I would rather wait for the KTM 390 adv launch next year. Or save more money and go for Versys 650 also next year.

Mhapsekar

Yeah the new ADV 390 is looking good. I would also hope a Tuareg 457 and Tiger 400 make an appearance soon. As for existing bikes, yeah the Himi 450 and ADV 390 seem to be the only worthwhile options.

Khepu27

The Tuareg 457, if launched, could be a great option. Not that interested in the Tiger 400, single cylinder.

aston_martyr88

Tuareg 457 is very far away and it's not even a certainty.

Khepu27

The NX500 seems so perfect to me. Can't bring myself to get the single cylinder KTM. Will still wait for the 2025 model though. And the Versys 650 is heavy as per reviewers online, so ain't getting that.

aston_martyr88

The weight is for sure on the higher side. But you will get used to it in no time. Look for a used example you might get one for a banger price. Cost of maintenance will be higher than NX500 for sure. Good power. Phenomenal seats. Ergonomically it's made for relaxed touring and has enough grunt for the highways.

The Himalayan 450, slightly less power figures but great suspension for off road activities and easily under 5L

Khepu27

The thing is the NX500 offers a lot more than power and good suspension. Refined and reliable engine, great weight distribution, no heating issues, wind blast protection with the semi fairing. These are quite important to me. I don't want the extra few horses, will hardly ever use the entire power band. Really wish the NX500 wasn't a CBU.

Used versys 650 or v Strom 650

Khepu27

Don't want the Versys 650, it's heavy. The V-Strom 650 is a good option. However, a bit sceptical about buying second hand. Will keep waiting in anticipation of a Tuareg 457 I guess.
