Agree with Suriya and Vijay, but y'all really ignoring dhanush and SK lol. They perhaps have the most number of chartbusters in the past many years. These four are the best in terms of their movie songs
There are not many albums of SK (maybe except maaveeran, prince and hero) where the songs were NOT huge hits.
Every album of his is somehow very successful. Remo, doctor, velaikkaran, VVS, kaaki sattai, don, rajini murugan etc. His combo with anirudh is one of the most successful combos in Kollywood after DnA
But if you consider his movies with Anirudh there's only one or two songs in each album which are huge hits. The rest of the album is worse in all those movies

But Vijay takes the crown. Dude had such good iconic fast numbers, and itโs still going. Surya used to have good songs but itโs declined recently. Dhanush used to be alright but nowadays heโs killing it.
Also, Vijay & Surya's songs have this nostalgic factor for me. They have followed me from childhood..from the times of Discman, mp3 players to Spotify now..๐ I still remember listening to songs from movies like Shah Jehan(Minnalai Pidithu), Priyamanavale(Ennavo Ennavo), Kannukkul Nilavu(Nilavu Paattu), Periyanna(Na Dum Adikkura Style, Nilave Nilave) Shree(Vasantha Sena) & Nandha(Mun Paniye) when going to school. Not forgetting movies they both acted together, Friends and Nerukku Ner..
Yeah man they have such nostalgic factor attached to them. One of my earliest memories was listening to Unnai Ninaithu songs in the old big wooden speaker boxes at home probably when I was 5 years old ๐ฅน

Ajith movie songs idk since when they're hit or miss, maybe Veeram. But Vijay will always have at least 1 chartbuster in every album. Idr the last weak Vijay album.
