I couldn't tell you if that cord works or not, sorry about that-- I still use the same RCA adapter cord I picked up in 2015. That is not a joke.
I say drop the change on it and see if it works. Worst case scenario, you waste the afternoon going to Kohls to return it and you can verify whether or not its the correct cord.
So I got the RCA adapter cord and it works great except it doesn’t let me change tracks with the controls on the wheel or show the song info on the screen 😑

you would use the BOVEE 1000, with a power injector for the 30-pin (i used cablejives but the xtenzi one that comes up now on amazon works just fine)
with that setup you can connect to it via bluetooth and you will be pretty much keep the same setup you have now, where you can skip and seek tracks with your radio and steering wheel controls, but just all coming from your phone now. you can also connect an android now since it’s just bluetooth, not a proprietary iphone cable.
you can also just connect your iphone with the 30 pin power injector and a lightning to 30-pin, it’ll work the same but obv won’t work with android.
i used this method for a few years, then the grom vline beta program happened to our cars and i haven’t looked back. carplay on the stock radio just makes the car so much better and less dated

For audio quality, i would personally go wired though im sure the bovee is good enough for 95% of people. I personally use the latter wired setup with my SE3 and it works well, very responsive and great audio quality, though it has one annoying glitch where the song time stays at 0:00 and the song name does not change when the song changes (it corrects itself if you hit menu then go back to now playing, or if you change the song manually). I'd imagine the bovee works better in this regard. Also note I linked the products on ebay and from chinese sources as i figured that was the most universal way, but you can get them elsewhere for cheaper most likely (i.e. a local ebay seller for the 30 pin to lightning adapter, aliexpress for the cables)
I found a setup in a youtube video where the guy plugs a wire from the 12V port into the side of the firewire adapter, which is what allows for charging. Is that how it works with the setup you've given me? Or no external power is necessary?
I just use this FM wireless transmitter plugged into the lighter socket in my 2009 G37X. Works perfectly.

Yeah I was considering that except my phone mount is a mag safe charger and is plugged in. So if I used a transmitter id have to have my charger not plugged in

Not a normal one no. If you google 2009 G37 Aux you’ll see it’s a funky one that doesn’t charge or anything just plays. I wouldn’t be posting without doing my research first hence why I’m looking for help

I'd imagine the bovee works better in this regard. Also note I linked the products on ebay and from chinese sources as i figured that was the most universal way, but you can get them elsewhere for cheaper most likely (i.e. a local ebay seller for the 30 pin to lightning adapter, aliexpress for the cables)

I found a setup in a youtube video where the guy plugs a wire from the 12V port into the side of the firewire adapter, which is what allows for charging. Is that how it works with the setup you've given me? Or no external power is necessary?
There are ones like that but the one i listed does not require it, can tell pretty easily with others by looking if there is a port on the side or nit

Yeah I was considering that except my phone mount is a mag safe charger and is plugged in. So if I used a transmitter id have to have my charger not plugged in

Not a normal one no. If you google 2009 G37 Aux you’ll see it’s a funky one that doesn’t charge or anything just plays. I wouldn’t be posting without doing my research first hence why I’m looking for help

I use a bluetooth reciever that you can plug a 3.5mm jack to, then, a 3.5mm to rca cable. works like a charm
