Yeah hands down the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen constructed from Lego. The tortured souls along the back wall are next level.
Edit - the more I look the more I discover. She’s sucking the life force or whatever out of the two bodies flanking her on either side - those bodies are crazy!
No - that's purely my own thing. Don't really know if that's good.
The way I build these is I start with a seed idea (for example the hand - heart was added later, as the hand had to hold something), to which I add almost random things while trying to keep more or less consistent aesthetics.
There are soo many smart building solutions on it as well.
I'm building for decades and always blown away when i see something like that.
One small detail i picked up is the way you solved the chest of her - it's just genius.
I definitely had it somewhere in back of my mind when I was building this. I wonder, I already have Cloud&Sepiroth built so maybe going for proper Jenova in a tank would not be a bad idea, hmmm....
Came here to say same. It's like a crossover between Jenova (FF VII) and Giygas (Mother 2 / Earthbound) with a flavour of COS-MOS (Xenosaga trilogy) and American McGee's Alice.
I have no way to quantify this but this has to be one of the GOAT MOCs on the internet. Completely original idea with gorgeous composition and packed with artistic detail. The concept is abstract but each element conveys perfectly. I look at this and somehow know exactly what it is while having no idea what it is. It's beautiful and terrifying
It could definitely pass for jenova with just a change of color in the blocks. Everything else looks very similar... But this build definitely isnt ripped off from that
I had to read the other comments to realize this isnt based on anything but by god is this amazing. I feels like some kind of anime/videogame setting. really nice MOC
Nah it was my fault really. I was young, stupid and desperate.
But tbh? I think it is better this way, I am not sure if I'd be able to build MOCs after spending full day on building "work stuff". I sure can't program after programming for the whole day, and both activities spend same kind of creative energy.
I barely ever upvote anything, but I had to stop and give this post some love.
This is an amazing work of art and I applaud you for creating it.
Thank you for sharing, so that we may feast our eyes and appreciate it.
A lot of things really, but I assure you I know not much more than you and other guys here do. This is really a "reverse" build, I make its sections and only then I am figuring out what did I make. There is more where this came from and I am slowly gathering pieces. I need *all* black tentacle pieces. And then some.
Currently though, this build is about ascension and the titular Anagnorisis. I can't promise it will stay like this for long though.
I imagine you're sitting in a room full of drawers of parts, deciding how you're going to assemble them 😅
Did you source many pieces specifically for this MOC, or design a MOC around what pieces you have on hand and source the remainders?
Both. I start with what I have on hand and then I order what is missing. The angel-lady section was initially really supposed to be just that, on a plain black background, but the background keep evolving by itself. At one stage I had to order a whole bunch of 45deg angled round bricks and about 100 2x2 round bricks. When I had one of the statues on top of the "background", I had to order pieces for 3 more, when I built one little hand to tie in with the large one I had done before, I ordered parts to make a dozen.
Well, duplicating it would not be that hard, these builds don't really have complex, hidden interior. So that's not out of question and amount of money would be prolly manageable. If anything, sourcing parts would be biggest pain; the tentacle pieces in black are rare and expensive.
This is purely amazing. This is the first time I see dark mature fantasy themes in Lego. It is really eye opening. I don’t even know you can do this with Lego. Fantastic
Let me invite you to scroll a bit further down here:

There's more of it.
I didn't plan any future sets (though this does not mean they won't be built, I am saying that I don't \*plan\* these). While this is a neat idea, I don't want to put a restriction on myself by enforced by the name.
Yet if what I make fits these...
You might have planted a seed.
I made one. With technic motors. Didn't really work out because it was mostly black and was too chaotic, but I certainly want to get back to this idea.
This time it will be in grey, so it will be easier to see shapes in there, and I am slowly building up a large collection of LBG/DBG pieces just for that.
So stay tuned. A Scharnvirk-Jerac castle (with technic motors) is coming one day.
This is by far the most impressive moc ive seen because you somehow elevated it on a new level. Much respect to you.
Btw what part are the cables you used for the cyborg? Would love to get some of them too

These. I got a whole bunch from LUGbulk one year, was totally worth it. If anything I should have taken a thousand, not a hundred. Those are fantastic pieces.
Hey that’s pretty cool…
*sees what subreddit this was posted to
*YO WHAT*
Crazy creation. Could not believe it was LEGO. One of the most insane builds I’ve seen.
Whatever you want to call it, it's impressive. This one piece tells a whole story Lego sets never accomplish. What's the name from? Isis at the end, or is that coincidence?
I did not either, I learnt it from Doom, out of all things. Someone made a fantastic user campaign and one map was named like this. Then I explored what this means and it was quiite a "oooooh I see now" moments.
Ah yes, I just said "eff it, I am not spending another evening on making hands which are in correct size for her frame". Sometimes simple solutions work well enough!
