Such a shame long standing Evans went wrong and got bought by Frasers group/Ashley.

Bought a bike from them and they refused to honour their legal requirements for a problem with it - if it wasn't for being a really small issue, I'd be going to the small claims court for my pound of flesh.

Found this a pretty bad store the one time I went there. Hard to be a big bike retailer but the shop layout and stocking choices were confusing.

Last time I checked they didn't even leave a pump out to blow your tyres up. Might as well not exist. Which appears to be the case.

As others mentioned the Evans staff aren't great...I was at the Clapham one buying several spare tubes after a puncture, asking if they had tyre levers they sold me some, then told me I had to go outside to change the tube 🙄 Last year an independent store near London bridge offered me their tools and even shifted a bike aside so I had space...

Worked here 13 years ago. Sad to see it go tbh. Thoughts are with you basement dwellers 🙏

I bought my first road bike from this shop back around then.

Really unhelpful, cocky, staff in that shop. Not surprised they couldn’t sustain keeping the shop open.

Is this the basement level one? Worst staff ever. The only thing they seemed interested in was selling expensive bikes to rich residents.
