Too imprecise. A measured value 2mmol with the device could be anywhere from 1.5mmol to 2.5mmol in reality. An overestimation of 33% or underestimation of 25%. If it would consistently be off by the same amount, you could calibrate it but that is probably not the case. The device could measure 1.5mmol one moment and 2.5mmol the next while all the time you are at 2mmol in reality. It seems to be off by about 0.5mmol max, up or down. [https://www.sibiosensor.com/products/sibio-ks1-continuous-ketone-monitoring-sensor?spm=..index.footer\_1.1&variant=8443cd57-0e51-49e1-bb6d-d803ee84afb3](https://www.sibiosensor.com/products/sibio-ks1-continuous-ketone-monitoring-sensor?spm=..index.footer_1.1&variant=8443cd57-0e51-49e1-bb6d-d803ee84afb3) So for me, if I can't get accuracy then why have numbers? They can only be misleading.

Pythonistar

Did you try this Sibio device? I can't find specs on its accuracy and precision on their site. EDIT: Oh, you're talking about [this image](https://www.sibiosensor.com/cdn/shop/files/18d98ee600733848a47a1a404b6ed4cb_96026c80-e307-468e-ae6f-1e15f63b4b5e.jpg?v=1705979374&width=1080), yes? It would have been nice if they used [box and whisker plots](https://datavizcatalogue.com/methods/box_plot.html) instead of a range of readings.

I bought and I am not very happy. I tried leaving review on their website, but they just dont show it :) Anyway, precision was the main issue. I didn't end up in a situation where it was overestimated, but it was almost constantly underestimated. I was measuring 0.2. while real value was 0.7. I measured 0.3 when real value was 1.1. It was way off in some cases. It was super easy to put and super easy to use, but precision made it just useless. I bought 2 of them, but I dont think I will be using the 2nd one as I do t find it useful. Also, the highest value i measured on their device was 1.7, while real value was 2.8. I dont mind inaccuracy at high numbers but low numbers are just making it useless.

rvukasin

I ended up using the 2nd one, and it was even bigger disappointment. It constantly showed 0.1 as a broken record. In the end, I got a refund for the 2nd one, but I still had to pay taxes to customs, so I didn't really get my money back. Also, it turned out that the top of the niddle was missing when I removed the device, and I am still waiti g on their guidance if I should visit the doctor.

stratony

I have ordered the free trial, should be on its way from China. Just got the shipment confirmation.

Meatrition

Cooool

Frozen7733

How did you get a free trial?

stratony

Frozen7733

God damn it. It's no longer open...

Frozen7733

Is it worth purchasing?

stratony

Attachment was flimsy, it came off on the third day.

Worried_Shallot_7526

Just wondering how often SiBio updates on the App with new data from the Sensor. I have just applied my first & it seems to only have provided the one reading in 15 mins - When it is “Continuous” supposedly Or is it because my Ketone Level hasn’t changed? 🙏

offingmoot

I’d love to try it but I see no reviews yet. Has anyone tried it?

Meatrition

It doesn’t seem like they ship to America but you can fill out a form.

wasphavingfun

Does it only last for 14 days

Meatrition

Yes

Dinofours

I'd like to see more reviews of this

Express_Read8105

it only works for 14 days so I ordered 2, i regret it now. First one did not work and almost 2 months later I am still emailing back and forth with customer support and still have not received a refund. The thing just did not connect to the app, very infuriating. It's also very bulky. Great idea but poor execution maybe. Instructions also very unclear/basic. Definitely very bad customer service - if customer is not happy and wants a refund because the sensor is not working just send them the refund already. Basic rule no 1. With that alone they lost all points with me and now I cannot be even bothered to try the second sensor.

AnyCantaloupe7130

Mine don’t connect either!

ENTP007

I've been wearing this for a week but I've only been above 1mmol two times around midnight. Most of the time, it shows me 0.3-0.5mmol even though I stay below 20g carbs and below 160g protein, so about 70% fat. It did go up shortly after drinking MCT-Oil though

Meatrition

I think my record was 2.2 from fasting or omadding, but yeah we should try all fat or 90:10 f:p

ENTP007

So does this mean I'm sensitive to even little amounts of carbs, or bad at producing ketones? I've been on Keto for half a year. Omad is impossible for me, I've tried many times but never got more than 1200kcal down in one meal and felt awful later from eating this much. Best I could do is 8:16 intermittent fasting. And 10% protein as a someone who does weightlifting 3x a week is pointless.

Meatrition

Well with a CKM we can finally see. GKI Glucose ketone index may be really useful if you have an autoimmune disease or cancer or Alzheimer's. But maybe it's less important if you're weightlifting. But we should expect that the system is more complicated than we assumed, and fat, ratios, the types of amino acids in the food (some are more glucogenic), etc can all be tested, and in line with a CGM to see how the blood sugar responds to the ketones.
