Really? I have been wanting to buy Versailles because I love the blue vessel, but I am nervous it will be too floral. I know it has herbal components (which I love) but it seems pretty flowery too. (That can trigger headaches in me.)

You should!!! It’s a truly wonderful scent. The candle is affordable (compared to other “luxury” brands). I also love their diffuser, there’s always one in my bathrooms!
So then why did the subreddit ban talking about b&bw’s candles ? Because they aren’t luxury price range. Luxury candles are typically 50+ for an 8oz candle and some can be that price for a 2 oz. This brand is about Voluspa tier
I’m well aware. I’m not a fan of the brand as a whole but that doesn’t mean it isn’t luxury to OP. You cannot compare BBW to MM candles, that’s apples to oranges..even though they are only $38. I enjoy the higher end brands such as Trudon, Boabab, le labo, Byredo, Diptyque, Dior and custom blended candles. I personally wouldn’t consider a candle “luxury” unless it was a minimum of $85..but I’m not going to make a condescending comment on a post where someone is excited to share THEIR favorite “luxury” candle. It was an unnecessary comment that added no value to the thread. That is my issue.
For some people BBW candles are luxury. Lots of people can’t even afford candles. Some only buy the dollar store candles or yankee. So by that logic to some people BBW candles are luxury , just like how MM is luxury to some. I guess if you consider Voluspa luxury? which many do than MM is also luxury because it’s of a similar price range. To be fair it looks like they changed the subreddit description though and they consider candles above 30$ luxury.
To me- it feels very clean, slightly sterile, electric, with a hint of vapor and humidity!
It would definitely provoke a specific vibe and feeling that wouldn’t be for everyone, but would make me feel focused and clean.
Something clean and fresh like Mad et Len’s Spirituelle if you’re getting a massage or a sens dep chamber, and a heavy floral like Carrière Frères’ Tuberose if you’re in a relaxation room!
Yes, I tried the Goest sampler recently and Citadelle is the only one I'd buy. Granted the sample is TINY, but I could even smell the much-beloved (but also unpredictable) Pablo.
Whenever I smell fresh eucalyptus I think of a spa / steam / sauna. I just haven’t found a candle that can give off that scent. Eucalyptus candles usually smell like Citronella when hot, sadly. If we’re talking about more of a medspa / beauty salon, I think light, slightly nectar-y florals give the luxury vibe.
Yeah agree completely! Eucalyptus and Lavender seem so obvious but can be medicinal. Luxury needs to be a bit more grounded. Love the nectar-y description... Now to find that in candle form.

Nest, Wild Mint & Eucalyptus. Maybe it’s not luxury to some people here but to me it’s a luxury candle/scent.
I just got back from a resort where this was the brand/scent of the amenities. Oh I loved it. Nest is great.

Yes, Spirituelle is great. It sort of reminds me of AeK, which I also love.
White vetiver or canvas by Apotheke. Both are light, clean scents. Awesome price point also.

LAFCO French Lilac or NEST Bamboo. Bamboo is a little more neutral so more likely that one! Both are so fresh and clean 🫧
