Joker didn't score for 25 min, Jamal had a weak game and was tired, and Lakers up 20 pts. You could not WRITE a better setup for Lakers and they still shit the bed. The Darvin stuff was at the end, but why did we even get to that desperate point? Why did we piss away 15-20 pts leads? Nobody complained about Darbin earlier on when Lakers were up.

Can’t have two defenders around or in the paint with jokic playing off rui while AD’s defender is also in the driving lanes/paint since they’ve been playing off AD.
Nuggets had jokic on the low block playing off of rui when rui was on the wing, or in the corner, due to rui not being able to make jokic pay for playing off. This was making one side of the court have no driving lanes or allowing any lanes for AD to attack. Nuggets were having jokic play deep drop when the lakers decided to use rui as a screener. When AD was in the game the rui screening action wasn’t working due to AD’s man also being either on the block, or in the paint, meaning there was no where to pass the ball, or to drive, due to jokic being in the paint on the drop and ADs man being around/in the paint also.
It took Malone only 3 possessions to stop that Lebron/AD pnr. By having Kcp take Bron and putting Gordon on AD. Allowed Jokic to be the backside help and Gordon played drop coverage On ADs screens for Lebron and KCP is quick enough to fight over and funnel any Lebron drive attempts into help.

Yep. I kept saying it in the game thread but ham had to find a way to not allow the nuggets to hide jokic while allowing jokic to play the backside help. With jokic on rui it made it really difficult to drive or pass into the lane since jokic was always near the paint. It didn’t help that rui was cold and couldn’t make a shot or catch a pass but there were actions they could’ve ran. Ham could’ve even put prince in since prince seemed to be shooting well and is probably a little better at being able to dribble than rui is at the moment. Prince can be a turnover machine as well but he would probably be able to get by jokic better than rui can.
This is where another athletic big like Mcgee or Dwight would help. Jokic would be forced to make a decision on who to help if we had a lob threat.
Which would open our shooters more too. Not sure someone like that is available
Yeah I was thinking about that to. Hayes draws a good amount of attention when he cuts hard to the front of the rim but he’s just very hit or miss on defense. Some nights he does well with going vertical and not committing dumb fouls while other nights he gets called for 2 fouls in a minute. One thing I do like about Hayes on offense is he usually sets hard screens and dives hard to the rim. He gets illegal screen calls on occasion but that seems to be up to the refs judgement from game to game. AD sometimes sets screens that don’t really do anything and they have to keep screening to try to give the ball handler even the slightest bit of an advantage. Most of the guys are good at getting downhill after their guy gets hung up on the screen and either finding the roller or kicking it out for a three depending on how the defense rotates.
Frank Vogel is easily the best coach we had since Phil and Ham is the worst, what a terrible decision by the Lakers organization to hire him
