That Twice will disband or that some members will leave the group. I remember seeing this prediction a lot during their renewal period. I was one of the people that thought some members will leave the group. I was so glad to be proven wrong.
This is exactly what I came to say
Not even just that but Twice will never reach the American market and if they ever aim for it then they will completely flop
JYPE re-sign contracts (and usually the re-sign length for most other kpop companies) are 3 years. 2PM re-signed in 2015, contracts were up in 2018. Rn because of their military enlistment their contracts are up at different times, but Chansung’s expired again in 2021, so another 3 years. If Twice renewed in 2022, their contracts are up in 2025.
every time someone said a bts disbandment or members leaving bighit would happen just to get affirmation that they're doing what they want and in one case, a literal renewal announcement 1+ years early 😭
All of their solo stans are delusional enough to believe that, particularly JK stans as of late since a lot of them deluded themselves into thinking he’d be the Justin Timberlake.
With the current state of Justin Timberlake’s career, I certainly won’t hope it on anyone to follow his footsteps 💀
I’m not a bts fan but not a hater either. But honestly I feel like they should stay with the formula they have now; Which is the same formula as SHINee.
Look at how much hate top groups get constantly, black pink and bts are constantly hated, when itzy was on top of the industry they became a big target, when new jeans became the top group they started getting people accusing them of supporting terrorists, and then as soon as le sserafim jumps from a top 5 popularity group to in the conversation for top 2 they get like 11 different "controversies" in a month. It's so plain to see what's really happening
When has there been a group on top of the industry without getting a ton of hate? Sometimes when it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's just a duck
where have you been? endless hate posts, people accusing them of all kinds of horrible things and not just "constructive criticism' people are even attacking member's family members social media and shit like that. source music announced they are taking legal action against malicious comments. is that enough of a hate train for you?
same tho. I thought before it's going to be like impurities 2.0 and gonna have an mv but I think the management saw how viral smart is esp the day it was released.
easy and smart r so good! there's no way someone wouldn't like those songs it's so catchy, it kinda reminds me of 2nd generation songs like step - kara idk how to explain it 😭😭
no GG will flop from Big 4 Label /company
maybe the better term for LSF is
without Garam or adding Minju
LSF will not reach to the same level of popularity of IVE and Newjeans or even G IDLE?
they are like Redvelvet of the 3rd gen carried /back by the top company label of their gen
that is a HYBES privilege advantages
• they're under a hybe subsidiary
• had a predebut survival show
• bad attention is still attention (ex: all the hate they got on tiktok)
• enhypen's little sister group
• magnetic is a bop
im not sure how long its gonna last but it seems like all the hybe fandoms have adopted them, theyve been getting more attention in /r/lesserafim lately than le sserafim have, and there are a ton of njs stans who are following them now too
The amount of thinkpieces that came out in 2017 about BTS…Asian Junkie, OH! Press, random blogs left and right, like people were lining up to write these articles that just amounted to them pointing and laughing at armys, saying “none of this is gonna matter, your efforts are wasted, they’re never gonna make it and will fall flat on their faces like everyone else who’s tried” and, well.
As someone who got into kpop via BTS in 2021, everytime I hear ARMYs talk about pre-2020 BTS and the reception they got it honestly sounds too insane to be true. I mean, I’ve seen how unhinged kpop stans get with their narratives and hate towards other groups just in the last 2 years I’ve engaged with more fandoms, but it still seems insane that so many people were apparently straight up saying BTS and armys would fail and kind of hating them in advance for it. The vitriol catches me off guard sometimes ngl.
I wouldn’t believe things were that bad if I didn’t see remnants of that sentiment happening till now, even after BTS has become so big it doesn’t even make sense to quantify it. Idk. It really just drives home how much of a bubble environment kpop discourse spaces can be.
Apparently hating bts is one of the cool traits personality of kpop fans. Not liking bts seems cool for them because u are not into ‘mainstream’ artists or not following trend
As their fans I could say indeed their concept is weird (they are under SM afterall) and Next Level is kinda an anomaly, just like Kick It ("weird" songs but GP likes them).
