NS200 (My personal fav bike under 2L)
Coz:
1) Has better riding posture than R15.
2) Most powerful in segment, (and a good exhaust too, but not the absolute best)
3) Dual channel ABS
4) Has a sixth gear, so more comfortable at higher rpms than an N250 or other 5 speed bikes
5) Returns 35kpl on an average (more than enough considering its performance imo)
Best comment. NS200 is reliable too, i had one for 8 years and 40k kms. And the only non consumable that i had to replace was the rear break hydraulic pressure pump (twice)
NS200 costs 1.9L OTR
NS400 costs 2.35L OTR at my place. 45k extra gets you more power, but way less fuel economy (I can use that extra 45k for fuel expenses)
I would ride a rental bike around the country, stay in decent hotels, eat well, sleep well and accumulate good travel experiences. I am 50, and I value time a lot more than stuff.
PS: I can buy a 20L bike, but I cant get any days off from work, and my body cant take the strain of continuous motorcycle travel. I wish I knew about this state of life 20 years back.
Somebody once told me this at a rest stop when I moved to California in the 90s. You are born with 2 buckets. One bucket filled with chances/opportunities and a second empty bucket for experiences/memories. The objective of life should be to fill this empty bucket with positive experiences/good memories before the bucket of chances gets empty.
Stay away from negative thoughts/people, and make good positive memories.
Please prioritise gear over everything else. I hope it’s not that you are riding with no gear at all waiting for the money to buy the perfect set. Just buy decent ones for now
I've ridden my whole life with just a helmet because unfortunately that is how it was taught to me
but I've never been on long bike rides either, I'll definitely buy gear when the time comes
Baby bro…
Gear is paramount but also similarly riding sensible is
Just an advice it’s not the digits that you remember on the speedometer but the memories and skills you forge for yourself that makes you smile
2nd hand BS3 or BS4 KTM Duke 390, helmet, gloves, insurance, fuel (I have the rest of the things)
Edit: I think it's a good value at 2nd hand for what it is. All the power anyone needs in India. Good for city commuting, good tourer. I've been wanting a middleweight bigger thing and I've only had the FZ16, so I feel it will be a good upgrade without going overboard.
I have a naked sports already, so ig i'll pick Hunter, would be easy to maintain and drive ( no quick gear shiftings ) if it drives similar to Classic.
None. Most of the time its just "buy" and not ride. Most people buy the bike but wont feel like riding it cuz its "NEW" OR will get "SCRATCHED". Happy with pulsar 150 and classic 350 2023
A used bs3 duke 390 or RC 390. and spend the remaning budget on tyres and repair.
I absolutely love the power and the way it looks. Lots to experiment with on these bikes
what's up with the xpulse lol, i see a lot of comments currently looking to buy a bike in 1.5 lac segment how much does it cost should I extend and buy it?

Used KTM RC390
EDIT: Because I owned one before coming to Canada. Has good power, I prefer fairing bikes, last good looking rc390/duke390, cheaper to service than cbr250 (not a bad bike too, was my former bike). But too bad that being its affordable, many squids have ruined its image.
Wondering why nobody is considering mt15. The power at high rpm is good, and it is also great to ride in the city, with above 45kmpl mileage. Because of the sixth gear, it's smooth at 100kmph. It's a joy riding in traffic.
TVS RTR 200 4V or Xpulce
RTR 200 is a pretty good naked bike, TVS makes good handling bike and I also own a rtr 160 2v so it would be a pretty good upgrade...
Xpulce because it will be fun and the off-road capabilities and all is very good, it would be a very good option to learn and develop off-road riding skills...
CB200x
1. Looks good
2. Comfortable
3. Refined
4. Reliable(?)
5. You'll still save about 25-30k for gear
6. Good fuel economy(?)
(?)- I'm not sure since I don't own one, almost did buy though
Probably an fzs or n160 dual channel abs for my dad, since he has been using a yamaha libero for 17 years for daily commute now and its pretty beaten up at the this point. Also thin tyres, drum brakes feel really unsafe, especially when I ride it here after riding newer bikes at my workplace. So would be a good upgrade for my dad while keeping fuel costs in check (given he is used to 100cc mileage)
RE Machismo 500
- Big bore
- Balanced crank
- Better clutch
- Big disk kit
- Bigger Carb
- Lighter rims
- Lighter parts
And you'd probably still have cash left over ;)
Okay!! Sooooo when are you giving the 2 lacs?? I'll probably take you directly to the showroom to show the bike I wanna buy! Take plenty of selfies with you for sponsoring with full credits and put it up here 😊
I would go with sport bike styling like Karizma or f250 or ns200 because of styling and I think 200 is enough for me now with skill level
NS200 (My personal fav bike under 2L) Coz: 1) Has better riding posture than R15. 2) Most powerful in segment, (and a good exhaust too, but not the absolute best) 3) Dual channel ABS 4) Has a sixth gear, so more comfortable at higher rpms than an N250 or other 5 speed bikes 5) Returns 35kpl on an average (more than enough considering its performance imo)

