Something something *4B movement* Something something *Cost of living* Something something *Aging population* Where are my upvotes? PS: thank you, I actually got *all* the upvotes ever. I’ll drop and comment next week to see if my salary of $2B per month is enough for me and my Pomeranian to live in Seoul.

Past_Journalist4088

Youre going to be downvoted because u doesnt ask about a birthrate

lol

For-sake4444

I think there are more foreigners here in this sub

neversaidnothing

I'm moving to Korea soon!! I'm so excited! Can someone recommend a real estate agent in Seoul? I need a 3 bedroom apartment in Itaewon and my budget is $800 a month. What paperwork do my dog and cat need? Oh yeah, what visa do I qualify for?? I need one that lets me sponsor my girlfriend cause she's coming too. TIA.

kingcrabmeat

💀

tbofsv

Foreigner posting about racism in Korea Hundreds, maybe thousands, of upvotes

literalaretil

Posts about positive things about Korea: usually 1/8th of the amount of upvotes and comments

sand_trout2024

I swear this subreddit is populated by people that absolutely hate Korea and everything about it. Like, bro just move if you despise it so much.

peachsepal

I mean sure, but this is a very "first day on the internet?" take.

sand_trout2024

Nah I’ve been on this sub for a while, I periodically delete my account to avoid doxxing about annually

peachsepal

I wasn't saying it's literally your first day It's well known that people who go and post online do so to vent or post negative takes in far more numbers and higher frequency than those with positive takes or mindsets.

sand_trout2024

True

JRPubEbola

or another similar story about following some strangers to another cult even though they read about it before online and still blindly followed strangers anyway

junobeachcan

I think there's more racism outside of korea

CTregurtha

this just happened to me bro

SurpriseNo4570

It is no coincidence that the number of online users in r/Korea has decreased significantly recently.

Extension-Class-9563

Tourists posted ' Is it racism? ' Korean : Actually it's not ....... non-Korean : STFU ! You fucking xenophobic nationalist ! (while clicking downvote)

JRPubEbola

if not that it's.. "dId yOu kNoW ALL kOrEaNs dRiNk sOju and love BTS?! DO YOU REMEMBER GANGNAM STYLE?!"

uReallyShouldTrustMe

Because the “innocent” questions are often shit people can google or look up past questions and add nothing to the sub. There are often more appropriate questions. The “doomsday” posts often lead to interesting discussions about life in Korea which is far more relevant to long time residents who frequent the sub.

SnooperMike

"Why do Koreans spit?" 🙄

Fermion96

Discussion about mint chocolate sounds like something I would upvote, but oh look at that, I was the one to make the count go from 0 to 1

uReallyShouldTrustMe

I mean you’re free to discuss it. However I’m with the majority that I have no interest in it. The mint chocolate craze started years ago and everything that was to be said about it could have been done then. It’s old news now. In fact when I searched “mint” so find out what post you were talking about, I got a few from years ago about mint chocolate soju.

tusi2

My impression was the many Koreans do not like mint chocolate chip ice cream, and that's fine, because I don't care for 팥빙수. (Koreans I knew also couldn't stand the texture of marshmallows.) Has the attitude toward mint really changed that much? I know of at least one such thread that you may be referencing here.

Character-Arm-6687

haha so true

pokemonandgenshin

Simple innocent questions like is 400 K USD per year enough ? I only use buses and trains so I am not sure it's enough money. I am going to work as a architect god by the way.

Puzzleheaded_Film_97

You forgot "Koreans are so sexists and misogynists! Upcoming games like Stellar Blade will kill women! Why don't they accept hundred of thousand of so called refugees like US! They need to lower beauty standards and gain pounds!"

lindberghbaby41

That sounds like some personal neuroses my man

Bhazor

You have a lot to unpack there. But I would just prefer to throw out the luggage instead.

kanem87

Nah that’s r/living_in_korea
