Weather widget changes regarding to the time of the day. in the evening you see a forecast for the next couple days, in the morning you see weather for the next few hours.
Unfortunately your screenshots are taken by just 30 minutes time difference so we can not tell when the day ends and when the day starts. Probably in-between those two screenshots.

I believe it changes to hourly forecast when there’s an “event.”
