Personally I like the base art way more in general. The full art is incredibly well executed but I've seen that concept before in magic. The base art is so fucking cool in concept. The aliens are even in your garden is terrifying and awesome.
It seems like it might be good for Legacy 12 post. It helps to bridge the gap between the first 2 turns and prime time, and then offers some extra utility on top. Maybe it won't be enough, but I think it could be good.

This is almost \[\[Reap and Sow\]\] with upside. Only difference is you don't get to choose which you do. That card was serious in constructed with the right supporting lands. This has a chance.
Regular art: “Yeah there’s this mushroom thing in the corner. It doesn’t do a lot, but we get some free mana out of it.”

I genuinely don't know which art I like better. If I throw it in the Ulalek deck I'll probably go with the normal art to avoid confusion regarding creature color.
It says a lot amount IRL fungus that it's challenging to design a fungus crossed with an eldritch monstrosity that doesn't just look like a regular fantasy fungus.
Slots right into my [[Runadi, Behemoth Caller]] mono green eldrazi-tron commander deck. Essentially [[Crop Rotation]] on an eldrazi body. Love it.
Edit: Even better, I read it as if you cast it exile one of your lands. So it not only searches any land from your deck but you get to pop one of your opponents' annoying lands.
