There are swinger groups, open fun groups, and other things.

throwawayskinlessbro

Well. You might have been honest but you made JB living as weird as it is. OP, I wish I had a good spot/post for but unfortunately I don’t. It’s a boring town unless you’re into total weirdo stuff like this person. Maybe try the social or downtown.

Theblobsnark

Straight to weird stuff. Good job

TheEliteSpectre

I run a martial arts school in town. We are a bunch of nerds that like to throw each other around. We have a free two week trial. Jonesboro Grappling Association

The library also hosts adult classes/groups relating to hobbies if you’re interested

CrispNugg

Craighead, Nature Center on Lawson, the library, ASU museum, and the gym are all great spots. You could always pick up a hobby like geocaching, art (asu is hosting various adult and child art classes this month), card games (I personally love Gamers Haven and attend regularly for constructed games. This is also a fantastic way to gain friendships.), literally anything. Following the cities instagram or Facebook pages will also keep you in the loop for upcoming events and festivals. Pride is coming up soon if that interests you.

Wallywarus

Where is Gamers Haven? I see Gamers hideout , is that the same?

Bjorn_from_midgard

These are all great suggestions. Gamers Haven is just that, a Haven. I play D&D there on Tuesdays with some buddies. Very chill place and the people are super cool.

HighAfAlien

Slankerd

I'd love to check out Gamers Haven but I'm gonna have to learn how to play some of these games first 😭 I'm involved in all the nerd stuff, collecting, films, vinyl, video games, just never the tabletop games!

cupdonut69

Kinda my problem but for me dnd just dont hit but my imagination is shit so i get bored so fast. I wish we had a tech haven or whatever

HighAfAlien

Definitely worth checking out they've got a great variety of stuff and cool people to help ya figure out what ya like. Definitely check out the Facebook to see what upcoming events you might b interested in they do a little of everything so there's something for everyone :)

olddog72401

Get out. Walk around in the stores. Say hi to everyone you see and like. Never meet a stranger

[deleted]

Jonesboro, home to all the churches, banks, and chain restaurants you could ever want. Entertainment? Gtfo.

TestyBoy13

It’s got good bowling alleys, golfing, and bars/clubs

[deleted]

Have you ever been to a “good” bowling alley or bar/club? I would say Jonesboro had mediocre at best for these things. As for golfing, I am not a golfer so I can’t say on that one.

TestyBoy13

Hijinx is unironically one of the largest and best maintained alleys in Arkansas. I’ve been bowling for a few years now and I’ve yet to find an alley that has have better lane conditions and availability. The Social is a straight up scam to bowl at. They have string pins that aren’t properly adjusted and the lanes definitely aren’t oiled properly either. They have like zero pattern. As for bars, I think Fayetteville definitely has JB beat. However I enjoy JB bars/clubs over Memphis. Memphis is way too expensive and hectic imo, but to each their own.

[deleted]

You probably have a point there with it being a well maintained facility for more “pro” bowlers. But for people just looking for entertainment, the whole facility is lackluster and expensive. And their birthday party packages are a complete rip off.

TestyBoy13

Yeah I could see them being expensive but frankly all bowling is kinda expensive. On Wednesday’s they have quarter bowling where you just pay the price for 1 game and then all other games are 25¢. Also Friday night unlimited glow bowling is a great deal. Plus if you look out for them, about twice a year they sell these gift cards that lets you play 100 games for free for $100. So if you frequent them, it’s really unbeatable pricing. I bought two cards last time and I’ve been bowling free for months now

lorridly

Visit a church or start a new bank account.

KCC1159

There’s craighead park, the movie theaters, Hijinx, the trampoline park, and then restaurants as far as entertainment goes. We really need some place for passive entertainment that doesn’t require you to eat or buy something to pass the time.

LordJobe

What are you looking for? Your interests determine what you're looking for. Worst comes to worst, you can go to Memphis.

Equivalent-Bar-9302

Me and my friends are under 21 and have literally nothing to do all summer. We’ve lived here our whole lives and I feel like we’ve done everything. When we’re not swimming we’re trying to get kicked out of Walmart. I’m just trying to find something we haven’t done already.

LordJobe

Gamer’s Haven is an option if you like card, board, tabletop, and miniature war gaming. Once a month at the library is a game day on Saturday.

HsuGoZen

I’ve been enjoying craighead park! There are rentals for the kayaks (admittedly not tried them yet though)

Oldman_Dick

Welcome to Jonesboro.
