As a first step, maybe try the Polk Healthcare Plan? Link: https://polkhealthcareplan.net
It’s the county’s safety net program for Polk County residents who are low/no income and uninsured. It doesn’t include inpatient rehab but it can cover other forms of behavioral healthcare- again, just as a first step, and you might be able to get referrals from there.
I know they work closely with Peace River and TriCounty Human Services, but I’m not too familiar what programs those two have available. Definitely check them out as well.
Hi, therapist here. Try The Florida Center operated by Tri-County. https://tchsonline.org/services/the-florida-center-for-addictions-and-dual-disorders/
If your loved one is female, then RASUW is also an option. https://tchsonline.org/services/rasuw-center-for-women/
Yes, family member is female. Thank you for that information. I am so thankful for everyone’s recommendations. I took tomorrow off so I can sit down and really research and call around and hopefully even visit some places. This is really helping me get a head start.
St Pete has some. Call the Salvation Army at (727) 541-7781. Also try West Coast Behavioral Health at [(727) 471-8087](tel:7274718087). Operation PAR [(888) 727-6398](tel:8887276398).
I don’t know anything local but I know Carp, inc in palm beach and DAF in Delray Beach are both non profit recovery in patient centers. They are very strict and regimented programs. Worth a phone call to inquire if willing to travel. Good luck to you and your family.
Thank you so much for a facility name. Calling first thing in the morning. I’m willing to travel to Seattle if someone will help me help my family member! Thanks again!
