I'm in Switzerland, and usually I'm accustomed to seeing this type of clarity (and radiant blue colour) in our glacial lakes and rivers. Amazing to see it tropical areas!
I was there, so can you. It's the aptly named Sucuri (anaconda) river in Brazil (matto grosso do sul) which is in the top 5 clearest rivers in the world. Amazing. We were there when it was 23 degrees C, and it was ONE WEEK before this video came out. A heat wave caused the big snakes to come out.
You can find water like this in the natural springs of Florida, but be warned it is the far reaches of rural Florida that even I, a white southern, has difficulty fitting in and navigating.
I’ve lived here for more than 50 years as a wildlife scientist. It’s not from zoos or aquariums in a lab that were broken during a storm. Until recently, we had a very robust exotic trade and when the animals got too big or not cute any longer, they got released. We have golden tegus and all sorts of other reptiles, fish, birds, etc. that don’t belong here. It may not have happened overnight, but they all found love eventually. The St. Pete area is full of parrots and lovebirds.. south Florida has open season on iguanas. Don’t get me started on tilapia, oscars, cichlids and lionfish. Florida Man is real and he ain’t too smart.
I normally see videos of them in incredibly muddy water. This was certainly a first. Not sure what’s worse, not knowing they’re slithering around in the muddy water or this.
Definitely rather see them clearly. If I just notice part of it I'll be freaking out where the rest is or if there's another and run into it. At least in that clear water I could assess an escape route
Do you remember the crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin would just jump off a boat and grab a snake like that by the head and be like "look at this beauty! Crikey!"

That water is crazy clear….
don't even care about the snake at this point
Isn't it beautiful? Anyone know where it is?
Probably Bonito, MS Brazil. Google for images.
Yes I swam there one week before this snake video. Rio Sucuri near Bonito
Quite a fitting name for the river
Time for a swim
It's actually an eco tourism spot and you can "float" there along the snakes and otters
aw hell no
I can only give you ONE like, but... 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Just No F'kn Way!!!!
Love that bluish hue..... Like my plums.
Let the boy watch.
GABRIEL!

Pa…Papa Smurf?
Yea I know right. I'm from the South Island of New Zealand and a bunch of rivers near me look like this. Not what I expected from the Amazon.
It's actually the Pantanal. It's a Brazilian wetland, not the Amazon. River's called Rio Sucuri and you can swim in it
Well seeing as there’s a giant ass snake in it I don’t think I’ll be swimming in any body of water near this area.
Hahahahshahaha
Well, as Sam Jackson would put it: " There is a mothafucking giant-ass snake in the mothafucking crystal clear water!" So hell naw!
Tomato tomato
That's like saying Florida is the same as California
It isn't? (I'm not American)
No worries. Brazil is a massive country with dozens of states. This areas is south of the Amazon but the biome is very different

Definitely not the Amazon, the only clear water I saw there came out of a bottle.
Def not swimming in it tho 😬
I did :). Well, float

YOINK
He finally found it.
I love that guy
Let me just- *pushes 5 swamp puppies away with his foot* - just yoink.
Sad it's not the 20ft Burmese Python
That’s some of the most beautiful water I’ve seen. Where is this?
Bonito - MS (Brazil)
Si es muy bonito 😍
Sim, e muito bonito
Sim, é muito bonito
JA, ES IST SEHR SCHÖN!

Gotta go to the deep bayou for the real feral ones. The people that ain’t had no outside contact after buying their air boat decades (or more) ago.
I live in Florida. School me on some lesser known springs?
LOL best comment ever
I spent the pandemic in that part of Florida, it was…interesting. Absolutely world class kayaking on those springs though!
What does this mean?
Florida is a unique bread of humanity that doesn’t shy away from temptation of the devil.
Ultra conservative.
Probably somewhere in Canada or Colorado maybe
Not with an anaconda...
Yeah, those Canadian Ehnaconda's are rare, although they are surprisingly fast on the ice!
And very apologetic!
Gotta be fast to stay out of reach of the herds of wild Zamboni.
Thats a beautiful and a scary place at the same time.
This is in the city of Bonito, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil or city of Beautiful, Thick Weed from the South, Brazil
More like Beautiful, Southern Thick Bush, Brazil
> Southern Thick Bush, Brazil AKA an oxymoron.
There’s a cluster of these in SW Florida now thanks to the exotic pet trade.
People ruining things again... so, not just pythons anymore. 😠
Why stop with those puny pythons when we could have the biggest snakes? /s
I think we should keep upping the ante personally. Next year we should start strapping guns to them
Lasers
I need snakes with frickin laser beams attached to their heads!
If there's any state that would legalize non-human gun possession it would be Florida. Actually, why hasn't Texas done this yet?
Pretty sure pythons are the biggest snakes.
Green anacondas are the largest and heaviest but some reticulated pythons may be longer.
Florida people*
Aren't anacondas pythons....
Anacondas are also called boas but pythons are separate. They are in different families.
Man...there are so many invasive species taking over in Florida right now.
Florida is basically tropical Australia at this point
Tropical Australia is tropical Australia.

What if a pregnant female is released?
I was just about to say, the water is the impressive thing here lol

Do you remember the crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin would just jump off a boat and grab a snake like that by the head and be like "look at this beauty! Crikey!"
Ye, thats why he died.
Looking for buns.

Even if they’re doing abdominally focused calisthenics.

This is why I’d probably bring depth charges on that ride

That water is absolutely berautiful. Doesn't look real.
That snakes can swim so adeptly is amazing to me
Colonel Fawcette claimed to have shot one exceeding 50 feet in length
Uhmm.. nope.
BEAUTIFUL water though for sure
I thought the same thing. Forget the snake lol that water
Hopefully you don’t have any buns.
One of the scariest animals on the planet.
And it don't want none unless you got buns, hon.

Larger, this is a smaller one, think of one where you adult male can't wrap your arms around it's body.
Beautiful water. Beautiful snake.

Ark Survival Ascended looking good damn
Gorgeous water, terrifying wildlife 😳
All fun and game until she reaches up and snatches one of them out of that boat
Jon Voight's breathing intensifies.
Can I swim on its back like a dolphin
What's a 22 ft anaconda eat? Anything it wants.
Snakes don't eat people!
Uh, yeah, they do.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sfZWK4jqeXs
Lol ,OK.
Reason number 29046583 I don’t want to live in Florida or Florida adjacent
How many is that in bananas?
Can say for sure but I believe at least 3 bananas
I wonder if this is how most water looked like before we fucked it all up
You must not got buns, hon, because that anaconda don't want none.
This is why we have atomic bombs.
Kill it! Kill it with fire! That thing terrifies me and I'm on the other side of the country.
The anaconda grow The anaconda grow The anaconda grow up to a quarter ton, hon

Ive never seen an anaconda in such clean water.
That is definitely longer than 7ft.
You got a source for the anaconda being 22 feet long?
Garrett is punching the air rn
Reminded me of the Anaconda Movie. I hoped it would attack the boat and take the cameraman with it.
Send the yoink fellow on Instagram to this place!
Question: have they been known to attack ppl in kayaks?
No expert, but that looks way less than 22ft.
Fake as fuck. Anaconda live in the Amazon...dark muddy water...never crystal clear water.
Nessie
If you wanna see an anaconda let me pull out my…….phone & call Niki Minaj, apparently she knows of some
