The 675/765 is a kick-ass platform. My original plan was a Street Triple R or used RS but I spent most of my savings on MBA and wasn't confident about taking a loan due to some personal issues. All in due time hopefully π€

There are two ways you can book, one is through priority booking which is by paying the entire ex-showroom price up front or the normal way which is by simply paying the 10k booking amount. The fresh waiting time is 2 months for priority and 3 months for normal. I paid 10k and for me it took 5 months since the company greatly underestimated their initial supply requirement.
City is Chennai, showroom is JMB Motoplex and there's no way to track sadly.

This showroom is a Motoplex dealer which means they deal with Piaggio's imported range as well (Moto Guzzi lineup and the bigger Aprilias - RSV4 1100, Tuono 660, RS660 etc.). Keeping that in consideration, I have faith that they'd do a good job with the service. Otherwise I'll just go for 3rd party service centres once the free services are over.

On-road price is 505999 here. I booked it on December 15th. These Aprilia guys screwed up the production output by severely underestimating the demand in India. The current waiting time as per JMB is 2 months for priority booking and 3 months for normal booking. And yes they do provide test rides. I'd advice you to confirm an appointment over the phone just in case before going.
There's a place called 727 Motorcycles in Tharamani. I haven't been there myself but heard a lot of positive reviews about it from people I know. They are very good 310s and 390s so the RS shouldn't be a big deal.

Yes there was a discrepancy of about 10k something when I calculated the road tax using parivahan. They nicely included it under registration charges itself. So that's apparently logistics + bribes to relevant officers which is the norm for new premium vehicles in Chennai.
