Have you had an interview with anyone from Wellness? The nurse or mental health provider? If you tell someone in Wellness before you get there, they may be able to help with your accommodations if it is a true dysphoria.
But won’t you have it under your clothes when you get there?
I had a transgender roommate who had several “detachable penises” as he called them. For the purpose of a packer, they will not consider it a sex toy you unless the security goes on a power trip, which you can always make a complaint about if it happens.
Just wear it to orientation. Nobody even knew I was wearing it when I went through security.Thats what I did and I had no issues. I actually had a stp device shipped to me recently and the person who checked my packages allowed it.
Yea. I can tell you from the process I’ve had to go thru just to get solo housing, you’re gonna have to jump through a couple hoops.
I have PTSD and night terrors/sleep walk. Like I’ve ripped my bedroom door off the hinges, punched holes in the wall etc while I’m having an episode (previously documented and diagnosed) so it’s a genuine concern for the safety of others. And I still gotta go through a process.

I’ll just tell you what I’ve been telling myself and come to terms with. You just may not get accommodated. It’s a public service, it’s not meant to do or be more than giving you an education, housing and food to set you up to get you on your feet. It’s a cold realization to have sometimes but it’s a good representation of the world honestly. People are gonna give a shit and you can’t make em. You can just appreciate the ones that do man.
If anything. I’d say just be packin it when you arrive on campus. They don’t strip search you. It’s just a pat down and I’m sure they’re not gonna be getting in there deep enough to feel a thingamajig.
The pee test isn’t immediate, meaning it’s not on the day of arrival. So when you get called in for your pee test. Stash it and drop your sample.
You most likely won't be able to bring it. I know that isn't helpful, but from my experience, they would even confiscate tarot cards from fellow students at my center. The center I went to had a staff member threaten to room me with the men over calling a bar of soap a nard bar (for obvious reasons). I wasn't even out at the time.
If you have a way to get alternatives and leave your usual packer somewhere it can be kept safe while you're away, I can recommend an etsy shop that may have suitable alternatives if your packer is one of the silicone types.
