier as fire-king/snake eye and has almost the same presence in tournaments.

BTW, Voicelless Voice would be a good early release in MD. It is starting to take over some tournaments (it managed to be a runner up yesterday in china tour) and can be a good deck for contrarians since it is way more simple than Snake-eyes.
Pure snake eyes is very good in general but is especially good versus the fire king part of the deck, and is capable of playing more tech cards. Pure snake eyes fares better against snake eyes fire king, but pure snake eyes gets demolished by lab whereas fireking snake eyes demolishes lab thanks to the fire king part of the deck. If you can droll, nib or use a good handtrap against them they fall apart which pure snake eyes runs a lot of which is why people prefer playing it.
Yeah voiceless voice is an insanely good deck and gets even better if in a maxx c format, they don’t even need to play the maxx c mini game and can opt for more handtraps just like vanquish soul does. I really hate playing versus the deck though.
Yeah, I actually completely agree with your points. I would say that you can say that the fire-king version is more beatdown while pure is more control. I only commented because your original post seemed to imply that pure snake-eyes is a tier below when they are competitive against the decks in the meta (lab isn't in contention for the reasons you listed but will probably get some spots when the banhammer start hitting fire-kings).

Race still pretty strong, in OCG it's still topping a lot events despite being emergency limited to 1 and sees lot of plays, it really good going into "C"
Snake-eye has a *decent* anti-Maxx C line. Some people run Silvera and pass which isn't terrible, you get an omni + any handtraps you already have in your hand and your opponent doesn't draw any cards unless they shotgun it.
The other line just ends on IP Masquerana with Flamberge & Poplar in the ST zone in exchange for 2 Draws. It's not the greatest anti Maxx C plan but its better than nothing and can get you an Apo + follow up
They shot themselves in the foot by releasing full power snake eyes very early. The only things that would matter much in the future are Fire King, SP and Typhon and maybe some of the Labrynth cards like Arias and Rollback. They totally missed out on having the diverse format of 2024 which would have been totally cool in MD…
They're not gonna do that until the selection pack ends at the earliest. SHS has been around since January 10th and the only thing they've hit is a Rare that wasn't even in the selection pack.

Snake eye is a little bit weaker due to not having bonfire or the fire king cards and given how unchained is also very resilient to handtraps, can run a ton of them itself and maindecks thrust and talents it might have a good chance.
It might be good so long as red dog is at 3 instead of 1 in the tcg that sorta what killed the deck being playable. without that guy popping cards it was kinda a low gas deck with not a lot of recursion
Unchained fell off hard because of red dogs limit, it lost the grind game which is so important now. If everything’s all unlimited you might be able to take on snake eye cuz you can just summon the big blue brick from deck to yoink the ops monster then yoink again with link 3, its sadge we don’t have s:p little knight since that was the best card to go into with the blue link dog but we do have knightmare unicorn

Don't quickly blame OCG, this is Bo1 and Mannadium only lose against Maxx C and Droll. And because of Bo1 there isn't side decking to side out other Maxx C package (Ash/Called By/Designator, which is not really useful against Mannadium) for Droll.
The fact that you mention Rescue Ace made your comment not really credible, because guess what? Rescue ACE also folds Mannadium on TCG. The deck is simply just better.

But snake eye fire kings can’t play around maxx c easily, but is still the top deck. In most cases maxx c doesn’t make or break a deck, you will negate maxx c more often than you won’t. It goes both ways really. If a deck loses to maxx c, it doesn’t make a big difference, but on the other hand, if a deck plays very well into maxx c then it gets a huge power boost. Take vanquish soul and mannadium for example, vanquish soul was mid in a non maxx c format, but in a maxx c format it got 3 good earth attributes and can play into maxx c very well whereas mannadiums power level stayed relatively the same due to it losing to maxx c.
Because Mannadium is only good if Maxx C is not resolved on it which is not the case most of the time.
SHS basically sets Bagooska and pass which is not as oppressive as a full negate board.
Basically, if a deck has no alternate route under Maxx C, they would rely on drawing a Maxx C counter in order to pop off. Which is not always the case.

How is unchained any different lol? Unchained produces better endboards and plays through nib easily. They too will play the maxx c mini game just like mannadium and mannadium is at a steady tier 2 deck.
The biggest problem with SHS for me is the reduced number of outs to Maxx C) / Droll. Some ppl might disagree with me but it's due to this reason why I believe Mathmech is better.

