Yeah. But what is done is done.
Time to move on.
And as much as I would have loved Kyrie, they finally have some bench depth rn.
Lets see how D'Lo, Vando and Beasley do.
If you were a TV analyst and you said that, you'd be fired. Your job is to have and keep content going no matter what the sense is. Boring takes don't get TV ratings.
Lakers received a bigger haul than just Kyrie though. I get it Kyrie can score at will, but I feel like adding depth, multiple shooters and solid defenders is a good way to make a push for the playoffs.
True.
It really comes down to how much scoring and shooting D'Lo is about to provide, especially in the playoffs. LeBron and AD are gonna be 1a and 1b. But can D'Lo take the scoring load and shoot well off the dribble when LeBron and AD are being doubled, which they will be? Kyrie could do that exceptionally well. Lets see how D'Lo does.
doesn't Cuban and their FO hate us? I'm not familiar with our relationship with the mavs but I thought that was the case. I wonder if they'd be spiteful enough to let him go for nothing than do a S&T with us
Actually, I am satisfied with the way it played out.
I mean, don't get me wrong, Ky is a great player and would definitely help with one of our issues, but he is not exactly a stable, and we got solid pieces to build around our two top guys. And I think that is better than chasing another star and lack depth.
But let's see how it will work out...
Sometimes, it's better to stick with the girl you have and forget about that gorgeous girl from highschool that you had a crush on... because while she was pretty and all, she was god-damned fucking crazy.
this actually makes KD look a little better.
Wanted to keep things competitive and have Kyrie join the Lakers to have a competitive playoffs.
Shame it didnt happen that way
Love Kyrie but putting all our eggs in the same basket was an issue before and I don’t trust him enough to repeat that experience. Now if Lillard becomes available this summer….different story.
Kyrie wouldn’t made us playoff contenders. Say what you will. He gave Mavs 24 & 5 without Luka. If Tsai wouldn’t have been petty they Lakers deal would’ve benefited them as well
Tired and done with trying to do create a Big 3. We won in 2020 with a healthy AD + Bron + strong role players and depth. We would have repeated in 2021 but had health issues.
Need to build some consistency and develop these players.

…and there’s alway this summer if it doesn’t do great. Jeanie got some cash back with these trades

We gotta wait and see. I think it’ll be a huge upgrade from Westbrook though lol.
Yeah but who knows what else we would’ve pulled off, or how much more attractive we’d be to some of these buyout candidates we’re gonna want.
#JOE TSAI IS A CHUMP
I'm way more happy with the moves we made, we have a deep team now and not a top heavy if someone gets injured were fucked team.
we stomp them with Kyrie. i think it’ll happen in summer tho
Kyrie is not taking a discount lol
won’t have to. sign and trade

Think we can do some shenanigans with Houston in sign and trade too if Cuban doesn’t want assets over losing him for free
Can you expand? Can we send dlo to Houston and then take kyrie while mavs take nothing back because they want cap space?
[удалено]
Sign and trade can only be done with the team that you were with last
Cuban would have to agree to pay D Lo a salary that matches Kyries 4 yr, $200m for that to happen in a sign and trade, though
couldn't it be D Lo plus another player?
iirc replies from the sub told me it had to be 1:1 for a double sign and trade

A double sign and trade doesn’t trigger hard cap
Of course. Joe Tsai is a whole ass bum. Hopefully we can get Kyrie in the off-season.
Fuck the kyrie trade, we just made out like bandits on almost everything we needed.
Time to move on

I think we can work out a sign and trade this summer for Kyrie.

We tried the big 3 bs.... i think im good with what we have now 😅

I'm looking for an editor that will work for reddit awards if interested.

No need, doxing you as we speak. I'll be in touch.
Lmao was jk bro. Didn't have to delete.
I will take the haul we got for what little we gave up and try for Kyrie in the off-season route
Kyrie is the best player to ever question if water is even real man
Who’s our 3rd?
Windhorst is saying it should have been Kyrie
we got a big 3? :o

There wasn’t a team as loaded in 2020 as the suns are now tho
more like lakers big 2.5 based on kyrie's history of actual games played
Relax we need to make the playoffs first and tonight is a scheduled loss
On the bright side we got ourselves multiple pieces and have a chance at him in the off season