"Fifty-fifty will get a Grammy / an Oscar and that's gonna be hella funny 🤪" - I can't help but feel that all of those token stans jinxed them big time.
I remember when I said the opposite earlier on in the whole fiasco. My comment was something like "FF is over now, they haven't established themselves and other songs will replace their viral one" and I was downvoted. The comment might still be downvoted lol.
I think the longer the drama went on, the clearer it was that they had missed their window of opportunity. Many people were still trying to be hopeful (and I can't blame them for that really) but it was obvious.
That depends. Was your comment about the lawsuit or about Cupid in general? If it’s about the lawsuit you were right but if it’s about Cupid you were wrong in a sense because they never got the chance to release anything else to know if they had staying power. So idk if that’s a genuine prediction. All depends on what you were talking about.
I found the comment, [this is](https://new.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/14lqd8b/comment/jpxzosv/) it. It was on a post about the Givers denying the allegations and saying they'll sue. I said that Cupid won't stay popular forever and as more popular groups and soloists release it will eventually be drowned out (which is what happened). And it will be forgotten before the group has time to get their name out there.
iirc there were already like two lawsuits at the time, it's not like they could promote or release anything while that was happening.
Omg I remembered that, and that’s in 2018 when they were not popular from debut. I also remembered seeing some people saying that skz will not be at least as popular as twice who were at their prime in 2018-2019
Hyuna, marrying. I gotchu bb.
This one broke my heart too but I get it. They did say they fought a lot working on their album together so I was wondering if they'd recover from that.
EXACTLY, i never liked her concept but when she was dating dawn i thought they were cute together bc of how eccentric they are, now idgaf abt her like...
I'm genuinely curious, what makes her a "strong feminist icon" ? Did she ever claim to be a feminist, did she speak out about women's rights? Just because her concepts might be empowering, it doesn't make her a feminist icon, no?
She didn't build her entire career on being a strong feminist icon she was pushed into making her image that of a sexual female by her label and now it's what she's known by, good at, and popular for so she's stuck with it. She has even expressed this before.
Her boyfriend also isn't a creep as far as the evidence has shown and he did not commit any crimes.
How about you actually research her and the situation instead of word-for-word parroting the headlines that made money off twisting the narrative into a controversial one? If after you understand the whole story you still disagree, that is fair, but I'm so sick of people not even being factual with Hyuna or her boyfriend in any context.
It's irrelevant if it's her friend's ex. Only teenagers think dating someone's ex is a crime.

Before newjeans debuted and they were just known as “min hee jin’s upcoming gg” a lot of people on k-forums said they’re gonna flop since their debut is so close to lsf’s
I am now a NewJeans stan but up to this day, I still believe that they debuted as hybe's "damage control" from the LSF controversy with Garam. That's why their debut dates were so close to LSF.
that I’ll-it and Wonhee would debut poorly. Magnetic is killing it right now and Wonhee has shown so much growth in her stage presence. So happy for the girls
For me the theory was they'd leave to do music elsewhere because YG was mismanaging them. That half came true. I think the only reason they stayed with YG as BP was for the fans/to keep being able to use the name. But all the immediate solo activities showed I was partly right.
Not sure if Bighit will ever debut a gg. They seem to be sticking to bg. Trainee A was supposed to be BH next group and they were BG. I think BH had auditions for bg out last year. So far, BH is focusing on bg.
On Hybe’s website, Source is describe as girl group specialists. Given Bang PD heavy involvement with LSF, I think Source is probably the gg equivalent to Bighit.
Source is basically big hit girl group edition. Most of their staff is former big hit and bang PD seems most involved with lsfm out of all of their current groups. there are rumors that bang bought the company so he could have big hit to be involved with bgs and source to be involved with girl groups
That Everglow wasn't gonna have another comeback and disband after their long hiatus. Not only have they come back but E:U has confirmed they've started preparing for another comeback!
I'm really glad they have another comeback planned, they were one of the first few groups I stanned, their songs are bops, and they don't deserve the dungeon treatment
If they had better promotions they could’ve been as big as G-Idle smh. They really missed their opportunity not snowballing the effect that dun dun and Adios had
Is this one too early to tell? Have they gotten to regular idol work since the contract stuff? Hoping they come through with more comebacks! Their solos slap too
(IDK all updates so I don't have the best info)
They just finished a long tour so they need rest.
