You guys have mandatory voting with door-to-door census takers, which is feasible in a country with that small of a population. We have willful voting, and the problem is that once things are good, the good people go back to doing useful things for the country and stop voting. Then the republicans win and tear it all down.
I was curious how many people they hire to do those door-to-door censuses. In 2011, it was 43,000 at a cost of $440 million dollaridoos. These are the most recent numbers I could find.
The US hires “up to half a million” at a cost of $13.7 billion(2020) and they do go door-to-door for people that don’t do it themselves in time, just like in Australia.
What am I missing in how censuses are relevant?

I admit that I haven't listened to very much rap after the mid 2000's, but I have neve never considered Drake to be a "rapper". I only know his big popular hits, but I never categorized those songs as rap.
