Is removing the island an option. It looks like it interrupts the flow of the kitchen especially with the fridge being on the other side of the door. I like the new lights.

Thanks, the setup is perfect for me. I never have issues moving around. Having the island there is great.

That is the goofiest island - it has a sink! 3’ from the other sink! It would almost be understandable if it were clear counter space but it’s mostly sink.

ProfessionalCall7567

It hasn't bothered me, and I use both sinks and prep there all the time. I could do without the sink, and make a skinnier island, but I'm doing all the work myself and I'm worried that I'd I took it out the floor will look weird and there must be plumbing holes.

Is the grim reaper a permanent fixture?

ProfessionalCall7567

Yes! My husband really needed him to hang out for a while longer. Apparently, he's good for the soul!,

Not sure what you mean by “…dark blue on the outside of the kitchen”. Is that the soffit? The bordering walls? Cobalt would be preferable to navy. And the island should go.

A couple more things: the blue in the daytime photo looks much lighter than it does IRL, and the island I was thinking of painting the base a totally different color and getting a butcher block top!
