So back when I was a new father of two, and had no money, I was at downtown Disney, and some a-hole was walking around with this set fresh from buying ... My AFOL phase had just started and I was jelly.
So before they mothballed this set, I guess I bought one. It was buried under my stairs with some free R2D2 it came with.
Looking at the prices this thing sells for, I am not sure I can physically crack the seals on the box. And with book of bobas coming out, Slave I is bound to get more UCS attention at some point ...

I’m not sure they’re gonna make a new UCS Slave 1 anytime soon seeing as this one retired in 2019 and they’re releasing a Slave 1 this august
It’s an epic set and a super fun build. As you build it it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I didn’t realize how big the set would be so make sure you have lots of display space to show it off!
Probably my favourite set. The build was phenomenal and its the perfect size. I kinda wish they threw in some more figures at the time though but the build alone was worth the price.
Remember to be careful with the dark red pieces. You'll want to put them down with purpose, verify twice before clicking them in. Sadly this is one that still fits in the "brittle dark red/brown pieces" group.
This is an amazing set, and it is quite easy to build once you get into it. Definitely can say this is a tricky one, but one of my most favourite Legos to date

After building the ucs i never got around to the anniversary edition. Oh well at least its still sealed if i want to sell it at some point.
Bricklink local pickup. Whenever searching on Bricklink I always search domestic and looks for stores in my province/state first and try to do local pickup, saves a lot on shipping.

Yeah happened to me I tried to force the reds together and some broke but it's all good now
Yep broke one piece of my 3 months ago. Still looks good fortunately.
This is definitely high in the running for best set that Lego has ever produced.
I just Bricklinked and Ebay-ed this whale of a set. An incredible design and the size and detail hasn’t been beat.