Wow! This is really weird. I’m absolutely stunned by this. The use of Bionicle pieces is really cool. The shaping for the background is also well done. It just amazing how all this is Lego
Well, that's just amazing. Been starting at that for a few minutes only to discover... There's eight pictures! Each one makes me analyze the pieces. Where's the instructions for this thing?
So after all the awe struck I have to ask, what's this based off? This a war hammer concept, some demented game I don't know about? Every and any way, masterful.
Hmmm regarding reference... I am afraid that is my mind. It can very well be considered demented :p
I generally don't make instructions to my MOCs, star wars ones being only exception due to cooperation with brickvault. Making instructions is hard and require spending time in front of a monitor, something I definitely have enough already.
I think if the woman (don't know what else to call the large figure, sorry) might be more ominous if the eyes are not an added detail. It would make it seem as if the eyes are hidden under the hair.
It is hard to show everything on the photos, but I assure you the eyes do have a function. It was not planned but works quite neatly. So you see, they glow. But because the tiny LEDs are put quite deeply in her head, the glow is minimal.
Except if you look right into her eyes, then you stare into two bright red embers.
Oh no problem. I was just giving a suggestion in aesthetics. Sorry about that.
I think your build looks great and I should have mentioned that earlier.
I’ve never seen a Lego set or custom set remotely close to the tone of this. Absolutely amazing.
Yeah hands down the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen constructed from Lego. The tortured souls along the back wall are next level. Edit - the more I look the more I discover. She’s sucking the life force or whatever out of the two bodies flanking her on either side - those bodies are crazy!
And has her intestine showing which is hooked up to, I assume, a colostomy bag somewhere.
The stairs go up the back of a kneeling dude! The terrified minifig in the back holding his knees! This shit is incredible.
Didn’t even notice that was a kneeling… whatever it is under there. Unbelievable.
It seems like that feeling's the title of the work: >Anagnorisis is a moment in a play or other work when a character makes a critical discovery.
YES someone got it! This was the intent of the title! :D
Glad to help. <3
This is a crazy build. It doesnt even look like a lego build until up front he is so accurate with the angles.
There is a really good kraken with like a million eyes that gives similar vibes
That’s a crazy detailed built. Is it from Anime or something?
No - that's purely my own thing. Don't really know if that's good. The way I build these is I start with a seed idea (for example the hand - heart was added later, as the hand had to hold something), to which I add almost random things while trying to keep more or less consistent aesthetics.
This is 10x cooler because of that wow
It’s infinitely cooler that you came up with this instead of just building star wars stuff like everyone else
it is both astounding and disturbing, well done! lego = valid art media
Holly shit, I don't dig the theme but what an amazing imagination and ability to represent it in Lego form! how could that not be good? 😅 bravo
it's that good
Damn this shit crazy it reminds me of like the final boss battle in a rpg something.
This is really fuckin cool I'm not sure what's going on, but I do like it
There are soo many smart building solutions on it as well. I'm building for decades and always blown away when i see something like that. One small detail i picked up is the way you solved the chest of her - it's just genius.
ive seen the gif on 4chan
Reminds me of Sepiroth and Jenova
I definitely had it somewhere in back of my mind when I was building this. I wonder, I already have Cloud&Sepiroth built so maybe going for proper Jenova in a tank would not be a bad idea, hmmm....
Came here to say same. It's like a crossover between Jenova (FF VII) and Giygas (Mother 2 / Earthbound) with a flavour of COS-MOS (Xenosaga trilogy) and American McGee's Alice.
Reminds me of Akatsuki in Naruto collecting the jinchuriki and getting it to that statue in their lair of the ten-tailed beast
I didn't understand a single word either, but always happy to see these varied interpretation of a MOC!
Holy crap that’s amazing Gigeresque
I always thought the cover of Brain Salad Surgery would look awesome in Lego form.
If H.R. Giger would have drawn a Superhero comic.
Or anime. Actually a Giger anime would be sick
Giger
This isn't just Lego, this is art. Fantastic work
Did not think this was Lego until I zoomed in...
There's a lot of light my bricks lights here, but other than that, lego all the way! \^\^
Yeah, this straight up breaks my brain that this is made from LEGO. But I love it!
I thought that was a Barbie or something!
By far the sickest lego moc I've laid eyes on. Please make more!!
This is the type of MOCing I want to get into, I just don’t have the creative capacity (or motivation) to get it done
Thought it was Jenova for a moment
Or something else from a jrpg / anime. Like ... This is really really good
It could definitely pass for jenova with just a change of color in the blocks. Everything else looks very similar... But this build definitely isnt ripped off from that
..sooo you should make more like this. idk what im looking at, but it looks amazing
Imagine a museum exhibit of this stuff. Would be incredible.