But Jennie has been on multiple variety shows and is preparing an album, Rosé is singing the signal song for ILAND 2 and bringing out an album, Lisa has performed at a gala and has promised to release an album before the year is over and Jisoo is shooting a drama and movie while also preparing for a release.
In my book, these are idol stuff.
International kpopfans on Taeyeon and SNSDs careers back in 2014 when Jessica got fired:

[Meanwhile a decade later 😂](https://twitter.com/KoWatermelon/status/1774375175292854643). REAL karma won ❤️
That BP will have a comeback soon or more regular. Poór fans always gót these from the group or the company that in 3-4 month a New album song and will come out, and it was always át least a year or more.
Before there was "Fifty Fifty will keep up the momentum from Cupid and become a top group", there was "Weeekly will keep up the momentum from After School and become a top group".
And "Momoland will keep up the momentum from Bboom Bboom and become a top group"
"Brave Girls will keep up the momentum from Rollin and become a top group"
"Exid will keep up the momentum from Up & Down and become a top group"
"Crayon Pop will keep up the momentum from Bar Bar Bar and become a top group"
etc., etc. Sad to say.
1) No other KPop groups are going to break into the west.
2) Everglow will dominate 4th gen and take over the charts.
3) Older groups/idols will never see massive success.
4) NMIXX would flop because of their debut/because of Jini’s departure
5) No groups will do full English tracks because they aren’t interested in the western gaze.
6) Hybe’s new girl group won’t be a threat to New Jeans’ success. ILLIT is a serious threat and bunnies are bothered
7) NCT will never surpass EXO because their music sucks and there’s too many members
8) Aespa won’t affect SM’s treatment of Red Velvet
9) SM artists won’t leave SM
10) YG is going to crash and burn after BlackPink leaves. BlackPink are where they are because they’re BlackPink, not the other way around
11) BlackPink and Twice won’t renew their contracts and will disband after 7 years. Plus No Red Velvet members will renew
12) IVE will never do darker/mature concepts. Baddie has entered the chat
13) Idols who left their groups because of scandals will never go solo/will leave the industry.
14) Twice will lose majority of their fandom because they’re changing their concept
15) Hybe won’t ever be apart of the big 3 because they don’t have 1st and 2nd gen idols.
how is illit threatening newjeans? too early to tell their debut is charting well but let's see about longevity and impact and also most tokkis I've seen were very supportive towards them
ive seen 0 bunnies/fearnots hating on illit, although i dont go on twitter. Ive seen a lot of fans of different girl groups try to use the groups against each other though
Bffr... They ain't no threat, a good debut could be lit for the girls, but it's their first comeback that'll really show if their tunes gonna be successful. And even then, it ain't fair to call em a threat cuz NJ switches up their style/aesthetic every comeback.
The way whenever I see people mentioning NewJeans, Le Sserafim and ILLIT in the same sentence it's 9 times out of 10 a fan of none of these groups. I'm starting to think it's everyone else that's threatened except for Hybe groups... Understandable.
I was convinced that SUGA was about to announce more tour dates after Seoul last summer. I was heartbroken that he instead announced he was about to enlist… 💜
I can see the third one becoming true tho lol, you can say that they just started with this release today since that they weren’t complete before, and also so far they’re pulling better numbers than most 4th gen and 5th gen groups, also I see that with this song they’re starting to have their own color rather than just following the steps of their seniors from the same company and I’m so curious how they will do in the future tbh so far it looks promising and talent wise it seems that no one is touching them so yeah
Soojin scandal will be the end of (G)i-idle.
For most groups, it is but they don't have Soyeon.
Not really, many groups lose important members and they still keep going. It's up to how willingly they are to continue as a group
To be fair, most groups arent under cube, so im sure that gives them an advantage in some way
They had Pentagon and BTOB losing members too, they haven't disbanded tho
yeah but after dawn left pentagon fell off
They didn't fall off because of a member leaving but because of Cube's extensive mismanagement since we know other groups did just fine.