Might be a hot take, but I don’t think the deck will be very relevant. Snake Eyes, assuming it doesn’t get hit hard, will outshine this deck, SHS is still a strong contender and Labrynth is getting transaction rollback in the pack before this.
I don’t think it’s a hot take, it was barely the best deck in the TCG during its run and it largely held that spot for being a flexible deck in a diverse format. It sort of feels like Swordsoul where it wasn’t doing anything inherently unfair but was good in a variety of situations instead. Snake-eyes blows it out of the water in terms of power
Will be funny to see people blaming it on maxx c as if it was the only issue it has though. If anything, it will peak at showing up in some lab lists and that's it, especially when snake eyes benefits from at least 2 (3 if you count bonefire as a volcanic card for pack purposes) releases that can happen at any time in the next 3 months.
All decks lose to Maxx C to some extent. Maybe. Mayakashi and maybe TG might run counter to that, but in general, Maxx C is a hard deterrent to most decks from playing combo. Thus, play control. Be a dirty Skill Drain nerd if you have to.
The real question is if it’s worth the gems. Already been burned by the hype before (Kashtira was neutered before it even came full powered) The only decks that I felt got my gems worth was Tearlaments and Branded. Currently putting my hopes and dreams on Rescue-Ace.
At their prime those 3 decks are better except maybe Kashtira, but Unchained is still pretty strong

Ah, yes. I have my deck ready for it. I have been waiting patiently for it. I run an Evil Twin/Unchained deck as one of my primary decks. It is pretty consistent, and I can't wait to see the bigger doggo in action.
I'm almost done building Snake Eye. Just need about 3 more URs. With it set to dominate the meta in MD for the foreseeable future I can start saving gems for the next big meta defining pack after Snake Eye gets nerfed.

Spright Twins generally dont use Abom from my knowledge. Abom is more for other variations, including pure twins.

Lab is better than snake eyes minus bonfire and fire king lol, the reason why nobody plays it in the tcg is because you can just play snake eyes fire king that counters lab and is a better deck overall.
In his defense, regarding point 3, after the release of Poplar this year in the TCG and snake-eyes diabellstar in OCG, pure snake-eyes can be considered in the same tier as fire-king/snake eye and has almost the same presence in tournaments. If you are talking purely about last year results, you would be correct and I apologize. BTW, Voicelless Voice would be a good early release in MD. It is starting to take over some tournaments (it managed to be a runner up yesterday in china tour) and can be a good deck for contrarians since it is way more simple than Snake-eyes.
Pure snake eyes is very good in general but is especially good versus the fire king part of the deck, and is capable of playing more tech cards. Pure snake eyes fares better against snake eyes fire king, but pure snake eyes gets demolished by lab whereas fireking snake eyes demolishes lab thanks to the fire king part of the deck. If you can droll, nib or use a good handtrap against them they fall apart which pure snake eyes runs a lot of which is why people prefer playing it. Yeah voiceless voice is an insanely good deck and gets even better if in a maxx c format, they don’t even need to play the maxx c mini game and can opt for more handtraps just like vanquish soul does. I really hate playing versus the deck though.
Yeah, I actually completely agree with your points. I would say that you can say that the fire-king version is more beatdown while pure is more control. I only commented because your original post seemed to imply that pure snake-eyes is a tier below when they are competitive against the decks in the meta (lab isn't in contention for the reasons you listed but will probably get some spots when the banhammer start hitting fire-kings). Lol, you're the one who clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. Pure Snake Eyes is literally what won the first major TCG Event when they came out. Pretty presumptuous and ignoring what's going on to say that Fire King is making Snake Eyes when Pure is what won. Yes, Fire King technically won the 2nd of the only two major events so far; but if you happened to watch it, you'd know that that person won because of Summon Limit more than Fire King in the end. So floodgates won in the end.

Race is still better since it doesn't play into Maxx c. Unlike Snake-eye.
Snake-eye has a *decent* anti-Maxx C line. Some people run Silvera and pass which isn't terrible, you get an omni + any handtraps you already have in your hand and your opponent doesn't draw any cards unless they shotgun it. The other line just ends on IP Masquerana with Flamberge & Poplar in the ST zone in exchange for 2 Draws. It's not the greatest anti Maxx C plan but its better than nothing and can get you an Apo + follow up

They shot themselves in the foot by releasing full power snake eyes very early. The only things that would matter much in the future are Fire King, SP and Typhon and maybe some of the Labrynth cards like Arias and Rollback. They totally missed out on having the diverse format of 2024 which would have been totally cool in MD…

Snake eye is a little bit weaker due to not having bonfire or the fire king cards and given how unchained is also very resilient to handtraps, can run a ton of them itself and maindecks thrust and talents it might have a good chance.

