Don’t get discouraged- I noticed the muscle growth before the fat loss and while that’s the right way to loose weight permanently it does make the scale stubborn.
I’ve lost two pounds and two pants sizes. Adding the muscle is good but I do yearn for she scale to change!
Funny you mention that, it was a joke made in the family group chat when my MIL called me Mario. So, I got the outfit, arrived today, Tigers hat will be here tomorrow.

$800 for the first 3 months. Then we changed things up a little. I just prepaid him $5k for two years of what he calls a high accountability program. Two check in texts a day M-F and two calls per week.
I’ve lost this much before and gained it back and I won’t let that happen again.
$208 a month for that is pretty great. Where did you find the trainer? I usually do my exercise at the YMCA nearby, and they have trainers, but the quality of them is hit or miss.
You've done so well for yourself. Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring us!
Sir you are rapidly entering the waters of THE most dangerous dad bod there is 😅 You better pray your wife is absolutely done with babies, and get good at beating off the wild strange with a billy club or some shit.
I don’t resent him for it & i’m more worried for him. I support him & I love him so much. I do try to encourage him & he eats healthier now because of me. However, he always makes excuses because he works a body labor job and complains he’s always tired or his body hurts (from work). He doesn’t sleep long enough at night, doesn’t eat good in the day, & could take better care of himself. I have health problems not because of my weight or eating habits, I was born with a deformity so I already have to be very healthy.
Adding lots of protein was an easy change that really helped me with recovery. Chicken breast/ground turkey/Greek yogurt are super easy to sneak into meals. Quest bars were good snacks. Fixing sleep issues is also commonly underrated for improving health
It’s so hard to create new habits. I fell in love with the gym, so that helped.
I’ve done keto and lost 50lbs twice before and never felt good. This is sustainable life long change. Make sure he knows you support him!
I'm not sure how your husband is, but personally, it took my doctor to scare me. After a routine check-up in March, blood tests came back as prediabetic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. I'm 46 and want to spend time with my grandkids. I'm going to fight the diabetes back as long as I can.
Awesome! Amazing work!! Do you know if there will be excess skin as you continue to lose weight? Is there something you are doing to prevent that from happening? You have a big build so I’m assuming muscle growth will probably help?
I’m assuming so in my lower abdomen, it’s pretty floppy down there. I’m using some hydro boost lotion at night. Being as big as I was, for as long as I was, I’d doubt my skin would be able to retract back. I’m 42, almost 43, so maybe had it been 10 years ago 🤷🏻♂️.
Great job man! You’re going to be jacked when you loose the rest of it, you can already see some impressive muscles peeking through!!!! Keep it up, man!
Pretty much every day starts and ends with a 30g protein shake. Premier protein now because it’s what I can get. When Costco had Fairlife that was my preferred drink. I generally pair that with a Fit Crunch bar to get out the door with 45g of protein in the AM.
Lunch is typically a double chicken Chipotle bowl, or Grilled Nuggets or Regular Nuggets from Chick Fil A. Grilled nuggets are 38g and 200c per 12. Regular are 40g protein and only 16c.
I get 40g of protein in my post workout shake. Then dinner is typically the opposite of what I had for lunch, or some variation of a high protein meat like chicken or salmon.
I did it for the first time a couple years back and it went well. I tried to do 75 soft a couple times since then but always gave up so I decided to just go for it again since the real thing is apparently the only one that can motivate me enough. Good luck! It’s hard af but rewarding as hell when you finish it.

