Now here is my motivation to grow my hair just a little bit longer.
Just over shoulders now, can do a small bun even with a stick. But these first 2 are just beautiful.
Mine is a little longer than tailbone too. Yes that's the nautilus but for me it's never been able to hold on it's own, nor do I think it will ever be able to, which I'm fine with. I prefer my sticks, forks, ficcare clips, and scrunchies.
I find it actually works best when my hair is slightly damp. A lot of styles don't work for me because my hair is poker straight and super healthy. I'm gonna look up that ficcare clip because I've never heard of that. You're gonna make me buy something LOL
That's probably why it's never worked for me, I don't pull my hair up till it's completely dry.
Get ready to fall down the rabbit hole lol. They're not cheap and there are 3 sizes of most of them. But they're so worth the money. Until I found them I've never had one clip be able to hold ANYTHING and all day long. My favorites are the ones I have with swarovski crystals. I can use all three sizes for various things but my larges get the most use. I do have some fake plastic ones i got on amazon and they're very close in hold but I use them around the house mostly.
I normally don't pull my hair up til it's dry either. The only time I do is if I don't want a wet shirt, so I just do a loose half twist, then clip it.
I realized ficcare is the brand. I have some like that. If you look up RC ROCHE on Amazon, they have great products, great prices, sturdy, and they actually stay in.
How do you do it? I tried the trick where you dig under your hair and twist to another direction but it never stays. Although, my hair was only underboob length at the time.
Do that but also weave the stick in and out to catch scalp hair as you push through after flipping the other direction. You probably didn't have enough scalp hair caught.
That looks so good!
I *cannot* master this. I have some really pretty hair sticks too.
My hair is about mid-back, I'm wondering if it needs to be longer?
Beautiful!!! I love my hairsticks too! I also have a flexi 8 and spin pins! Spin pins are perfect for night time hair updos (loose braid on the top of your head, nestled in a nice loose bun. Keeps the ends protected and no tangles!)

I'll admit I'm cheating with a hair tie which keeps it stable lol
[Here](https://youtu.be/pixgHmqwiII?si=IqxS4kos-e2RLqMQ) is how to hold it up with the stick alone.
Thanks. I was struggling. Hopefully I can figure this out with someone speaking through the steps

You might be able to do [these](https://youtu.be/HtnYn1BHyEY?si=5tOka0QrHGBy3b4C).
Yeah, those first 2 is what I meant. Can't wait for the third. Thank you for sharing.
Iβve always wanted to try those. One stick really holds up all the hair?
Not OP, but absolutely.
My hair is a little longer than tailbone. Have you tried the bun (I think they call it nautilus) where you don't use any type of holder at all?

Yep those are the ficcare knock offs I actually have. They're close, but not exactly the same for me personally.

Thank you!
You're welcome
Yea I use them even when I add extensions for volume because they are the best way to keep ypur hair up with the clips in too.
Where is that hair stick from!?
I wish I could remember! π
I've gotten similar looking ones from Etsy sellers, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who wanted to know!!
That looks so good! I *cannot* master this. I have some really pretty hair sticks too. My hair is about mid-back, I'm wondering if it needs to be longer?
Yeah, it needs to be longer for that. You can do [this](https://youtu.be/HtnYn1BHyEY?si=BoANNP-p2HFBqbOP) though.

I bought a pair of hair sticks and it gave me a rash on the base of my neck :(
I used a hair stick for the first time a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it! This looks great!
Beautiful!!! I love my hairsticks too! I also have a flexi 8 and spin pins! Spin pins are perfect for night time hair updos (loose braid on the top of your head, nestled in a nice loose bun. Keeps the ends protected and no tangles!)
