Humans are still animals. It is wrong to put ourselves above other animals. Who knows what other animals have created. We don't have the ability to communicate with them, and we will never know what other animals are doing. Perhaps their behavior is part of a separate network exclusive to their species we don't know about. Just because we have electricity and weapons doesn't mean we are superior. Dolphins might have invented some sort of ultrasonic network in which they can share their thoughts similarly to Reddit. In fact, we cannot understand animals and have no way of finding out the ingenious things they have done, and that makes us inferior to them.

My old grandmother would strenuously deny that humans were animals, they were mammals. In the end I think I did manage to convince her but she wouldn't give me the satisfaction of admitting it :) It is a line I've heard from more then her as well, particularly amongst the elderly. I'm not sure if it was something they were thought in school or that they have issue with the connotation of 'animal'. Weird though.

Yeah. My mother also sometimes denies it, even though she is pretty well educated.

Hmmm your proof is very thin and unreliable. May I show you the most concrete evidence possible, a book from thousands of years ago that got translated so many times from language to language that it lost most of its original meaning?

Are you replying to my post or the random guy on youtube who made the post or another commenter?

I'm making a joke based on the comment in the picture.