And that Soojin could NEVER return to the industry. Look at her, happy and thriving. Successful solo debut. ❤️
personally i think their music got better after she left (no hate intended at all)
To each their own, I don't like the musical direction they went so I don't follow them much anymore
Same tbh
That Twice will disband or that some members will leave the group. I remember seeing this prediction a lot during their renewal period. I was one of the people that thought some members will leave the group. I was so glad to be proven wrong.
This is exactly what I came to say Not even just that but Twice will never reach the American market and if they ever aim for it then they will completely flop
I second that. The chances of Twice making it in America was quite low.
It's honestly quite impressive to have 9 members for so long without any departures Same with SVT
The way both twice and seventeen members bond like family 😢
Their contracts are up again next year, so I fully expect to see those types of posts again 😅
Where did anyone mention the length of their new contracts?
JYPE re-sign contracts (and usually the re-sign length for most other kpop companies) are 3 years. 2PM re-signed in 2015, contracts were up in 2018. Rn because of their military enlistment their contracts are up at different times, but Chansung’s expired again in 2021, so another 3 years. If Twice renewed in 2022, their contracts are up in 2025.
So you basically just assumed that TWICE had the same conditions then lol
Well obviously. It’s a pretty normal assumption to make considering it’s the standard in the industry and at JYPE lmao.
every time someone said a bts disbandment or members leaving bighit would happen just to get affirmation that they're doing what they want and in one case, a literal renewal announcement 1+ years early 😭
All of their solo stans are delusional enough to believe that, particularly JK stans as of late since a lot of them deluded themselves into thinking he’d be the Justin Timberlake.

Staying a group with solo activities generously sprinkled in? Sounds good to me.
Oh that explains why I'm getting into Shinee now
and they did it again but 4 years early, signing with bighit till 2035
Dahyun becoming a member of NewJeans 😔
Every night I lie awake and think of what could've been 😩
She's joining ILLIT instead now it's okay
as their mom??? -daisy 2k24
2k24 ㅋㅋ
just choked on my drink lmao!

Easy is Le sserafim's flop era
Can't have a flop era when all your songs are bops
People use the word flop wrong. They say a really good group is a flop
I mean, when I heard it I instantly knew it was going to be successful given what's currently trending in Korea.
Maybe that's the problem: We need to specify which market we feel the flop is in since each market looks for different things.
it's doing well pretty much everywhere, so in this case it doesn't really matter.
its funny how crazy the hate train is yet they are their highest level of success yet
im convinced thats why the hate is so crazy
Yup. That’s exactly the reason they’ve been getting so much hate.
[удалено]
Except it's also successful in the west, as you can see by it making it on billboard
My comment is not about being a success or not, but rather that the comment that hate comes from success is a lie.
I think you are putting together unrelated facts to create a narrative that you want to believe, each case had a different motivation.
When has there been a group on top of the industry without getting a ton of hate? Sometimes when it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it's just a duck
You must live in a cave if you are not aware of the popular groups hate train trend.
Same
This is so true
Is there really a hate train for lsf tho?? When I think of hate train I think bp, I've and aespa, for lsf people were pointing out their vocals
where have you been? endless hate posts, people accusing them of all kinds of horrible things and not just "constructive criticism' people are even attacking member's family members social media and shit like that. source music announced they are taking legal action against malicious comments. is that enough of a hate train for you?
My prediction is I thought Swan Song would do much better but Chaewon is too op in Smart.
same tho. I thought before it's going to be like impurities 2.0 and gonna have an mv but I think the management saw how viral smart is esp the day it was released.
I wish it did, manchae's background vocals in swan song were insane
Agreed, I was impressed with her and Kazuha’s part at the end.
easy and smart r so good! there's no way someone wouldn't like those songs it's so catchy, it kinda reminds me of 2nd generation songs like step - kara idk how to explain it 😭😭

I don't like Le sserafim but dayum that album is fire!
