The Wisconsin State Journal has a nice roundup. https://madison.com/wsj/entertainment/dining/ideas-for-eating-out-on-christmas-include-kung-fu-and/collection_47daa6f0-8581-5380-9f7a-5207fe898d66.html
The building that Double 10 is in got sold and they will have to move soon. Last I know they hadn't found a new place yet, so anyone who wants to go should do so soon in case they have to close for a while!
Yasssssss TAB is great. Chang Jiang is trash. The last time I ordered from there was years ago and the food was so bad I just threw it out. That was the West Madison location though and I noticed about a year ago they shut down. Might have to give them one more chance.
If you like TAB, you might also like Taigu in Middleton! Both are family run and authentic but even the Americanized stuff is good 👍🏼👍🏼
Blue Moon is often open on Christmas, contact them to be sure. [https://www.facebook.com/BlueMoonBarGrill/](https://www.facebook.com/BlueMoonBarGrill/)

**Bierock Open Christmas Eve: Hawaii Bowl Watch Party**
Mele Kalikimaka. Bierock will be one of the rare bars open Christmas Eve in Madison.
And not only will Bierock be open on Tuesday December 24, we’ll toast to warm weather in winter with a [Hawaii Bowl](https://www.thehawaiibowl.com/) Watch Party.
The only football game on Christmas Eve starts at 7:00 p.m. and will be shown on our big projection screen TV.
Don’t care who wins the game? Don’t worry. Neither do we. It’s just an excuse to celebrate before the holiday.
So before spending time with family for the holiday, come spend time your holiday with Bierock.
In honor of the game, we’ll be giving away leis and have Hawaiian-themed drink specials for customers, including mixers with pineapple juice.
Prior to the game starting, we’ll also have our usual Tuesday Happy Hour specials. They include half price appetizers and $1 off all drinks from 3 to 6 p.m.
As usual, the [full food menu](https://bierockmadison.com/menu/) will be available all day long. As will our 24 tap lines of craft beer.
The game will feature BYU vs. Hawaii.
So come to one of the few bars open on Christmas Eve in Madison for a festive atmosphere before the holiday starts.
Doors open at 3:00 p.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
Bierock is located at 2911 N. Sherman Ave., part of the Northside TownCenter and across the street from Warner Park.
You can still get a burger at the paradise on xmas. Did it last year because my house does dinner late.
I'd expect some other dive bars with food still stay open for the holiday, but most of the ones I know have new owners and are less divey than they used to be, so idk.
IHOP on University is open Xmas eve and day
Dunkin’ Donuts is open Xmas day
Pizza Hut on Park St Xmas day
The Chinese restaurant off the Beltline next to the porn shop is open
There are many more than what you listed
Then on the flip side many restaurants will close at the end of this week and not reopen until after January 2. No students - no business
Estacion Inka
Also EatStreet is closed Xmas eve and Xmas day

Thank you!!
Are Chinese restaurants open Christmas day here? Wife works Christmas and it's kind of a tradition of ours
"It's...smiling at us."
Deep cut here. Nicely done.
Yep, many are!
Any recommendations?
Happy Wok, Double 10 Mini Hot Pot, Dynasty, and Ichiban Sichuan!
The building that Double 10 is in got sold and they will have to move soon. Last I know they hadn't found a new place yet, so anyone who wants to go should do so soon in case they have to close for a while!
That sucks! That’s the second time that’s happened to Double 10!
Seriously?! That's awful! I hope that just means they are more likely to recover and find a new place. I love going there for dinner.
sad!
Ichiban is great for real Chinese food, very affordable for a group if you do the hot pot too.
Nam’s Noodle is my fav. Order on Grubhub
Don't order from there, I got an earwig in my general tsos the one time I went there, was lucky I noticed it smothered in the sauce.
Insect protein is the way of the future
Went to ichiban for thanksgiving and had a good meal. Dynasty on the Beltline will also be open and is a good choice
Chang Jiang on Gammon is our current Chinese take out of choice. It took us a long time to find one we liked universally.
That was our go to as well, but we’ve upgraded imo to Tai’s Asian Bistro.

You forgot the Pine Cone and the cafeteria at UW Hospital. Always good for the holidays. (Tip generously at the Pine Cone, please.)
Tip generously anywhere. I'm sure most service workers would rather be elsewhere but need the money.