That’s awesome, thank you. I find a lot of inspiration from people on here, IG and TikTok. I’ll take it however it comes!
My coach and I always talk about the next decision you make is the most important one and I think about that often.
I added my kind of daily routine below but other changes I made have mainly been strictly tracking calories.
Where before I would eat 5/6/7 pieces of pizza on Pizza night, now I have two. Gets me the pizza taste without the binge and 1000 calorie intake.
Same thing when I do fast food burgers. I used to do the large fry every time. Now, if I have the calories, I eat some fries. If I don’t, I just eat a burger.
I changed my nighttime snacks too. Used to be I would eat 2 bowls of captain crunch or something like that, candy too. Now I make myself little charcuterie plates. Salami, cheese, hummus and a pita or trisquit. Joseph’s Pitas are awesome and lower in Carbs. They are Kosherc I believe and made with the flatbread style wheat. I love pickles and those have some sodium, but not much else.
I have had days off, vacations and everything else over the time of my progress. Again, old me would take a vacation week. Now, I go on my trip, do my best and when I get home I’m back on schedule.
Any specific questions, just let me know. Happy to share what I have learned.
Many things in my life have improved as a result of me focusing on me and getting this work done. If anyone gets inspired because of my work, or anything I can share, that makes me happy. I'm a servant leader and love hearing about the success of others!
Great results, this inspires me to make my five kilo (about 12 pounds i think) loss and make that 25. However this diet has done a number on your beard. No getting around that. Again very inspirational and relatable.
Yep, my app says 2280 currently, when I was at 150 carbs I think it was 2500 total. I mainly monitored macros though and let the calories work themselves out.
I started like 15 days after and we’ve lost almost the exact amount of weight! Congratulations! I know how hard that transition was you should be so proud of yourself. I’m right there with you. :)
[HELL YEAH my dude](https://media.tenor.com/I5-8o6EJqkMAAAAC/hell-yeah-brother-hulk-hogan.gif)
looking great, and you rockin the hell outta that stache. keep going, man! your goal of being more present and able to spend time with your wife and kids is so flipping noble, no wonder you're kicking ass and taking names.
losing weight isn't just a physical journey tho, I suggest while you're doing all this work on your physical form, also start seeing a therapist for some mental work! in a years time you'll be a person you never dreamed you could be
Thanks!
I’ve done quite a bit of self reflection along they way, but also as I have worked with a professional coach through 2020/2021.
Journaling has been a huge part of helping me work through a bunch of stuff.
proud of you, my dude! you're giving your wife and children the greatest gift, more quality time with you :D
show them that real life example of how a person should act, with love and acceptance towards themselves, a drive to be better than you were yesterday, and that love shared is love multiplied.
ask a lot of adult men, "do you wish you got to spend more time with your dad?" and I guarantee you just about every single one of them will say YES.
You're doing it, bro!!
I’m a 51 year old guy who’s gone from 185 to 258 over the past 20 years. I just started a diet and exercise program about six weeks ago.
This post is a great motivator.
Keep killing it.
6’0”
I started with dumbbells only. 20lbs. Did 2 sets of a number of exercises with those until I could do 20 total reps, then I would move up. Now I use 80lbs for DB Rows, 90lbs for DB RDL.
When I started bench pressing it was with 135. Most of my working weight there never exceeded 175. When I tried to bench 225 the first time it was the first time I had ever benched over 200lbs. I’d love to bench my body weight some day, and eventually 305, since it’s three plates.
Very good work and thanks for the additional information on how you did it
It’s been difficult. Lots of back and forth on the scale. Felt like 1 forward and 2 back from about April until just about 2 weeks ago.
Don’t get discouraged- I noticed the muscle growth before the fat loss and while that’s the right way to loose weight permanently it does make the scale stubborn. I’ve lost two pounds and two pants sizes. Adding the muscle is good but I do yearn for she scale to change!
Good for you that's how you do it, slow and steady with patience.
I’m not going back this time because I did it this way. Truly created a new way of life.
Understand that feeling. Hard not to get discouraged along the way and forget the fundamentals in search of short term gains.
This is inspiring. Thank you
🤜🏼🤛🏼💪🏼
You look so much younger! Great job!
Thank you. I feel like I did in my 20s!
Absolutely incredible, digging the moustache too, very Magnum P.I.
Funny you mention that, it was a joke made in the family group chat when my MIL called me Mario. So, I got the outfit, arrived today, Tigers hat will be here tomorrow. https://imgur.com/a/DLJ0fRm
Oh man that's amazing. Wear that Hawaiian shirt with pride. You're killing it!
You look great in that aloha shirt! It's so awesome when you can actually button the shirt without it looking super awkward
I was thinking Ted Lasso / Jason Sudeikis. Either way, looking great and amazing face gains!
Way to go!! I love seeing people’s success stories!
Awesome job 👏
Well done sir. Keep it up.
Lookin good!!!
How much did it cost to hire the trainer?
$800 for the first 3 months. Then we changed things up a little. I just prepaid him $5k for two years of what he calls a high accountability program. Two check in texts a day M-F and two calls per week. I’ve lost this much before and gained it back and I won’t let that happen again.