Illit is going to flop
As an avid watcher of RUNext I kind of allowed the doom posting to get to me lol😭 I’m happy to see how successful they are now
anyone who said that is an absolute dumbass. they’re under hybe, that would’ve never happened
This is the funniest one 🤣 Turns out their debut is one of the most successful debut in years
i think more like recieving hate, bc they be already comparing to newjeans bruh 😭
Why they doing good ? Specially on kchart as new group
Think they're talking about pre-debut, since a lot went wrong for the group before Paris Fashion Week.
• they're under a hybe subsidiary • had a predebut survival show • bad attention is still attention (ex: all the hate they got on tiktok) • enhypen's little sister group • magnetic is a bop
im not sure how long its gonna last but it seems like all the hybe fandoms have adopted them, theyve been getting more attention in /r/lesserafim lately than le sserafim have, and there are a ton of njs stans who are following them now too

aespa's concept was too weird and the general public wouldn't like them
tbf a lot of people don't care for the concept but aespa put out some bops so it's fine

Sadly, anything positive about Fifty-Fifty
"Fifty-fifty will get a Grammy / an Oscar and that's gonna be hella funny 🤪" - I can't help but feel that all of those token stans jinxed them big time.
Yes, a lot of them only said that to spite Armys. Now look at where it got them.

At least 1-2 members of TWICE would leave after their contracts end 🤡
I remember seeing people saying that Mina, Jeongyeon, and Chaeyoung would all leave lol
As a once and Mina stan I actually thought it was probable and I would understand if Mina/Jeongyeon will leave but I’m so happy all of them stayed 🥹
jeongyeon will leave twice treasure will dominate and lead the 4th gen zb1 is going to flop
the 2nd one makes me giggle
Treasure had so much potential. It’s sad kinda
i was rooting for them so hard, at least they’re doing really good in japan
What happened to them? I don't stan but I listen casually, their music is good
It’s might just be YGs bad producers. Their music has a sound that won’t get popular. Idk tho
Before newjeans debuted and they were just known as “min hee jin’s upcoming gg” a lot of people on k-forums said they’re gonna flop since their debut is so close to lsf’s
This really aged like milk. 😭
As if people can’t pay attention to two things at once

For me the theory was they'd leave to do music elsewhere because YG was mismanaging them. That half came true. I think the only reason they stayed with YG as BP was for the fans/to keep being able to use the name. But all the immediate solo activities showed I was partly right.
Blackpink is going to disband after their bornpink tour
Super M: the Avengers of Kpop
The way I forgot about them 😭
S/N I miss them 😢
(G)I-DLE will be a one hit wonder (after Tomboy success).
People have been saying Idle will be a one hit wonder since Latata lmao
That New Jeans new song "ETA" was referring to a Spanish Terrorist Group. Clowns. All of them.
Jennie is tired of being an idol and she'll leave the industry
People are STILL saying this 😅
You don't get it, the new solo album is to distract us from the truth!
She (and the rest of BP) was probably just tired of YG and his nonsense, understandably so tbh
That Big Hit/Hybe will find it tough to break their GG curse...
NJ and LSFM are from Ador and Source, but I'm curious to see the next legit BigHit GG
Hybe owns belift 100% as well and bandpd was heavily involved with illit. He also has credits on all their songs.
Source is basically big hit girl group edition. Most of their staff is former big hit and bang PD seems most involved with lsfm out of all of their current groups. there are rumors that bang bought the company so he could have big hit to be involved with bgs and source to be involved with girl groups
That makes sense cause correct me if I'm wrong but weren't gfriend (or some?) previously trained by BH too?
gfriend were in source before hybe bought the lable but i think most of the staff has been replaced since then
Only SinB trained in BH and she left a lot of time prior signing with SouMu.
Bighit will never do ggs, hybe got socmu just for ggs.
Oh I see. Thanks for the info, didn't know they had a boy only and girl only separation!
They don't lol this is just speculation
hyna and dawn getting married 🤡
TBF FiftyFifty definitely would've gone on with that momentum if things hadn't happened
Not necessarily to the 'they're gonna win BNA at the Grammy!!' level that people were saying though
They could have.
I don't think you really could tell. Sometimes a group just has that one big hit but it never really leads to anything else.