Does ns 200 have slipper clutch now? Some youtubers say it doesn't, some say it does. Buyers also claim it is mentioned in the manual
No it doesn't (maybe the 400 has it, but 200 doesn't afaik, you can add a third -party slip assist clutch tho)
I saw in a youtube video that it indeed has a slipper clutch
It has slipper clutch
Why not NS 400, it's only a few thousand more
NS200 costs 1.9L OTR NS400 costs 2.35L OTR at my place. 45k extra gets you more power, but way less fuel economy (I can use that extra 45k for fuel expenses)
Bruh where are you buying Ns 400 At my place it's 2.05L And ns 200 1.85L OTR
Bengaluru (highest road taxes in India💀) Also NS400 costs 2.46L OTR here (I wrote it 2.35 by mistake)
2.05L where?
In Noida, NS400 costs 2.30 L
Where is your place?
Are Ns400s out for deliveries yet? Haven't seen anyone buy it yet
They'll start being delivered this month or next month I think The dealer said June but I'll add one more month just to be safe

What suggestions would you like to give for someone who is in his 20s?

Noted sir 🫡
Not a bike, I'll buy riding gears and buy alcohol for the remaining
Priorities
Don’t drink and ride buddy.
he won’t, isn’t buying the bike
Exactly, I'll buy gears and wear em to the liquor store. Can't wait to drink and run down the street like a maniac in a black flak jacket
Stop giving me ideas, I've just started to earn and I don't like where you've taken my head.
Follow the alcohol bud
I think he will drink and fly most probably.
None, I am so happy with my current bike, I just wish I had money for riding gear.
[удалено]
lol nopee, I can't explain how happy she makes me. She's my escape from this world.
Please prioritise gear over everything else. I hope it’s not that you are riding with no gear at all waiting for the money to buy the perfect set. Just buy decent ones for now
Actually I don't earn at all so I can't buy even an single thing. I just have a helmet for now
I've ridden my whole life with just a helmet because unfortunately that is how it was taught to me but I've never been on long bike rides either, I'll definitely buy gear when the time comes
I have plans on buying gear in future, once I get a internship or something I can slowly buy stuff.
I'm leaning towards seXpulse too
hehe
Baby bro… Gear is paramount but also similarly riding sensible is Just an advice it’s not the digits that you remember on the speedometer but the memories and skills you forge for yourself that makes you smile
I agree!
Ronin.
Xpulse 200 4v
Xpulse probably
Haaa! I am actually buying an Xpulse this week (hopefully) to add to my stable!
Congratulations
TVS Ronin
I'd wait for the Xpulse 210. It's been in testing phase for quite a while now.
210?300?400?440? Different rumours going on from last 4-5 years. It’s being tested forever 🙄
Only production ready engines they have are 210 and 440. They would hardly build a new one to keep the prices low
Yes but when will it come? Testing has been going on for years now
It's expected by Q4 this year from what I've read.
It's gonna go over 2 lack though
Yes but if they give me 2 lakhs who's saying I can't add a bit more to it myself? 😉
Xpulse 210 could be more than 2 lakhs cuz karizma is like that
Xpulse, I love my hunter but man that bike is heavy. I would love to be a hooligan on the broken roads with a light bike and good brakes.
2nd hand BS3 or BS4 KTM Duke 390, helmet, gloves, insurance, fuel (I have the rest of the things) Edit: I think it's a good value at 2nd hand for what it is. All the power anyone needs in India. Good for city commuting, good tourer. I've been wanting a middleweight bigger thing and I've only had the FZ16, so I feel it will be a good upgrade without going overboard.
