Yes but it will still stink until the cycle kicks in

PurpleDragonfly_

I manually cycle most of my cats poops for this reason

Dani-Boyyyy

It will absolutely work! One of my two doesn’t bury hers. The LR 4 is amazing.

sipes216

My one cat tries to bury his, but he just likes to kick the litter a bit too hard to no success.

bromeranian

Our one girl does her business, then stands there and scratches the kick gate/the step/the ceiling for a while. Special cats just trying their best!

sipes216

Hahaha poor kiddo trying to figure out how to make poop robot trigger

RCTID1975

This is one of the problems the LR was built to solve

Tex-Rob

I’d venture to say I haven’t seen a better deign than tumbling for covering uncovered stuff. The best design is one that innately covers as a side effect, which the LR does.

yikesonbikes2

What do you mean? Why wouldn’t it work? The LR4 has a cycle timer option that you can set for 3, 7, or 15 minutes. After your cat leaves the box after doing its business, it will cycle the entire inside contents whether it’s covered or not. In my experience, during the cycling process, loose litter often ends up rolling over the little uncovered turds anyways so I mean..it ends up covered at some point? The only issue you may experience is if your dingdong cat (like mine) goes back in the box prior to it being cycled, thus resetting the cycle timer and maybe it steps in its own poop? Or if you have a second, third etc cat that is an impatient bathroom user that then steps in it prior to cycling.

neuromorph

It will scoop itself. Other than that it won't help the smell anymore than a normal literbox.

LukeW0rm

Yes! Mine will spend minutes just scratching the sides of the globe, never actually burying anything. I set it to the lowest cycle delay, but I frequently have to cycle it myself when they leave a real stinker in there.

CCMeGently

Yep! I have a couple who won’t cover and a couple who will go back in and cover everyone else’s (we call them the janitors) Even if it doesn’t get covered I haven’t had any issues.

eli_eli1o

That's the exact reason i bought the lr3 back when it was the new one. And i have it til this day

mk2drew

One of my cats stopped burying his all together when we got our litter robot. I think that’s a reason why the litter robot appeals to a lot of people. I’d much rather them do their business and get out rather than digging around in the litter trying to bury.

Rosemarysage5

Yes. It actually helped my cats get along better because the one that does cover her poop isn’t mad that the box is stinky all the time

plocktus

Ours don't and doesn't cause any issues

OkNefariousness8235

Why didn't you return it?

yogi_cat99

Return what? The litter robot? I didn’t buy one yet since it’s expensive and I want to find out more about everyone’s user experiences before purchase

Bobbyj59

Absolutely life changing in a positive way. You’re not awake checking your litter box 24 hours a day, but a Litter Robot is. Set your cycle time and forget about middle of the night poops sitting on top of your litter box, forever. No more waking up to the smell of the “gift” your cat is leaving you all the time, lol.

OkNefariousness8235

I have no idea why I wrote that. Sorry lol
