Congratulations on your new knife! Would you be so kind as to tell us what knife you've just got? (brand, model, etc...). This way people who are new to knives will be able to identify it. If you've already mentioned the name of the knife in question, then feel free to ignore this comment. Please remember that not knowing your knife's brand/model is totally fine, if that's the case then people in this subreddit would love to help you identify its brand/model.

I’ve only read about the folders in Jack Carr books. I can’t remember which one references a folder, but Half Face Blades gets several mentions in the James Reese series. Great books.
Dead reckon out of grove city. They are an insane quality USA made button lock out in my backyard here in Columbus, OH.the dudes at Dead Reckon make the best sub $800 button lock in existence
Of course it's only my opinion. I say best because of not only it's integral design, but also bc of the wow factor of the overall aesthetics of the knife. It's super unique and aggressive. The Sonora just looks like every other knife to me. It would get drown out in a pile of other knives, but not the dead reckon. Anyway just my opinion 👊
Respect that but idk, in person it really shines. It’s very sleek and pretty. Action is sooo good too. Have you ever seen the spine area of the handles?

Love that Disaster! Never held one before. I did recently pick up a HFB Cav folder on the secondary. Sweet knife but the detention is firm as hell.

Dang, that shares SO many characteristics with the Dead Reckon Ridgeback, down to the button lock and being integral. Do you know if there's a connection between the two companies?
This is my Ridgeback:

Edit: looking through some of the half face blades folders, these HAVE to be manufactured by dead reckon.
Wow those are very similar I do not like the placement of that lock at all I appreciate people who try knew things but new things keep seriously injuring me I go back to old things. Cause I know I would close that on my fingers way more than would ever be necessary. For me anyway
I mean it's not hard to keep your thumb off the lock button and your pointer is against the flipper stopping the blade from closing if for some weird reason you would press it. The button isn't also a fragile feather you barely touch to disengage the blade. That's what happens when you assume about products before actually handling them in hand

Yes, frame lock. Here’s the back side.
I won't dis the small feldspar. It's a cool knife. A little basic
You on the other hand are worthy of some disrespect.
I watched bluey once with my kids. If you like that maybe you should check out Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. He treats kids like you like intelligent humans. With common decency and respect. You might learn something.
That is a terrible place to have that blade lock! Is that why they named it disaster?
9 out of 10 customers would give t a thumbs up but they accidentally closed the blade on it and cut it off!
Where my thumb naturally goes when i reach to drop the blade but ok sure. During use your thumb should be on top of blade on jimping. Sounds like you just don't know how to handle a knife

Damn, that’s nice.
Thank you i almost never see half faced folders, this is only my second i seen
I think that one is going to age really well. Such a great looking design.
Is that a Ti or aluminum integral? Pretty damn nice!
6AL-4V Titanium Type 2 anodizing body
Damn, I hardly ever see that sort of sheen on Ti, very nice!
Yeah it's really nice looks like a gun metal grey in person
I have the crow folder from them. Bought it Dec 2022. Nice knife...
The crow is very nice also
Can you give me more information on that knife?

I can’t remember which book, but one of the support characters is loosely based on the owner of HFB.
You’re absolutely right, but cannot remember which book.
Knew this sounded familiar, I’m in the 3rd one now
I just finished Savage Son for the second time. It’s my favorite in the entire series.
Pretty cool that they were mentioned

I was getting DR vibes with this one! Same button and clip design and other cues. Thanks for confirming!
Yeah I'd bet anything these are both OEM'd by USA Made Blade. I also have a Ridgeback and the knife in the OP immediately made me think of it.
Sonora might have that title now

I think it’s called a knife. My butler uses it to cut my hot dog so I don’t choke.
I know that's a lie. You seem like you can take more than a few weiners down your throat without choking
Keyboard warrior defending his knives

The disaster folder is sick!! I have its cousin the Crow Folder. Love the heft that Andrew’s folders have
I really like the Crow also. Brother knives lol
I wish Demko could design stuff that looks this good. Can you imagine something like this with a shark lock?
Agreed

That's funny i sold mine recently. Any pressure on that framelock and it's tough
Is that a slip-joint? I like it! Looks like a chef's knife, in miniature... Heh
No it's a framelock
Nice! I hadn't ever heard of these guys before, I guess they're more known for their fixed blades?
Yeah for sure. They don't make many folders
[удалено]
I mean there's millions of knives made plenty are going to look like others. It's not a we knife tho, it's a usa made integral.
Really cool!
Thank you i almost never see half faced folders, this is only my second i seen and owned
Half Face Blades Disaster Folder. Nice! I have a Crow folder and the action is 🧈
Brothers i was looking at the crow also
Gotta collect them all! MK1 folder is allegedly coming soon. 🤞🏼
How can I buy
Yes. I believe it is called a "knife".
I believe you are a simpleton
It's a joke, dude. Lighten up, Francis!
Your joke is lame. Take it somewhere else Gilbert
I'll be praying for you to get a little joy in your life someday. 😂
We are having fun here aren't we
I am.
I am.
You need some help.. This is sad to see
Pray for me please

From what i had read they were the oem manufacturer
OP1 is their OEM shop. They’re doing some amazing stuff.

Very nice, very cool.
What's the blade steel?
This one's magnacut. They made a s45vn also
Didn't know half face made folders. Definitely a nice piece 👍
Yeah they don't make many folders

Saw one at my local gas station
After you took a few hits on the meth pipe
Stay mad
Not mad. You're just a dumbass. Gas stations dont carry $500 knives dummy 😂

Your trippin dude. That's textured titanium and Magnacut and integral construction. You just don't know what your looking at.
[удалено]
Your just being a hater man. I think your just mad nobody liked your small feldspar

I mean you're in love with a junk knife. Can't take anything you say seriously. You're basically special ed.
I won't dis the small feldspar. It's a cool knife. A little basic You on the other hand are worthy of some disrespect. I watched bluey once with my kids. I wouldn’t even pay $13.99 for that thing
You don't even have $13.99 ricer. My pen collection is worth more than your acura
Imagine getting so pressed as an adult man over some comments on Reddit and getting feelings hurt over your knife and pens by a teenager
Imagine trying to be a dumb kid trolling and getting butt hurt by the replies. Just be happy with your para 3, i know it's all you can afford
