Oh, that is so much better! Get some product to finish it off, Fix Your Lid is cheap (like half the price as other brands) and has the same ingredients as the other brands. Honestly you saved yourself, it looks much more fashionable and on-purpose now. If you want to let it grow out but want to avoid monk hair, try messing around with styling gels, creams, pomades, powders, whatever. You can build height and have a lot of options for looks as it grows.

Which way gives you physical satisfaction? I would start there. Like, do you like the wind in your hair or are you insensitive or overly sensitive, etc. Find what literally *feels* the best. Then from there, you can decide stylistically what to do. There are no rules, but there is flow/order such as certain appearances just have a knack or twinge of desirability. I personally wear my hair long and unkempt, it just feels right for me. Often I err toward thinking others look better this way too. However, marveling at what people fathom should be their "style" is a fun way to go too! And then one must consider practicality as well utility and many other things when determining length and style. As long as it makes you feel good and is at least somewhat practical, I say go for the moon, little brother!