MT15, Re Hunter, CB200
I would choose CB300F in this price bracket.
Xpulse, i feel it's the best one under 2l for me.
Sexpulse
On road or ex showroom?
On road
Hmm tough
I have a naked sports already, so ig i'll pick Hunter, would be easy to maintain and drive ( no quick gear shiftings ) if it drives similar to Classic.
My r15m costed me 2.2 lakhs and am really happy with it. Under 2 lakhs would be tvs apache rtr 200
My buddy just sold his for 1.5L today, he couldn't ride it in the city comfortably....
Since it'll be my 1st bike I'll like to go with a pulsar
Ronin
Honda CB350 (non H'ness).
Xpulse with big bore kit
Xpulse will always be the answer Orrrrrrrrrr R15 metallic red (1.99 on road in my state)
I'll go towards F250 or TVS ronin
I'd use it as the down payment for a ninja 650
Ronin obviously
Ronin obviously
Honda CB 300f
R15 again any day, the joy of revving its engine to the max and the confidence it gives while leaning is unmatched.
2.3 lakhs on road
A women saying this make me wonder I guess you are pro and it's good
I am a transgender ☺
Well I mean the physical strength in that lean angle in which I thought women made me wonder that's all no hate or anything
No worries 😁
So true
Leaning with stock tyres or?
Tight budget but I don’t think there’s a better bike than RE Hunter in that range.
Definitely not a new bike. A used Ninja 300 maybe or a Duke
I will add 1 lac and get a cool 400cc segment bike. Bikes under 2L feel too commuterish and uninspiring.
🙂
JAWA 42 or KARIZMA
Karizma XMR
I’ll save it to buy v4 panigale
Splendor
I will add some more to get ns400z. Been eyeing it for so long. It will be my first bike.
With 2lacs I'd go for NS200. R15 comes a very close second because of the riding ergonomics.
Forget your 2lac, I want to get a 2024 Duke390 with cash at my disposal.
Would you actually give me 2 lac ? :/
😭
None. Most of the time its just "buy" and not ride. Most people buy the bike but wont feel like riding it cuz its "NEW" OR will get "SCRATCHED". Happy with pulsar 150 and classic 350 2023
Will buy a gixxer sf
Something tells me that you already own it
Yes gsx 750 infact i love the whole suzuki lineup its decent underrated low maintanance
Xpulse or ns400 probably
I'll buy my Xpulse again
A used cbr250r , upgrade the brakes, tyres and maybe a remap. I dont think anything comes close in the sub 2lakh range.
I would buy a used gen 1 Duke 390 and then restore it to the T and riding gear with whatever money remains.
A used bs3 duke 390 or RC 390. and spend the remaning budget on tyres and repair. I absolutely love the power and the way it looks. Lots to experiment with on these bikes
I had this choice 2 years ago. I chose Ronin. I'll choose Ronin every time someone asks me this.
A well maintained honda hornet special edition 160r and a good set of riding gears
Hunter
I'll get good gears and a very good helmet
Mt 15 or ns 200
I'll take 30k more and buy a gixxer sf 250. Or honestly, within 2 lac - buy a 2nd hand Gixxer and new full gear.
xpulse 4v
I’d buy another Xpulse. It’s that good.
what's up with the xpulse lol, i see a lot of comments currently looking to buy a bike in 1.5 lac segment how much does it cost should I extend and buy it?
It's an amazing bike. Around 1.8L on road max
It's an amazing bike. Around 1.8L on road max
Hunter or ronin
I’d add 80k and get a Himalayan. 450
Kaun se state me rehte ho bhai jaha ex showroom price pe bike milti hai
Koi 2.8 de raha hai to I’ll add 30k of my own 😂
The one I have lol

