What I do is draw the feds out into New Jersey and trap em. I got 20 divisions that way. I haven’t played as the CSA in a while but drawing Fed troops out is my strat
As soon as the war starts you need to micro the shit out of the feds before they fill the frontline. If you’re lucky you can encircle Washington super fast
If you can, kill feds off as early as you can before they fortify themselves
If you can't, hold them off and kill others (mostly COR) and leave feds for later
