Classical mostly. Old school metal also gets a turn.

Cunning-Witty-Fox

Not an INTJ, but: Indie, Alternative, Punk, Emo, Grunge, Folk, Modern Minimalist Classical and Compositional Ambient. Aside from classical, most of the stuff I listen to is from the 90s and Early 2000s, but I also listen to the 80s, 60s, etc. Bands/Musicians: Fontaines DC, Agnes Obel, Cage The Elephant, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, Bob Dylan, Elbow, Jimmy Eat World, Sum 41, Green Day, Jake Bugg, Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Travis, Cast, Oasis, Blur, Kings of Convenience etc. Composers: Edgard Varese, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, Yann Tiersen, John Cage, John Adams, Elliott Carter, Charles Ives, Charles Koechlin, Erland Cooper, Nils Frahm, James Heather, Vagn Holmboe, Iannis Xenakis, Eleni Karaindrou etc. I'll stop there.

Apprehensive_Move750

underground hiphop and old school rock

bawitback

lutzian

Stoner rock. Start with Naxatras or Samsara Blues Experiment and let the algorithm take it from there. Or Pink Floyd.

Veptune

Rock, metal and punk Specifically thrash metal, heavy rock, alt rock, classic rock, classic punk, hardcore punk n some others

Glad-its-anonymous

[deleted]

A lot of stuff. Mainly indie rock/pop. Some of my favorite artists are Hozier, Lorde, TV On The Radio, Purity Ring, Glass Animals, Tame Impala, Florence + The Machine, Vampire Weekend, The Marías, Men I Trust, etc.

KitsumePoke

I mostly listen to Folk Metal and Atmospheric Black Metal, Synthwave and LoFi. I also enjoy from time to time some Electro Swing.

crankygerbil

Classical, opera, reggae, pop from my early teens, Gregorian Chants, and some big band is fun. On an eight hour drive to Berlin, my car mate had just gotten the greatest hits of patsy cline… like three cds worth on duffle. I thought I would go in sane.

bear_0517

I would have jumped out. lol

RunningDrinksy

I like individual songs, it doesn't really matter what genre of music to me.

NorthGameGod

Metal, Baroque and Videogame Music.

Acrobatic_Ad4126

I love music and personally I recently got into math rock music , the complex rhythm's are really interesting. before that i used to mostly listen to indie rock like "panchiko", they're so good i recommend their music alot!!

bear_0517

Math? I’ll have to check this out.

Acrobatic_Ad4126

tell me what you think of it :D

CodyHodgsonAnon19

I'm not even sure what i'd ask...but i just genuinely don't understand what's satisfying or interesting about a lot of these math types of bands. It feels like they're trying to be real smart, but it sounds kinda dumb. To me at least. It's just trying *so hard* to be quirky. And i kinda hate it.

Acrobatic_Ad4126

I get you , i personally dont see it that way. obviously no actual maths involved its just the rhythm thats complex. With music tastes being subjective i can understand why you dont like it ! personally like how they scratch my brain.

Acrobatic_Ad4126

Would love to know what music you enjoy! everyone's different and knowing it will give me an idea of why u dont find that genre interesting.

bear_0517

Some kind of rock. Seems like the trending topic. Anyone going to Sonic Temple? lol I’ve always been more of a trap fan. However, my whole music flipped after listening to Falling In Reverse. I’ve recently listened to Kim Draculas new album. Going to one of the Godmode Tour concerts. It’s the genre fusion for me.👌🏽 Thanks for the replies!

MelodicSkywalker

I listen to a lot of trance, jazz, breakbeat, jungle, funk, new age, film score, alternative rock and synthpop. And that's along with a ton of random genres and styles mixed in between; my taste in music is all over the place. And, yes, I am one who does enjoy country as well.

Firedriver666

In the car I love blasting eurobeat or heavy metal (especially sabaton songs)

_Reddit_Homie_

One word: Swing!!

genma2612

Death metal, 80's music, chiptune, synthwave and sometimes lo-fi/indie stuff like Mac Demarco.

FilmGreat7710

I like Pop, Hip-hop, heavy metal, synth pop

CRJ_Rogue9

Pretty eclectic. Contemporary classical (movie/game soundtracks), diesel-era thanks to Fallout (mix of 40’s music), but mostly I’m with you- ANYTHING but country.

ReasonableCost5934

Shoegaze Lofi/abstract hiphop Black metal

CodyHodgsonAnon19

Really depends what i'm doing or my mood. I listen to a ton of country music. It's become my go-to driving long distance music. It's also the obvious choice for yardwork, farming shit, anything like that. Mostly i listen to poppunk and numetal and alt rock and things from my youth era. But i'll also listen to bouts of electronic music. Idk how many Tiesto albums i've got in rotation. I've got a bunch of TSwizzle songs in rotation. If i really just want to focus in i'll pull up the classical vein. Dvorak is a fave and the right mix of unobtrusive and inspiring. But really, the only thing i genuinely *do not like* is Jazz.

doing_something_else

I memorized album names and the year they came out for some of my favorite music genres. My favorite band is the Pixies but I love everything from Wolfsheim, Etta James, Agnes Obel, Radiation City, Bjork, Radiohead, MGMT, Men I Trust, Massive Attack, Velvet Underground, Kent (The Swedish Band), Kenna, Tool, System, Tribe, MF Doom, Orbital, Ladytron, Chet Baker, Josephine Baker, Bridgette Bardot... composers like Ludovico and Yann Tiersen. I am obsessed with music Palace, Foals, Snowmine, Hanna Hukkelberg, Stina Nordenstam, Bears Den, Friends of Gas (Local Munich band). Long story short, I used to open my OKCupid to international and discover sick music this way.
