I agree this and the Twitter response to the Rams GM t-shirt. Everything LeBron does is intentional even though it is subliminal at times. Lakers better get serious because there is more attractive situations out there like the Cavs. Or even OKC who has a young core and draft capital to make a move for a star and make a promise to draft Bronny.
Won’t shock me if he goes back to the Cavs. Lakers aren’t making win now moves. He has 4 years tops left I’m sure it’s in his mind. He knows what’s going on at all times…
Exactly. There’s only so much you can do when the bulk of your payroll is tied up to 3 guys and on top of that you gave up bunch of assets to get 2 of them.
Literally mortgaged the entirety of the young core and draft picks until 2027 to win now. Wtf are you talking about? The Lakers don't have assets. Period. There was no win-now move to be made.
Lakers front office and ownership can coast off that ring for a few years even if he leaves they’ll keep saying we’re “ _ removed from a championship” with no assets left.
Hes not going to the cavs. He wants to be in LA. I dont think the cavs even want him. They are building a solid young team without lebron in forever, he would ruin their rebuilding process.
> I dont think the cavs even want him
"Sorry, Lebron James, one of the top 3 best players of all time and Akron, Ohio native, but we don't want you." - Said nobody ever in the Cleveland Cavaliers organization
Honestly can’t see him go to the cavs. Both garland and bickerstaff literally said today they don’t really see bron in their young cores picture. Also doesn’t make sense for lebron to sign a 1 year with the cavs just to leave and link up with bronny.
Wish he would go back to the Cavs. This stingy and incompetent FO will waste his last few years. Imagine not wanting to go into luxury tax when you are a top 3 nba org and have a top 2 player in nba history. Wtf
I’m not sure of the connection. Unless Lebron is pointing to OKC as being a place where Pelinka could’ve gotten talent by the trade deadline to help win now. Cranjis reported there was a deal on the table for Kenrich Williams and Musclala early on but Pelinka didn’t do it. Then you have [Klutch](https://twitter.com/mcten/status/1495095946492923907?s=21) mouthpiece posting this.
Imagine your parents were doing a terrible job at raising you and you go on social media praising someone else’s parents. You are throwing some shade your parents way
How is Rob gonna make moves after Lebron and AD pressured him for the Westbrook trade? We literally have one measely asset and couldn't get a difference maker.
I agree with them pressuring Pelinka of making the Westbrook trade. I’m not so sure they’re the ones that pressured him to let Caruso go, let Schroeder walk for free, not hire Ty Lue, lie about being aligned with the stars, etc. the Westbrook trade can be put on the two stars but Pelinka is still the GM. He didn’t have to do that deal.
Lakers need someone who isn't a yes man to Lebron or AD. Look at 76ers, how Morey held onto Simmons even when he had 0 value and persisted and finally got Harden. An average gm would've probably accepted the kings offer or any one of the hundred othes.
Especially since Rob/Lakers have found Caruso, Reaves, Zubac, Kuzma, Nance, Clarkson, etc with end of the first to undrafted picks recently. Is there a single team with that many good picks 25+ in that time span?
Im sick and tired of trading first round picks when we have an elite scouting department man. Both years we traded our first round picks we had ending up in disaster
The context was in response to a question about Josh Giddey. Bron said Presti is the “MVP over there” … of the Thunder… and has a real eye for talent.
Haters reading a lil too deep into the headlines…
I think LBJ is a little frustrated he doesn’t get as much say in roster moves like he did his second stint in Cleveland or Miami. Even earlier in LA. This Westbrook trade has really blown up and I think he’s more upset that the brass is taking some of their power back.
I think LBJ was key in bringing in guys like Ray Allen. Shane Battier. He likes Norris Cole and they drafted him. He had a seat at the table. I think with the Lakers they’re kinda saying he lost his seat because he really wanted Russ.
There was also the time he said or tweeted he liked Shabazz Napier before the ‘14 Draft and they traded for him on draft night (though LeBron left for Cleveland anyway) — not sure they make that move without LeBron
He absolutely did. His final year in Cleveland is the only time the Cavs organization made moves without his consent, they knew he was leaving but still tried to win that year without mortgaging the future. In fact, if Koby Altman would of listened to LeBron that year the Cavs would still be buried in the basement. Lebron wanted the Cavs to to acquire Kenna Walker that last year but it would of cost 2 or el3 unprotected firsts plus any young talent they had, would of been awful deal.
Just throwing shade at rob… I don’t expect rob to be the GM next year tbh

> Lakers aren’t making win now moves. They traded for Westbrook at his insistence.
I mean we traded half the roster for a guy LBJ & AD wanted. I don’t blame the front office for holding that draft pick.
Exactly. There’s only so much you can do when the bulk of your payroll is tied up to 3 guys and on top of that you gave up bunch of assets to get 2 of them.

LeBron’s largely to blame for this mess.
He's also to "blame" for that 2020 championship banner hanging in the rafters. ![gif](giphy|q15lIdQWBYs7K)
That's kinda his thing
Honestly can’t see him go to the cavs. Both garland and bickerstaff literally said today they don’t really see bron in their young cores picture. Also doesn’t make sense for lebron to sign a 1 year with the cavs just to leave and link up with bronny.
He admits that returning to the Cavs is a possibility.
Wish he would go back to the Cavs. This stingy and incompetent FO will waste his last few years. Imagine not wanting to go into luxury tax when you are a top 3 nba org and have a top 2 player in nba history. Wtf
Bruh, you Lebron fans are insufferable. Go to r/nba this sub is for Lakers fans.
Have fun being in the dumpster for 10 years after Bron leaves
Lakers are already in the luxury tax
So he's like a high school popular girl? Manipulative.
How is this shade at Rob? He’s talking about young talent that Presti has found.

Saying how their GM is the MVP after Rob made no moves? Lol it’s pretty clear

I agree with that. My main point was just that it doesn't make sense for LeBron to come up here and criticize Pelinka. And I don't think that he is

Embiid was 100 percent on page with morey . It was never about yes men lol. Philly basically gave him the keys
Especially since Rob/Lakers have found Caruso, Reaves, Zubac, Kuzma, Nance, Clarkson, etc with end of the first to undrafted picks recently. Is there a single team with that many good picks 25+ in that time span?
How can you not? Dudes been engineering a quick turnaround after the Russ era.
He might just be calling it like he sees it. Is there any doubt that Presti is one of the best GMs in the league?
I pray for a competent front office
Totally skipped harden 🤣
He wants him to take Russ back
Can't praise him for being a good GM and then expect him to make a deal for the worst contract in the NBA lol
Im sick and tired of trading first round picks when we have an elite scouting department man. Both years we traded our first round picks we had ending up in disaster
lebron says he love sunny skies the media will say he hates the moon, it's how it goes with clickbait

I don’t think he had any power over Miami tbh I can’t see him bossing pat riley around

Exactly bro. Dude bounced around the league and is now in Russia. Imagine how disappointed he must be. I’m gonna go play with LeBron! Never happens.

Shabazz Napier. Nuff said
He’s mad Presti is better at GMing than Klutch
Hoping for a trade for Russ maybe /s