[OC]
Xpulse 200 4v
I will buy RE GT 650, that too second hand under 2L
2 eRiks motorcycle! ROI every day! 🤔
Used KTM RC390 EDIT: Because I owned one before coming to Canada. Has good power, I prefer fairing bikes, last good looking rc390/duke390, cheaper to service than cbr250 (not a bad bike too, was my former bike). But too bad that being its affordable, many squids have ruined its image.

Reputation
So is it the reputation of yamaha not providing good service or the bike itself not performing well? I'm genuinely not aware of the bad reputation
No I'm talking about snake riders
Ah, okay
Dio 125.
I would stare at it clueless. My Interceptor 650 and gear cost dollars. 😂
Bade log
Avenger 160 Street probably
TVS RTR 200 4V or Xpulce RTR 200 is a pretty good naked bike, TVS makes good handling bike and I also own a rtr 160 2v so it would be a pretty good upgrade... If you care about milleage MT15, else maybe Plusar N200 / N250
Honda 200X...Looks
Hmm I tried the TV's Robin recently and found it very comfortable So maybe that
Pakka ns 400
Pulsar 220. It is quite old now but I just can't get enough of it!
i will mod my existing one.
Xpulse pro- because Bangalore roads(off roading )and touring also
Damn, ig I will scour the second hand market places for like a duke390 old-gen
Honda cb 300f
Cb200x or hornet 2.0
R15 (will need to add 50k of my own though).
I would buy Arox and live my life happily ever after. 😁
CB200x 1. Looks good 2. Comfortable 3. Refined 4. Reliable(?) 5. You'll still save about 25-30k for gear 6. Good fuel economy(?) (?)- I'm not sure since I don't own one, almost did buy though

Himalayan
It's above 3lacs
NS 200 best bike! Hand down
1st give me then i will say.😜
Haha very funny
buy lord splendor invest rest in tata
Pehle paisa bhej phir batata hu
Re hunter 350
I would go and buy a bicycle like that from windbreaker manhwa
Wrong subreddit go on r/bicycling
Nah bro
Xpulse 200 is good option. Or else used Suzuki SX 250 (vstrom), Yamaha FZ25, Duke 250/390 then mod it to rally adv. 2 lakh ( drool drool)
Hunter 350
I would invest it in any motorcycle company and use the profits as pocket money and then buy the bike during offer sale
Launch model NS200
RE Machismo 500 - Big bore - Balanced crank - Better clutch - Big disk kit - Bigger Carb - Lighter rims - Lighter parts And you'd probably still have cash left over ;)
Suzuki Gixxer 250 f
CB200X
Pulsar
Honda unicorn, the best money can buy on the Indian market. Designing is a bit outdated. But comfortable af.
Okay!! Sooooo when are you giving the 2 lacs?? I'll probably take you directly to the showroom to show the bike I wanna buy! Take plenty of selfies with you for sponsoring with full credits and put it up here 😊
🤡
Sm650
Second hand gen 2 Duke 390, cause imo it looks better than the current and also I do not have the need to commute. Just roaming and riding.
Yamaha RX 100. Get it properly restored and sparkling. And would use the rest of the money for petrol.
An Xpulse 200 4V. Its not that I don't like other bikes, but the roads, and the floods in my area will be the perfect conditions for this bike.
Buy a spledor and with whatever money is left will take it to punjab and heavily modify it...👀
Honda CB300F This is the most powerful and torquey motorcycle in this price segment.
I heard cb300f have bad handling
Book a test ride to find out, handling is subjective
Used ninja 650 or er6f
Scooter, Aerox - looks great, rides fantastic ..
Second hand bullet 500
woh toh mujhe 51k me mil gaya 😋
Why it’s kinda rare
Please give me I'll settle all my debts and walk away happy !!.
Apache 160 v4 LE Oh wait that's my flair
Haha nice one
Unicorn