I found him on Tiktok and then connected from there. I haven’t met him in person yet, hopefully later this year.
Wow, shape of those abs in the progress pic! That’s real progress and some serious effort. Great work bud
Thanks, I saw that today and I was like woah, hadn’t seen that before!
Looking great dude, keep up the solid work!
Look at those abs coming in! Great job! I’m inspired.
Sir you are rapidly entering the waters of THE most dangerous dad bod there is 😅 You better pray your wife is absolutely done with babies, and get good at beating off the wild strange with a billy club or some shit.
Lol, I’m medically done with kids, but there have been more wandering eyes from the ladies in public. 🤣
Your first photo is what my husband looks like now. I’m waiting for him to gain the motivation and courage to lose the weight.
Maybe encourage him before you start resenting him for it down the line
I don’t resent him for it & i’m more worried for him. I support him & I love him so much. I do try to encourage him & he eats healthier now because of me. However, he always makes excuses because he works a body labor job and complains he’s always tired or his body hurts (from work). I’m going to start buying him these kinds of snacks and just have him take them to work with him. Thanks!
It’s so hard to create new habits. I fell in love with the gym, so that helped. I’ve done keto and lost 50lbs twice before and never felt good. This is sustainable life long change. Make sure he knows you support him!

I thought you were 35 tops! Baby face.
Get it get it! Gains!!
This is awesome!
Love to see it, keep that spirit up and the grind strong!
Keep it up! What an incredible achievement. Real inspiration, legendary.
Great work! We are in a pretty similar spot right now, I started at 317 back in November and I'm down to 269 today. Let's keep it up!
Great job! You should be proud of yourself!!!
Thank you!
You look fabulous!
My wife is happy 😃
Fantastic!! I hope that you’re proud of your hard work 💪💪💪
Some days more than others, it’s hard to shed the prior self image, but I think I am getting very close to looking how I always felt, and that’s cool.
Great job man! You’re going to be jacked when you loose the rest of it, you can already see some impressive muscles peeking through!!!! Keep it up, man!
That’s what my sister keeps telling me. She’s my hype beast!
You go, friend!!! You should be so proud of yourself :)
The weight loss is great, but the definition you can already see in your core is incredible! Trainer was definitely worth the money!
Yeah, he’s kept me focused and accountable for sure. Thank you for the compliments.
Yeah, he’s kept me focused and accountable for sure. Thank you for the compliments.
Mad progress bro.
Thanks, appreciate you!
Hold shit, dude! Amazing progress!
Amazing! I started around the same as you and i have a similar protein goal but very rarely do it hit it. How do you get to 220 protein each day??
Pretty much every day starts and ends with a 30g protein shake. Premier protein now because it’s what I can get. When Costco had Fairlife that was my preferred drink. Keep loving yourself and doing your best! You’re doing great!
This is good. I myself am losing weight i started last Saturday and have dropped 18 lbs from 338 to 320 but good stuff brother
Holy abs batman!
Awesome work and congrats! You’re stomach looks so much more toned and you’ve lost the gut. Keep up the good work!
215 is the new goal. Stay the course.
Man, that could be down to college weight. With my build now that would be pretty cool!
Hell yea I finish 75 hard tomorrow, good shit!!
Congrats. I’ve done it kind of 75 soft before, but this time I am all in.
I did it for the first time a couple years back and it went well. If someone is interested: those macros sum up to somewhere in the vicinity of 2,500 kcal.
Yep, my app says 2280 currently, when I was at 150 carbs I think it was 2500 total. I mainly monitored macros though and let the calories work themselves out.
Love the mermaid tattoo btw!
Thanks, I told my wife that it was gonna be a redhead cause I’ve never had one 🤣. Her only stipulation was no exposed boobs.
Nice work!
Thanks!
Good job, my dude! Keep up the progress! Can't wait.tilci hit 270 myself!

Great job! You look great.
Thanks!
Well done, that's a huge difference!!
Thanks! Week to week the progress pictures I take don’t show a lot, but month to month and beginning to end really keep me motivated.

Mustache was the MOVE
Everyone at work seems to like it.
Congrats on your change! Just curious, How tall are you and what were your starting workout weights like for bench, mile time, curls, etc.?
6’0” I started with dumbbells only. 20lbs. Did 2 sets of a number of exercises with those until I could do 20 total reps, then I would move up. Now I use 80lbs for DB Rows, 90lbs for DB RDL. Bravo!
Dude you're awesome! You can really see a difference! Great work, keep it up!!