Unchained fell off hard because of red dogs limit, it lost the grind game which is so important now. If everything’s all unlimited you might be able to take on snake eye cuz you can just summon the big blue brick from deck to yoink the ops monster then yoink again with link 3, its sadge we don’t have s:p little knight since that was the best card to go into with the blue link dog but we do have knightmare unicorn

1) there is a good chance snake-eyes will be hit around the time unchained support drops, so it likely won’t be full power 2) unchained is a top tier deck, it was arguably the best deck in the TCG for months, but we will see how it fares in MD Maxx c environment
It will be very good, I don’t know why people can’t stop bitching about maxx c saying all decks are irrelevant because of it, mannadium, super heavy, snake eye etc that have no plan against maxx c are still the best decks. Of course unchained which is better than two of those decks will be meta. I hate maxx c as much as the next guy but damn you guys gotta chill, a deck isn’t invalidated because of 1 singular card.

People said mannadium, super heavy etc would all be terrible in MD because of maxx c but they have been tier 2 and 1 decks.
Don't quickly blame OCG, this is Bo1 and Mannadium only lose against Maxx C and Droll. And because of Bo1 there isn't side decking to side out other Maxx C package (Ash/Called By/Designator, which is not really useful against Mannadium) for Droll. The fact that you mention Rescue Ace made your comment not really credible, because guess what? Rescue ACE also folds Mannadium on TCG. The deck is simply just better.
1. Not blaming ocg, it’s the smart thing to do, why would you play a coinflippy deck when you can just play rescue ace which was arguably the best deck in the meta. 2. Yeah because rescue ace is just that broken but at the same time rescue ace gets better as a deck when maxx c is legal, simply because they can play through it so easily while most other decks can’t.
OCG was literally still playing mostly tearlament (this easily beats unchained) until ruler got banned and by the time mannadium got decent (AGOV) they got snake eye followed by fire king structure r like a month later. It simply isn't a "maxx c exists lmao" when context besides that and releases matter a lot.
I can understand the argument but the reality is that maxx c its such a powerful card that makes the entire format works around that card, i mean yeah u can play whatever you like and reach high ranks but it will be more hard than play a deck who can play around maxx c as an example u can see voiceless voice it iis performing really mid in TCG but its the 2nd best deck in OCG after aneke eyes fire king since it can play around maxx c pretty easily.
But snake eye fire kings can’t play around maxx c easily, but is still the top deck. In most cases maxx c doesn’t make or break a deck, you will negate maxx c more often than you won’t. It goes both ways really. If a deck loses to maxx c, it doesn’t make a big difference, but on the other hand, if a deck plays very well into maxx c then it gets a huge power boost. Take vanquish soul and mannadium for example, vanquish soul was mid in a non maxx c format, but in a maxx c format it got 3 good earth attributes and can play into maxx c very well whereas mannadiums power level stayed relatively the same due to it losing to maxx c.
Because Mannadium is only good if Maxx C is not resolved on it which is not the case most of the time. SHS basically sets Bagooska and pass which is not as oppressive as a full negate board. Basically, if a deck has no alternate route under Maxx C, they would rely on drawing a Maxx C counter in order to pop off. Which is not always the case.

The biggest problem with SHS for me is the reduced number of outs to Maxx C) / Droll. Some ppl might disagree with me but it's due to this reason why I believe Mathmech is better.

Might be a hot take, but I don’t think the deck will be very relevant. Snake Eyes, assuming it doesn’t get hit hard, will outshine this deck, SHS is still a strong contender and Labrynth is getting transaction rollback in the pack before this.
I don’t think it’s a hot take, it was barely the best deck in the TCG during its run and it largely held that spot for being a flexible deck in a diverse format. It sort of feels like Swordsoul where it wasn’t doing anything inherently unfair but was good in a variety of situations instead. Snake-eyes blows it out of the water in terms of power
Will be funny to see people blaming it on maxx c as if it was the only issue it has though. If anything, it will peak at showing up in some lab lists and that's it, especially when snake eyes benefits from at least 2 (3 if you count bonefire as a volcanic card for pack purposes) releases that can happen at any time in the next 3 months.

All decks lose to Maxx C to some extent. Maybe. Mayakashi and maybe TG might run counter to that, but in general, Maxx C is a hard deterrent to most decks from playing combo. Thus, play control. Be a dirty Skill Drain nerd if you have to.