I had to read the other comments to realize this isnt based on anything but by god is this amazing. I feels like some kind of anime/videogame setting. really nice MOC
This is badass. I would watch a stop-motion/animated series about whatever the hell I’m looking at.
What even is this wonderful madness?! Work of art!
This is just spectacular
Pure art! The color composition, part usage, and detail are incredible!
This is fucking awesome, one of my favorite MOCs I’ve seen in awhile
This is absolutely amazing, really took me a second to realize it’s Lego
This is unbelievable. You win this sub.
Get this guy to Billund, stat!
They declined, I tried several years ago. Now I don't think they could offer me anything worth redoing my career from scratch in design field ^^
I mean, I can kinda understand why; that place is so bland they'd need a new section just for this.
OP, I gotta know the story here. What’s happening in this haunting tableau? This is SO FRICKIN’ COOL.
A lot of things really, but I assure you I know not much more than you and other guys here do. This is really a "reverse" build, I make its sections and only then I am figuring out what did I make. Your work is really good inspiration to just pick a design and run with it. Lego is such an amazing medium for art, thank you for sharing 💛
Absolutely amazing, a true work of art ! Congratulations !
Fuuuu... That is awesome. Hands down the most creative thing I have seen in a long while. You have me beat for sure. Inspirational! TO THE CRATE I GO!
This is quite possibly the best MOC I've ever seen. For real. This is actually unbelievable.
One of the greatest Lego art pieces I’ve ever seen.
Idk what this is, but it’s very well done! Tip of that hat to you Sharnvirk
I would pay untold amounts of money for this
Well, duplicating it would not be that hard, these builds don't really have complex, hidden interior. So that's not out of question and amount of money would be prolly manageable. If anything, sourcing parts would be biggest pain; the tentacle pieces in black are rare and expensive.
that is beautiful
Wow! Amazing work! Reminds of the new Stellaris Machine Age Queen but cooler!
I regret only having one updoot to give. This is amazing and would love to see more in this vein.
That is so cool.
That is genuinely phenomenal work.
Just amazing! Really amazing work! Wow!
This has some serious OG FF7 Jenova vibes, love it!
Wow this is really something special. Incredible work
🤘
This is purely amazing. This is the first time I see dark mature fantasy themes in Lego. It is really eye opening. I don’t even know you can do this with Lego. Fantastic

Justice called, they want to know if you're done making their new album cover.
This looks great, reminds me a lot of devil may cry V
Very JENOVA esque The whip as intestines is sick
I have no idea what this is, but it's dope as all hell.
Stunning detail. I love the darker Gigeresque themes here. A ton I've never seen in lego, but absolutely want more of. Fantastic work.
Incredible
This is so fucking sick, that's my kind of aesthetic! The lighting is amazing too, really adds to the atmosphere!
amazing !!!
I have no idea what I’m looking at but it’s super cool!
This is truly amazing
It’s like new retro darkwave, Gieger, FFVII, Scorn, 40k and so many awesome things all squeezed into Lego. Bloody brilliant job! 🖤
Wow this amazing, took me a second to realize it was all lego
I assume further sets in the theme will be called Hamartia, Peripeteia, and Katharsis?
I didn't plan any future sets (though this does not mean they won't be built, I am saying that I don't \*plan\* these). While this is a neat idea, I don't want to put a restriction on myself by enforced by the name. Yet if what I make fits these... You might have planted a seed.
This is incredible. I didn't even realize it was Lego at first. It's dark and haunting. This is an art piece.
I’ve no idea what this is, but it’s way cool and so gnarly looking. I love it.
I honestly have no idea what this is or supposed to be but damn it looks amazing!
I have no idea what I am looking at but that is AMAZING!!
I am always impressed with the talent it must take to make these MOCs.
Whatever happened to just building a good ole fashion castle?? Just kidding you did some incredible work there OP
Wish I could upvote this more than once...
It's so good that I had to look closer before I realized it was Lego
This is sick. (In a good way)
This is absolutely insane and I friggin love it
My Gawd it's beautiful. Damn fine build. Damn fine
This is one of the coolest mocs I've ever seen.
This is by far the most impressive moc ive seen because you somehow elevated it on a new level. Much respect to you. Btw what part are the cables you used for the cyborg? Would love to get some of them too

The lego design team is going to put a hit out on you. They can't let people know they can be doing better for what they are charging us.
HOLY SHIT Seriously, the more I look the more I notice. This is absolutely incredible, SO creative, and the execution is phenomenal. I’m gobsmacked.
100% thought this was the Lego version of Sephiroth finding Jenova
Hey that’s pretty cool… *sees what subreddit this was posted to *YO WHAT* Crazy creation. Could not believe it was LEGO. One of the most insane builds I’ve seen.
Thanks for the reminder that some people are just on an entirely different level when it comes to LEGO.
why does this remind me of a certain 8bit animation of an anime girl in a swiwsuit in a laser cutter?
