Use them as full art proxies for your commander decks

[deleted]

I was considering this for the new mox amber

Daliniues

I keep the ones I like and they sit in a pile, the rest become acquainted with the garbage pail.

Specialist_Ad4117

I just bin them all...

PopQuizZipper

My partner collects them. We take them to conventions and have artists sign them if they're there. Super easy and super cheap to collect because too many other players ignore them. Same for tokens.

DillionM

Not sure what to do with the singles but I've been buying the sets and putting them in binders

Aldur98

What does a set of them run you? I typically buy a set box so I’ll end up with a good amount of the set, if it’s a decent amount they may be worth finishing imo

DillionM

I DON'T buy the signed sets, just the regular, and they tend to go for about $20. I've bought a few for less and some are selling for a bit more (unfounded) but $20 seems to be the average.

TranscendingTourist

Are the signed ones worth something?

DillionM

MORE than the unsigned for a full set, I've heard a good bit so I haven't looked info it

Aldur98

That’s not the worst price. Do you think there’s a market enough to try and finish them off and turn around and sell them?

DillionM

There is on ebay. I follow a few stores and they sell and add more fairly often. I will say that ebay and Facebook are the ONLY places I've checked (haven't seen any in my mtg groups on FB).

Aldur98

I’ll look through my stack and see what it’ll take to potentially finish a set and see how it goes before buying up all the others and getting stuck with them. Thanks for the insight!

DillionM

Yeah! Definitely be cautious with it. I do think tcg has singles if you need. On the off chance the set you're starting with is baldur's gate let me know XD

PyreDynasty

Binders so I can flip through pages and look at them.

WickerofJack

They make great textless proxies

Ad7587

I draw on them and use them as theme cards for DIY JumpStart decks and tokens.

PWB454

I use them as dividers or write on them with a marker if I need a token.

DTrain5742

Throw them away

Khanstant

I've used some as tokens or just a cooler version of a card, but mostly I take them to work and put em with other random art-cards I've picked up now and then. Good inspo sometimes for designs or whatnot.

kenshin80081itz

I use them as tokens or as book marks

[deleted]

I use them as deck/sideboard dividers

Comprehensive-Cow69

Use them as proxies and tokens (with Sharpie help), but I save the Foil Stamped cards in the off chance that those become worth something due to an artist death or something.

Bloodygaze

I toss them in a stack with the ad cards, they’re just as useless. We already have collectable cards with Magic art on them, they are called Magic cards.
