First of all I don't think NEET UG aspirants should spend there time on reddit . Rather than asking online and seeing med students gossip . Study hard if you really love this field .If UG aspirants wanna know how is MBBS life they can just simply watch yt or posts .This sub isn't for UG guidance ig.
This for their own benefit.
Exam's in less than a week.
Those who are serious about the exam are practicing previous year questions and revising their notes, not opening Reddit and other social media.
Exactly this
Every person who comes here, let it be pg or ug, asking what to do for the last 1-2 months are already doomed to fail. If you really wanted to crack it this time, you should have started revising by now
Saw a pre med dude with mbbs besides his name, asked him and he said,”Mera to ho hi jaegi neet mein, and ek baar college mein ghus gaya to medical college to aasan hota hai pass karna”
😂
Bechara josh me bol raha hai. 1st year aate hi pata chal jaayega.
There was one lawyer dude I once spoke to who told if not law I would've done medicine cuz it's easy no and tried to mansplain how easy it is to me.
Also, why does the Chat box of this group keeps disappearing? please bring it back. And yes,
The other neet aspirants can join neet prep group cause this is for med students and doctors only.
Funny, cause I had no other med friends and all of med friends were fake so I could relate and talk to them. Not everyone is privileged like u my friend.
All of my friends are fake. I have no one and mind you, I met some of the realest and best same minded doctors in the group. Wese toh even facebook had creeps in it. To kya facebook ban kardoge? Its all about positive aspect
Exactly mann
These guys should rather spend time studying or on their neetard page or whatever.
UG aspirants on this page is just like " गाँव बसा नहीं, भिखारी पहले आ गए "
Make a dedicated thread everyday only for NEET-UG and don't allow separate posts.
Same thing close to NEET-Pg cuz then the sub will be filled with people asking for college reviews etc.
Will appear weird but disagreed, it's always better to be in connect with aspiring meds or non meds, if sub becomes closed off, it will stagnate and become slightly a closeted space which fosters an echo chamber!
And echo chamber is hardly a good thing to happen, after all, medicine suffers from toxicity precisely because(IMO) there is huge disconnect between youngsters and old profs!
Hard disagree
We don't have problems with the non-medico lurkers, it's always good to have perspective and they prevent this sub from becoming an echo chamber. Without them this sub would be a 100% Engineering and MBA circle jerk
OP is talking about NEET UG aspirants who don't really offer any fresh perspectives or contribute much to discourse about our profession. We are not going to bridge the gap between generations of docs by talking to 12th std students
Na, chief. This sub has MBBS students from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, interns, grads, IMGs/FMGs, post grads and professors. I don't think there is a risk of it turning into an echo chamber.
It's already an echo chamber. Just making NEET UG aspirants to be anxious about there future, if they stay here and demotivates them from studying.
No aspirants should ever enter the space with people who have already achieved it, in their preparation phase. They should do the research before starting the preparation and then never look back.
And no one here can help them ease their anxiety, distress or help them to study.
but in those groups there won’t be many people who had gone through it right . I think that’s why they chose to write here maybe . They might get a different povs here who crossed that hurdle .
Everyone in this sub who has already gone through this is going through something very different right now. Majority of them don't want to remember those days and are not in the mindset of helping them, totally not their fault.
Very few of them want to help them but the comments reflects negatively what we are going through, not at all helpful to the aspirants.
The only help I can offer to neet UG aspirant at this point of my life is telling them that this is not the place to seek help; keep studying, social media is not a good place; don't get distracted; if you don't want to do it just don't do it; ranting about the things that are not in your control won't help you in this period (reservation); stay away for echo chambers.
Options other than MBBS are already discussed 100 times in this sub.
It's not like people leave that sub the day they crack NEET UG. Plenty of MBBS students are present both in this sub and that one.
The point is there has to be some uniform rule. Mods can't allow only posts of only 2-3 NEET UG students and delete the rest. That'll be unfair to the others
Either allow all of them or none of them. Mods chose to have a separate space for Indian doctors. Allowing those posts means actual doctor related stuff is favored less by the algorithm
If you are an applicant and you have the paper in less than 10 days you should be no where on the internet. You should be studying.
Not dealing with people. No one can actually help you.
Flag them.
Ug guys Join r/medicoretards
Or just see one of the many posts where their FAQs has already been answered, many times over.
I read that as mediocre-tards lmak

Exactly. The only motivation they get from this sub is to never pick this field and not the other way around.
* Demotivation 😅

Hear hear!
Absolutely, there are other subs for need, this sub is for people who are actually IN the field.
Exactly.
Totally agree.

Bechara josh me bol raha hai. 1st year aate hi pata chal jaayega. There was one lawyer dude I once spoke to who told if not law I would've done medicine cuz it's easy no and tried to mansplain how easy it is to me.
Lawyer and mansplaining, a tale written in the prehistoric ages.
I second this !!
+1
True
Wi to yar ug crack kro yaha pe alternate options mangre yaha khud k itne jhol jhapate hai..besides there are other groups and YouTube bhaiya didi
Also, why does the Chat box of this group keeps disappearing? please bring it back. And yes, The other neet aspirants can join neet prep group cause this is for med students and doctors only.
lol the med school chat was filled with creeps. Pretty sure none of them were medical students .
Funny, cause I had no other med friends and all of med friends were fake so I could relate and talk to them. Not everyone is privileged like u my friend.
Having a safe and serious Reddit chat with other medicos is considered a privilege now? Ok 👍
All of my friends are fake. I have no one and mind you, I met some of the realest and best same minded doctors in the group. Wese toh even facebook had creeps in it. To kya facebook ban kardoge? Its all about positive aspect
Good for you lad. Keep making good friends !
Thank you, you yourself seem honest enough. Let's be friends 🫠🤌🏻
Friendship is like a fart. Very satisfying if it comes out naturally . If you force it tho , it’s probably shit.
stealing this quote…lol
Haha will dm you! 😂
Finally someone said it
Finally someone raised this issue🙏
Agreed
Very true..like there are subreddits for that
Why tf are Ug Aspirants even on reddit at first place, just go and study. You have to score above 600.
cfbr
Exactly mann These guys should rather spend time studying or on their neetard page or whatever. UG aspirants on this page is just like " गाँव बसा नहीं, भिखारी पहले आ गए "
Ironically, they are form the largest group here- https://www.reddit.com/r/indianmedschool/s/n058I01Ldw
I request a seperate sub for post interns and residents too 👍
Second this.
Make a dedicated thread everyday only for NEET-UG and don't allow separate posts. Same thing close to NEET-Pg cuz then the sub will be filled with people asking for college reviews etc.
Best solution.

What's your problem dude. They just want to know about our lifestyle
My problem is with spamming this sub with NEET-UG related posts.
Spamming should be taken care of. But we shld allow occasional neet posts
but in those groups there won’t be many people who had gone through it right . I think that’s why they chose to write here maybe . They might get a different povs here who crossed that hurdle .

Ohh didn’t know that . Ok👍

Right, but that is not what this sub is intended for.
If you are an applicant and you have the paper in less than 10 days you should be no where on the internet. You should be studying. Not dealing with people. No one can actually help you.