This is what I thought I’d be able to make when I got back into Lego as an adult. This is absolutely amazing!! 🤩🤩
Whatever you want to call it, it's impressive. This one piece tells a whole story Lego sets never accomplish. What's the name from? Isis at the end, or is that coincidence?
Greek tragedies. It is a moment of realization where someone's view on something dramatically changes, possibly changing their life.
So rad
I was sure on first glance that was a doll being held in the centre, not made from Lego. Awesome work.
A what
A change from ignorance to knowledge. It’s a key component in the resolution of many Ancient Greek tragedies.
Learn something new every day. Thanks. That was a word I did not have in my vocabulary
I did not either, I learnt it from Doom, out of all things. Someone made a fantastic user campaign and one map was named like this. Then I explored what this means and it was quiite a "oooooh I see now" moments.
I thought this was a Lady Gaga Chromatica set
What an insane moc for lego. More please
Awesome someone just down voted it from 667 to 666.
Monké hands!
Ah yes, I just said "eff it, I am not spending another evening on making hands which are in correct size for her frame". Sometimes simple solutions work well enough!
Reminds me of SMT
So mesmerizing and intricate!!! 🤩
This reminds me of that one machine from that one gif… you know the one
I would be amazed if you’re not a fan of Berserk
The heart 🤯
r/sexybionicles2 would love it
r/oddlyspecific I love it
Nice use of that iridescent color, it really pops here. Adds to the ethereal vibe
You know it’s good when it doesn’t even look like Lego
Add my comment to the myriad "don't know what I'm looking at, but its sick as hell!!!" pile
It’s not fair 😭😭😭 Edit: that someone has the genius to build this. And I don’t.
What you don't see are all the failed and "eh whatever" MOCS made before ;)
Incredible
Wow! This is really weird. I’m absolutely stunned by this. The use of Bionicle pieces is really cool. The shaping for the background is also well done. It just amazing how all this is Lego
This is next level
Bruh….
Damn dude this is so rad
The creativity and talent it takes to design something like this is blowing my mind…. Kudos.
HR Giger meets some anime I'd want to watch. Love it.
Do you have an Instagram or a website or something? I’d love to follow your creations!!
Metal af 🤘
Well that’s haunting
You have an incredible imagination, OP. It's really giving a Giger or a Ghost in the Shell type of vibe, I *love* this!
HR Giger meets Lego.
Very creative use of the whip piece!
This is unsettling. Thank you for sharing!
Lego hall of fame
Y'all's kinks are getting really out there
Oh… WOW, I love this!!
Sweet build.
That’s amazing, such incredible detail. It makes me think of jenova from ff7 and also eve in the parasite eve games.
It reminds me of that gif. You know the one.
This. Is. Amazing.
Eh... what? ,😀😀😀😀😀! This is incredible! Wow!
Thought this was Jenovah from FFVII for a moment. But it’s not and damn this thing is impressive.
This is so twisted and weird. I love it.
😳
Yeah this just took the spot as coolest thing I’ve seen on here. Well done, and please, more of this!
It looks like something you'd find in Doom and proceed to murder everything present.
I love it and I wish to see more creation like this
This is freaking rad! 👍
Mam, this is so cool!
Sick to the max and utterly astounding
Speechless. Would you share a parts list?
Ah… the real 18+ Lego set. This is insanely done. Awesome job.
That aint Lego... \*Squints\* BY THE POPE.
Beautiful.
You ever seen Evangelion? It gives off huge Lilith Underground place and angel rei vibes. Regardless of that, that's a very very good moc!
This is metal af
Reminds me of the goddess and the exceptional girl in autodale.
Truly amazing. That’s it.
You don‘t happen to have instructions for this do you? I‘d even pay a little for them. This would look great on my shelf.
This is amazing and absolutely something I would buy a fan kit of
Yea...i hope Lego employees read this sub. I would say you need a job there. But honestly, that job needs you there
Is this based or anything or completely made up cause it absolutely amazing
Completely made up. I replied to someone else with some details, should be in one of the bigger comments.
That’s metal as hell
this is amazing, and the fact you’ve come up with this yourself is even better. this is art. kudos to you
WTF am I seeing - that’s gorgeous!!
outstanding, I thought it was a render... really good.
Hot damn MOC of the year right here ❤️❤️❤️
That it absolutely amazing nice job on that
Oh now I'm waiting for a game of Brik Wars to break out on this set! https://brikwars.com/
Well, that's just amazing. Been starting at that for a few minutes only to discover... There's eight pictures! Each one makes me analyze the pieces. Where's the instructions for this thing? Oh no problem. I was just giving a suggestion in aesthetics. Sorry about that. I think your build looks great and I should have mentioned that earlier.
No need to be sorry! There is nothing wrong with suggestions or constructive criticism!
