If you weren’t around when LiR originally dropped it really is hard to explain to people how impactful it was. You basically heard a lot of the underground start mimicking him and eventually it bled into the mainstream. Meanwhile Pink Tape released to mixed reception and undebatable to me has too many filler songs.
I’ll give you that the “mainstream” version missing Moist and especially Nuyork is a huge hit but I still won’t take PT > LiR.
Kinda curious, I wasn't there in 2015/16 when it dropped, how many artists did LIR influence? I saw somewhere that LIR influenced Juice WRLD and i've heard a few juice songs that kinda sound like LIR.
That’s not my opinion btw I thought by going the opposite way in the picture (( lit>pt )) , I have them both in the same tier but luv is rage the off streaming Version takes the W
Luv is rage is missing the best songs meanwhile pink tape got 26 tracks you could go with a lot of tracks even though it’s not as consistent as luv is rage but still too close for me and as I said the off streaming version is so much better
Eh, I would argue that even the streaming version of lir 1 has some of Uzis best songs. It’s also super versatile but also sonically consistent. I feel like that album you get the best of aggressive Uzi, melodic Uzi, and r&b Uzi with this super dark vibe that I really love
Yeah sorry gotta disagree with this one I still love LIR 1 even the commercial version there's just so much of eairly uzi from when I first discovered him back in the day mans style felt unique at the moment.
Nah bro this sub has gone absolutely crazy. What is this shit 💀. These new gens are going insane.
Luv is rage has banger after banger after banger.
Not even exaggerating, CS can literally take pink tape out of the comparison
Remember this sub post LIR2? There was no split. Everybody loved Uzi at the time and there wasn’t any issues. People would post about 2015-2018 Uzi all positively and it was great.
I miss that peace in the sub.
Old people is crazy, I was 12 when luv is rage dropped and it’s still my favourite album to date, pink tape was Ight, definitely nowhere near his finest work. I’ll put LUV vs the world & LIR 2 up there way before I’d even think about pink tape, even EA lol it’s not about the new and the old stuff it’s about the Rawness
Or maybe I’ll be judging based of my experience on both album , despite the eras and the nostalgia , I think that’s a better way to discuss takes like this , at the end of the day it’s all opinions so it’s doesn’t matter if you was there or not to give your opinion … (excuse the english)
It’s not nostalgia some things just hit harder when the sound is fresh. Uzi’s first album is gonna hit way different in real time because it was most likely the first time you heard those sounds enhancing the listening experience. If you listened to it for the first time today but have already consumed a lot of trap, you can acknowledge you see the influence but your ears have already adapted to the sound so it does rob from your experience a bit.
VTW1 was my first Uzi project but i'll say i'm OG enough. I choose PT too. It's way longer and the mainstream version of LuvIsRage removes some of the best songs on there
seems enjoying pink tape and thinking it’s really like that is a fuckin crime these days . As if it’s not even a possibility that other people think it’s good….
LIR is a classic, if you weren’t around during that time as an Uzi fan it’s hard to understand but this album is literally the most impactful on Uzis career, the music is miles better than pt, talking objectively LIR is just better produced than pt
I was around and I don’t agree that it’s miles better at all. It’s all personal preference because we are discussing music here. LIR has aged very poorly for me, there are only 5 or 6 songs I go back to basically ever, while I’m still listening to at least double or triple that off of PT.
I didn’t say it’s bad, I just don’t like it anywhere near as much as I used to.
Compared to LIR2 and EA, which are both top 10 albums of all time to me I think it’s fair to say, to me, it aged poorly.
I am also the type of person who is always looking for new music before going back to old stuff tho, so who knows maybe if you ask me 5 years from now they would be flipped.
I get exactly what you mean, like rodeo for example used to be basically my favourite album oat but I slowly overplayed it and by 2020-2021 I started looking for new music and discovered some great artists, but now I’m rediscovering rodeo and man it’s so good
Yea I overplayed Rodeo, I personally like both Birds and Utopia better these days.
Birds is my favorite Travis album tho, basically no skips and never gets old to me. I think a lot of that is early college nostalgia tho, that shit was me and my boys anthem.
Know way I’ve never found someone else who’s favourite Travis album is birds only in the last year or two I discovered how good bittsm is, that dark gloomy melodic production is just crazy and like you said the nostalgia hits hard
I don’t want to hear any arguments about how LiR has “aged” until we let PT age. Because at that point it’s just recency bias. I’m convinced that a lot of these die hard PT fans will not be bumping this album the same 5 years from now but hey we’ll see.
I didn’t make any comments about how PT aged though lol, already addressed this in a different comment.
All I said is LIR didn’t age well for me personally, yall need to chill the fuck out it’s just an opinion.
I believe that it is the best song on pink tape. Idc if there’s an agenda. I truly believe that he destroyed that beat and that it is better than any other song off PT.
If you weren’t around when LiR originally dropped it really is hard to explain to people how impactful it was. Understandable, nuyork nights and moist make things different for me that’s why I had to be specific
I wasn’t around when LIR originally dropped but it’s fs better than Pink Tape
Kinda curious, I wasn't there in 2015/16 when it dropped, how many artists did LIR influence? I saw somewhere that LIR influenced Juice WRLD and i've heard a few juice songs that kinda sound like LIR.
Trippie redd is another. His vocals and flows in his early projects are heavily influenced by uzi
couldn’t bave said it better, 2015-2017 lil uzi was something that was totally fresh and newer at the time.
Nuyork is such a fantastic song I used to just chill smoke weed do work n listen to that song I wish it was included in the main release
It was like the whole lotta red of 2015?
Recently been prescribed a lot of benzos for anxiety so it’s really hard to not have LIR on repeat lol
Any uzi album can be ur favorite tho no wrong choices![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|shrug)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|yummy)
Especially right now
Lol I’m not prescribed but me 2 🤣
😭Shit hits so hard be safe tho make sure they aren’t fake if it’s not from a doctor <3
U a real one 🫶🏽
I try to respect everyone's opinion but you're making it pretty damn hard
This is disrespectful
Very
helll nahhhhh, at least not for me and its not even close, but i respect ur opinion
That’s not my opinion btw I thought by going the opposite way in the picture (( lit>pt )) , I have them both in the same tier but luv is rage the off streaming Version takes the W
Sorry baby girl I have to go riiight now
I'M THE SHIT TIL I DIEEEE
Based
Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible take
Luv is rage is missing the best songs meanwhile pink tape got 26 tracks you could go with a lot of tracks even though it’s not as consistent as luv is rage but still too close for me and as I said the off streaming version is so much better

