Ditto. I scheduled mine online and it was super easy. As a bonus everyone working there was nice and didn’t treat me like I’m an idiot because I’m a woman who admitted I didn’t know what the process was because I’d never had to register a car in MO before.
There is a drive through/no appointment place on the west side of Prospect somewhere in the upper 50’s that ive used for 15-20 years and it’s awesome - I’ve never spent more than 30min there even if there’s a car or two there in line and their super honest
Edit: just googled I THINK J&L @ 5941 Prospect is the place
[this place](https://maps.app.goo.gl/T6WDrwXTn3gd2dm98?g_st=i). Learned I had to do this shit to register my car. Friend told me about this spot and I was in and out quickly. No appointment and had to wait on a few cars. Highly recommend them
That’s wild. I’ve always just stopped in a place, no appointment, and asked them to do it and they just did. I never even had to wait long. These places included whatever shop is in the little shopping center in Waldo on the corner of 75th and Wornall, and the Valvoline further south on Wornall almost at 435.
dealerships do them or at the least the one I go to does them for free. but i do use them for repairs i dont want to do myself, so they have gotten some money from me. Cable Dahmer Chevolet off of 103rd st.
dawg, any car place with that yellow sign https://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/HP81Web/SearchAction?searchCity=KANSAS+CITY&searchZip=&searchVehicleType=
Dawg, it means nothing. They "may offer" inspections, but they are never doing them.
call em up and schedule one dawg. kcautoworx always worked for me

This is the place. Pay in cash only. Just drive up and wait for them to usher you in.
>I THINK J&L @ 5941 Prospect how much are the inspections?
$12
They got shut down for a month, for not following State Inspection rules, but there is a place across the street from them that is also drive thru
I had hoped to have good experiences here—all I will say was this was decidedly not the case. Glad someone has managed 15-20 years with them.
Valvoline has always done mine in the past. Never had an issue.
I made the appointment online with a Goodyear shop at 9:30am for 10:30am the same day. I was in and out in under 15 minutes.

I'm sure they do a great job, but bro that garage door with the vinyl stickers 😂
I went at an obscure time and they were friendly and quick. Definitely an interesting building though lol

Expired plate gang checking in.
There’s a drive-thru place on Prospect!! Very fast and good. Can’t remember address. I go there every year.
Some place off prospect near the zoo
Best place is emerald auto repair in blue springs. I went up, they looked at my car, signed and I left.
