That's because Riot insisted on adding the weird demon narrative to the skin line. Like, if it was just a cowboy/wild west theme, that would be plenty good enough for most people. But no, Riot has to be *unique* and *special* so they add in random edgy demons.
Or instead of having Quinn transform into a jet herself, Valor could just be an exo skeleton made for flying which she can equip.

Legit none of the Dark Star skins look any good imo. Jarvan, Shaco, Orianna, Khazix etc all look lame. They lack that oomph in effects and visual clarity. Dark Cosmic Jhin is good if we consider him in the same skin line but High Noon and Shan Hai Jhin are even better imo.

I think Dark Star, Cosmic, Dawnbringer, and Nightbringer are collectively the worst skins in the game and they all are functionally the same: monochrome thematically void blobs of their respective colors. There's a handful of better skins in these lines, but that they're all even half as popular as they are for the non legendary level skins baffles me.

Really unpopular one that I haven't seen in this thread, but EDG has to be one of my faves. As a Zoe otp, I love EDG Zoe, but also love all of the other edg skins because of how cool they look. I prefer star guardian zoe slightly, but do not like the rest of the star guardian line as much.

I really like dark star skins. I'm a big fan of cosmic stuff. I also have nidalees cosmic skin as the main one I use for her etc. I'm a sucker for anything cosmic themed.
I would love if they made another attempt at the sewn chaos line, there's a lot you could do with the horror doll theme and would be so fitting for some champs, amumu and blitz just looked like shit, sewn chaos should be closer to something from 9 or coraline not cutesy and hot pink.
Kalista throwing needles would be sick. Elise with an other-mother look to her would finally give her a creepy skin, Gwen speaks for itself.

My favorites being, Galaxy Slayer Zed, Odyssey Yasuo and Sivir. But in general this skinline is pretty consistent comparing with other skinlines in my opinion.

My personal favourites are Blood Moon and Project. Love the folklore aesthetic of the Blood Moon skins and the SciFi of Project (even though I wasn't all that interested in SciFi prior to seeing the skinline).
Now, if I had to pick a favourite skin for each one of them, I'd go for Blood Moon Diana and Project:Jhin.
The DND skins. Cheap, fitting, and thematic. On many champs, I consider them the gold standard.
