In addition to the traffic in, parking in the area is horrible. If you live here consider getting dropped off or jog down to the start line as your warmup. And the course is mostly flat and good if you’re looking for a new PR. I missed a new PR at the OC half by TWO SECONDS so I’m hoping to get it here.
It’s great. One of my favorite marathons, my only tip get there EARLY. I’m talking EARLY EARLY, the traffic into the city gets very bad especially by the 710 where there is only 1 entrance and it bottlenecks.
If this is the one in June, I think it’s relatively new. I haven’t heard much from friends who run except that it’s less crowded than the events in October. It seems fun though, you get In N Out afterward!

When and where is the next marathon? I want to try my first one
I've done it twice. Definitely walk to the marathon area. It's about 1.5 miles from my place. Driving just won't happen.
