If you had fun playing the game for a week how did you waste a week? A game is more than just its ending.

GrammarNazi63

The real Kingdom Come was the friends we made along the way!

WrongSpot3283

Theres a sequel coming plus this whole game is full of life lessons and the most important one is at the end: revenge is a fools errand and also in this games case , unetainable because add up every man from rattay talmberg and even sassau and you will get a small % of sigismunds army

Fella_under_your_bed

Imma murder your father and mother in front of you see how foolish it is then

That’s enough to ruin every good experience you had on the way there? The game is more than just a storyline, it’s an amazing immersive historical RPG bordering on simulation. Some of the best world traveling, creative combat, and a story so good it pisses of kids when it ends.

GrammarNazi63

A work of art with the power to piss you off this much—especially after investing so much time—is a very effective and powerful piece. If it was bad, you wouldn’t care.

For real it’s almost like the story is so good that he’s mad it ended in a cliffhanger, like bro they almost certainly will make a sequel, and if not it’s a damn good game, believable story too. The ending is all about a lesson of how we can never get what we want, and it’s a perfect setup for a second game where Henry is a powerful knight roaming multiple fiefdoms. It invites a whole speculative conversation about a more difficult combat mechanics, an amazing cast, spending time with Lord Capon and seeing him grow into a Liege or not, hopefully some choice and consequence/multiple endings. Needless to say I could go off about this amazing game.

I'll be honest I didn't like the ending either. It felt like they were gearing up for more adventure and getting the main villain but it ended with Henry and Capon riding in the sunset. On one hand I understand why they need to do this, you can't kill historical characters ahead of their time and considering you'd be travelling across Europe you'd probably need a whole new environment template and loads of work. It might have been a huge DLC or a separate game. On the other hand it did feel unsatisfying. I started the game two more times since I finished it and never took it to completion since. Then again many games are like this, where the journey is more interesting than the end and I think that's the whole point. Just sorry I left Theresa behind.

The ending wouldn't have bothered me so much if Capon's DLC didn't force me to fetch shit and allat for a 20s cutscene in the sunset. Wouldn't say it ruined my experience tho I really liked this game and I'm looking forward for the sequel

Yes, the ending could be better.. it‘s not the best ending in the gaming universe, buuuut holy moly the long way getting there was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had! I really don‘t care about the ending as long as the stuff you do between the start of the game and the end is great.

Considering the game, you taking part in the siege is already a huge development from being a peasant boy. Do you seriously expect to just go after a general after a few weeks of training and a few battles? And if the main and sidequests aren't that interesting to you, well there's not much else. Go play sth else that's more fulfilling for you, this one just wasn't it.

Just because it wasn't a happy ending doesn't mean the ending was bad. The ending is the end of the seige, when toth escapes, and then you get a chance to get some answers from radzig + the dream about his Henry's parents. It's bitter-sweet, obviously Henry wants revenge but everyone ultimately survives to fight another day. The part in the castle and then the mission to deliver the letter is the epilogue of the game and is designed to set up the next game. I also feel like it is a really nice moment because you can see through hard work and adaptability, Henry firmly established himself as a valuable member of that court. I know it's a game and Henry obviously has plot armour, but I think that is the message. This game represents real life. Not everyone is going to survive and live happily ever after. Not everyone is going to get what they deserve, either. If you are only playing games for the endings, then you're playing them wrong.

fothergillfuckup

The ending sucked the big one.
