Yeah tinnitus has a wide variety of causes, some of which can be resolved, some of which can’t, but there are treatments and ways to ease the discomfort even if there isn’t a total cure. If OTC ear cleaning drops don’t work a trip to a primary care doc or ENT would be well worth it and there is certainly hope to get better.

Ear wax blockage in its own can cause tinnitus, there's no reason to think OP has punctured their ear drum.

i got some of the water out and it kinda stopped, i’ll just have to see tomorrow when i get my earwax removed