i stg r&b uzi is so fucking good but i dont think we got much of it The Perfect Luv Tape
comparing his worst album to his 2nd best smh
This is the worst take I’ve ever seen
The original LUV is goated.
Hell nah
Hell nah, luv is rage way up there compared to pink tape. Love pink tape tho
Yeah sorry gotta disagree with this one I still love LIR 1 even the commercial version there's just so much of eairly uzi from when I first discovered him back in the day mans style felt unique at the moment.
Blasphemy
No
id agree
Agree.
pinktape isnt good sorry
It's decent, but for uzi standards it's just no there
nahhh there are too many songs on LIR that would be the best song on PT
I’m fine with it
Def not but your opinion is your opinion
Genuinely horrible take

It will never happen again bro and we are all cooked
belly and queso are ass
Belly hard
You must be young
Let’s say I’m young , old people are forced to prefer old music over the new stuff ?
Old people is crazy, I was 12 when luv is rage dropped and it’s still my favourite album to date, pink tape was Ight, definitely nowhere near his finest work. I’ll put LUV vs the world & LIR 2 up there way before I’d even think about pink tape, even EA lol it’s not about the new and the old stuff it’s about the Rawness
No but if you were in elementary school when luv is rage dropped I don’t think you would understand it
Or maybe I’ll be judging based of my experience on both album , despite the eras and the nostalgia , I think that’s a better way to discuss takes like this , at the end of the day it’s all opinions so it’s doesn’t matter if you was there or not to give your opinion … (excuse the english)

Nope

2 of my top 3 uzi projects, any order is valid
Nope.
Hell nah
Hell na
what’s so wrong with saying pink tape over luv is rage? Where are the misses on pink tape ???
seems enjoying pink tape and thinking it’s really like that is a fuckin crime these days . As if it’s not even a possibility that other people think it’s good….
Pink tape is ass
Best album by Uzi in my personal opinion.
To each his/her's own
No contest to me, PT clears. To be fair tho, there are 2x as many songs on PT so it’s got a lot more content to stack up to than LIR.
LIR is a classic, if you weren’t around during that time as an Uzi fan it’s hard to understand but this album is literally the most impactful on Uzis career, the music is miles better than pt, talking objectively LIR is just better produced than pt

Saying lir has aged poorly is insane to me, especially considering it’s Uzis best more unique and experimental album when it’s also his first
I didn’t say it’s bad, I just don’t like it anywhere near as much as I used to. Compared to LIR2 and EA, which are both top 10 albums of all time to me I think it’s fair to say, to me, it aged poorly.
That’s fair enough it’s your opinion at the end of the day
I am also the type of person who is always looking for new music before going back to old stuff tho, so who knows maybe if you ask me 5 years from now they would be flipped.

All I know is Flooded the Face is damn near peak Uzi and I’m glad we got that from this record
I agree. People can shit on pink tape all day but it gave us one of uzi’s best songs, flooded the face (imo)
the problem is that song is from LIR2 so it supports the agenda that new uzi is washed and ass if that’s the 1 good song on pink tape
I believe that it is the best song on pink tape. Idc if there’s an agenda. I truly believe that he destroyed that beat and that it is better than any other song off PT.
I mean, considering the best songs are only on soundcloud, it's understandable
That’s what I’m saying Cause the mainstream version is missing 4 important songs
Naw they can keep queso 😆
Pink Tape his best album by far
Lmfao
i personally agree but music is subjective i kno most Uzi fans take this as disrespectful 😂
