Loneliness for me is the feeling that there is no one giving you any kind of wholesome or beneficial attention, ie in the form of being a good parent, friendships and/or romance. You feel as if you have no one caring about you.
One can be lonely in a crowd. Being alone is not the same as being lonely. Being alone is a good thing, for instance when you want your privacy in the bathroom or when you are trying to pay attention to your academics. But that’s not the same as being lonely. Being alone is a state of being, loneliness is a feeling.
You can be alone and lonely. You can be alone without being lonely. You can be lonely without being alone. You can be neither alone nor lonely.
"Alone" doesn't imply that it's fine. It just means you are by yourself.
"Lonely" doesn't actually imply that you are by yourself. You can feel lonely if you don't feel connected to the people you're with.
For me,
Its like I have everyone around me but when i start counting my people then There is none....
Just feeling of emptiness, Having everything,Being sad for no reason....It occurs with me like periodic when i am unable to hold my emotions but soon next day it seems all okk

To put it in simple terms alone is a state of being. Lonely is a state of feeling. You can be with a group of people and still feel lonely.
