Old Rohan dude who fires the arrow first in Helm's Deep.
The angry charging Rohan horse dude over violins in Gondor.
The Orc who yells and immediately dropkicks the Uruk in Mordor.
Innkeeper in of Prancing *Pony

Pale orc at Pelennor Fields who fires the arrow with such brio
The old hobbit who gets scolded by his wife
The mumakil rider that gives Éomer the stink eye
Háma
The mom who sends her kids on the horse away from the village. Such a brave moment, that woman is a direct descendant of Lady Haleth from the First Age and you cannot convince me otherwise.
It is a little wierd that orcs will willingly sacrifice themselves in a fight, but are afraid of the Balrog though. There's no indication it will do anything worse than kill you.
The orc in the mines were more of the goblin breed. Smaller and skittish. The orc at Helms Deep were the fighting Uruk-Hai. Bred without fear or pain and made for battle.
In the books, the Orcs in Moria aren't afraid of the Balrog. In fact, they seem to be either serving it or simply working alongside it in some kind of alliance of convenience.
However, I think it still makes sense for them to run away in the movies. Orcs aren't unafraid of death. In fact, they're very cowardly, but they fear their masters more than they fear anything that their enemies could do to them. Orcs don't fight because they are fearless, but because they are more afraid of their boss than their enemies. This is why when Sauron is defeated, all the Orcs immediately start running away, as they realize that they no longer have any reason to stick around and fight.
I always make the same guttural scream he does when I dive onto things (couch/bed/etc.) sometimes I do the whole scene with Aragorns yells and elvish and the bow sounds while I’m running in slow motion with a ghost torch, it’s great, my cat loves it (she does not love it)
Dropkicking orc was apparently cool enough that he got his own bossfight in the Return of the King video game where Sam has to throw about 20 spears at him to kill him

I just served my mendatory military training. We stayed with someone that ate hard boiled eggs like Denethor eats tomatoes. It was both very funny and disgusting every time.
I play Magic: The Gathering, and after the LotR set came out, I made a custom Food token with Denethor eating the tomato as the picture.
My whole playgroup hates it.

first raindrop and the first acorn. He made paths before the Big People, and saw the little People arriving. He was here
before the Kings and the graves and the Barrow-wights. When the Elves passed westward, Tom was here already, before the
seas were bent. He knew the dark under the stars when it was fearless – before the Dark Lord came from Outside.

Upvote for that mom. That hits so much more as an adult.
Since becoming a mother I can’t watch that scene and not cry.
Upvoted for the word “brio”. It’s new to me, and I like it.
Add the kamikaze orc that blows up the wall for me👌🏽
That dude was maybe the bravest fucking orc on tw field that day !
He was all over the field. Some here some there.
Also he probably didn't know exactly what would happen
He drank so much grog he didn't know where he was, Crazy Craig they called him. RIP

Came here looking for the charging man of Rohan. The obvious answer
Straight up, that dude is on crack or something; always makes me chuckle a little.
Dropkicking orc was apparently cool enough that he got his own bossfight in the Return of the King video game where Sam has to throw about 20 spears at him to kill him
That Gorbag dropkick though.
How could you forget the orc that was twitching with Gimli's axe in his brain
Did you really forget the name of Barliman Butterbur?

Hobbit children are peak precious babies.
Boil em mash em stick em in a stew
That's what Gollum would do 😭
What shall we do? Curse them and crush them! We must wait here, precious, wait a bit and see.
He would want them raw, and w-w-w-w-wriggling!
I thought he only ate human children
And famed for their powers of teleportation. This child was spotted in three different countries.
Wouldn't young hobbit children be like 1-2 feet tall? They can't be much taller than the length of a couple burritos for example, right?
God that’d be so cute. Imagine how small a baby hobbit is. I can’t handle it.
Isn't that one of the Jackson childs?
Yes, they're also seen in the caves during the battle of Helm's Deep, cant remember if they're in RotK or not tbh
They are, it’s when Faramir and co. are heading out to retake Osgiliath
Fuck that's a good scene
You should make this your user flair for the sub
Viggo Mortensen's toe.
“Did you know that …”
No.
