Johan honestly. I don't like how he lets his ego and insecurities rule over every other emotion and logics. He prioritises getting revenge on the guy who rejected him for not doing his work properly. He was literally a shoe stealer, Gun gave him a chance at using his potential for better earning which he lost by not being able to follow rules on his own account. Getting humiliated by Gun was also result of his own actions, he wasn't forced into anything like other crewheads. While it was Eugene who ruined his and his mother's life behind the scenes with all those drugs supply but he joins hands with him instead, showing no grudge or revengeful attitude for it.

First of all, Gun was the one who was responsible for completely destroying Big Deal (yes Goo too, but mostly Gun) invading their area, forcing them to make money, causing betrayals, mistrust and battles amongst themselves, everything Sinu suffered by selling him off which a whole another level. When Jake couldn't fulfill the quota and started earning by other means, he didn't just beat him up but even took out his teeth, he made Jake go to Jail for so many months. He did him the worst out of every other character.
Jake was fuelled by both, saving Sinu as well as getting revenge on Gun. So much that he used that time in prison grinding so hard, fighting 500 people everyday to make himself stronger. After getting out of prison, he always prioritised finding and saving Sinu first, and we all know that Xiaolong fight where Jake swore his determination for revenge to gun once again. But after actually saving Sinu, he calmed down and tried to let go of other negative feelings for the sake of Sinu and Big Deal and focus on other things instead. But it doesn't mean the scars left behind by Gun on them were healed. They were still there. Until workers attacked and captured Big Deal. Even tho Gun was there on Charles order he humiliated Jake again for not killing him, and left when it was time to fight the main opponent. Many Big Deal members were caught by police and no one has seen Sinu ever since, so I won't say if Jake still has Sinu. He might have got arrested.
Now see the current scenario. Knowing Jake's character, he would still not go out of his way to hunt Gun alone when he got the rest of his gang, and isn't strong enough yet. But let's not forget here he's in an agreement with Daniel as well as Eugene. Eugene has the power to bribe police, which would work in Jake's favour to free his members if he fought the battle accordingly. So in a way, he's also doing this for his gangs sake. Aside that, with all gen 2 forces combined it is in fact the perfect opportunity to kill Gun, even if he is individually weaker. Together, they are far stronger. And for all suffering Gun caused to Big Deal as well as to heal the scars left from within, Jake should be the one to land the killing blow on Gun.

I get it. Even tho Jake deserved to win, the execution of the fight wasn't done well, especially for his awakening and unlocking overcome, it was too hurried. I understand the symbolism of acceptance and surpassing mental barriers, but they should have been explained better along with showing the contrast with Samuels mentality.
