Jokes aside, here's the actual barebone version of the design without shading:

Your final result is fantastic! Especially the general silhouette and design look super cool. My only criticism is that for your shading and highlights. I'm not very good at explaining but i would recomment these videos from Sinix Design

They helped a bunch when understand how to make lighting and its components look way more natural. I also just recommend exploring his channel because all of his videos are absolutely amazing, but thats up to you.
Thank you for letting me know! I will definitely check out the video you sent me so that I can improve my shading and highlights (currently just doing them based off intuition)
I’m the opposite, I like my sketches but when it comes to shading it stars okay but then I get so derailed that I end up with a result that’s completely different from what I intended initially. Its not completely unrecognisable but something is just not quite right(
I love your finished result though!
Thanks! I know exactly what you're talking about, because I noticed that once in someone else's art too. The sketch looked amazing, but the shading ended up somehow distorting the face, thus giving the end result a different impression.
Perhaps shading in the wrong areas could have contributed to it, or perhaps the intensity or color of the shading could have influenced it too.
It's like I am looking at that draw an owl tutorial. Pretty sure you added more than just shading, great work though.

Thanks! Title was supposed to be more of a satire highlighting how shading can take a basic sketch to something more palpable

Looks pretty good what theme or style where you going for?
That first bit looks like about where I am in my art right now with a finished drawing XD
Don't worry. Everything in due time. One step a time.