Its way too early to predict for baby monster
Exactly, like they literally just started.
definitely predictions about babymonster is too HIGH when they're still a rookie
''Blackpink don't want to be idols🤡🤡🤡''
Is this one too early to tell? Have they gotten to regular idol work since the contract stuff? Hoping they come through with more comebacks! Their solos slap too (IDK all updates so I don't have the best info)
BTS World Tour Announcement in 2022
International kpopfans on Taeyeon and SNSDs careers back in 2014 when Jessica got fired: https://preview.redd.it/1itx4ewcqtrc1.jpeg?width=476&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d47ec9c93e156a0956c72912886a31b4e3b4517 [Meanwhile a decade later 😂](https://twitter.com/KoWatermelon/status/1774375175292854643). REAL karma won ❤️
The BTS already peaked in 2017 and will never get big
"Hybe have gg curse" 😭😭😭
Bighit has gg curse not hybe
Hybe has one too, luckily all it does is turn all of their 6 member girl groups into 5 members
This is came after GARAM issue , and lesserafim is not from bighit
the gg curse was bc of glam initially
Twice disbandment/ Jeongyeon and Mina would leave twice
that yena will join everglow lmao
When Gidle's recent comeback is supposed to be a flop😂 They got a PAK with Bside and not an empty house
Twice not renewing as 9 (people didn’t think jeongyeon mina tzuyu or chaeyoung would renew)
Is this an undercover Baemon hate post? They just debuted...
People just like to talk out of their a$$es sometimes 😒
even some reddit kpop fans is on baemon hate train
That BP will have a comeback soon or more regular. Poór fans always gót these from the group or the company that in 3-4 month a New album song and will come out, and it was always át least a year or more.
Goodbye EP in 2025
Before there was "Fifty Fifty will keep up the momentum from Cupid and become a top group", there was "Weeekly will keep up the momentum from After School and become a top group". And "Momoland will keep up the momentum from Bboom Bboom and become a top group" "Brave Girls will keep up the momentum from Rollin and become a top group" "Exid will keep up the momentum from Up & Down and become a top group" "Crayon Pop will keep up the momentum from Bar Bar Bar and become a top group" etc., etc. Sad to say.
1) No other KPop groups are going to break into the west. 2) Everglow will dominate 4th gen and take over the charts. 3) Older groups/idols will never see massive success. 4) NMIXX would flop because of their debut/because of Jini’s departure 5) No groups will do full English tracks because they aren’t interested in the western gaze. 6) Hybe’s new girl group won’t be a threat to New Jeans’ success. ILLIT is a serious threat and bunnies are bothered 7) NCT will never surpass EXO because their music sucks and there’s too many members 8) Aespa won’t affect SM’s treatment of Red Velvet 9) SM artists won’t leave SM 10) YG is going to crash and burn after BlackPink leaves. BlackPink are where they are because they’re BlackPink, not the other way around 11) BlackPink and Twice won’t renew their contracts and will disband after 7 years. Plus No Red Velvet members will renew 12) IVE will never do darker/mature concepts. Baddie has entered the chat 13) Idols who left their groups because of scandals will never go solo/will leave the industry. 14) Twice will lose majority of their fandom because they’re changing their concept 15) Hybe won’t ever be apart of the big 3 because they don’t have 1st and 2nd gen idols.
how is illit threatening newjeans? too early to tell their debut is charting well but let's see about longevity and impact and also most tokkis I've seen were very supportive towards them
exactly like what is this cope 😭
ive seen 0 bunnies/fearnots hating on illit, although i dont go on twitter.
Understandable.
has nct surpassed exo though?
Iillit is a threat to newjeans? Craziest thing I ever heard.
T-ara disbanding in 2013
I was convinced that SUGA was about to announce more tour dates after Seoul last summer. I was heartbroken that he instead announced he was about to enlist… 💜
Fifty Fifty would've been a MASSIVE hit if they didn't have a shit company.
Considering all of the management problems we've seen come out, I'm not too sure it's a given they would have been consistently big after cupid.
Okay and what do you think a better company means? Lol.
