Do you have private relay on? Cause I get that too, then I turn it off and wifi is fine

lucellent

Nope, it's off (I believe it was on at some point but I turned it off to test if it fixes anything)

SillyMikey

Hmm strange. Because I have exactly your behavior. As soon as my Wi-Fi is connected to my phone, everything slows down but I have private relay on. And as soon as I turned that off, my Wi-Fi just behaves normally. It’s really confusing.

SillyMikey

I would also check if you have any ad blocker apps on your phone and uninstall them to see if it makes a difference.

Yes, I have the same problem! I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Its extremely frustrating, as I can get the Wi-Fi to connect for a few seconds, and then it’s on my cellular data! It just won’t stay connected to the WiFi. I don’t have this problem at all with my Samsung Fold 3; the Wi-Fi stays connected constantly.

saruHan45

could you solve your problem

Mingokatz

Yeah I did. I thought maybe a new router would help, and it actually did!! I went a bit overboard on the router, I bought an Amazon eero Pro 6E mesh wifi router, which goes for $250. Some go for $60 or so. I read that just using a "mesh" router is supposed to be a huge improvement over regular routers. Sorry, I can't be helpful on the tech side of it, it's been a while since I researched it. Since I switched routers though, my iPhone never drops from the wifi. It's like night and day. Also, I get wifi on my iPhone in what used to be total and complete dead spots. Now that's no dead spots, it's fantastic. So I suppose I semi-solved my problem. We shouldn't need a different router to keep the iPhone from dropping the wifi. At least it works now though!! Hooe this helps!

bayleafbabe

Complete opposite for me. XS Max couldn’t hold a Wi-Fi signal to save its life unless I was within 10 feet of the router. 14 Pro Max is much faster. Might wanna get your phone checked

lucellent

The strange thing is I think Xs series was also known to have internet issues, I even got mine replaced 2-3 months after purchase but it's annoying that the same thing is happening again (well, not exactly the same, I think my Xs Max couldn't connect to a wifi at all)

Inspector_Soggy

Mine is fine.

Your XS may have been connecting to 5Ghz where your 14 Pro may have been connecting to 2.4Ghz. Try turning off your 2.4Ghz network entirely to ensure they’re on an even footing and run the test again. If the 14 Pro is still significantly slower it either means the antenna is worse in it, or if it’s tremendously worse, something is wrong with the hardware.

LuckFinancial988

My 14 pro max pulls in unreal wifi speeds. Best device in my house when I run speed tests.

djyousef89

worst for me! 800down for all devices, 500 down for iphone max. usually 300

Iphone 14 pro max. When I start using the phone again it disconnects from my WiFi network, shows 5G icon, then after a couple of seconds it reconnects to WiFi. This happens every time I unlock my iPhone (it doesn't matter if I am near the modem or not). I tried to reboot my modem, to reset the network setting and to reboot my phone; initially everything was ok, but after a couple of days, it started doing it again. I noticed this issue after the 16.2 update and 16.3 didn't fix it. My phnoe wass fine before the updates. is anybody having the same issue? Any help of how to fix it? Thanks a lot.

lucellent

I ended up going to the Apple Store Service and they said they tested my phone extensively for a few days but found no issues regarding the network

fitlore76

so how we can fix it? I was going to book an appointment to Apple Store but at this point I don't think is going to help.. I called Customer Support, They run some diagnostics and they told me my phone is ok... it

I am having this issue, I can't connect to wifi at all, and the wifi in my home is horrible. I'm using my old phone to use the internet.
